An example of the bow or warp in one of the sides

I bought a fiberglass pool because I THOUGHT I would get a premium product. Wrong! The pool was delivered with defects, warped sides. San Juan Fiberglass Pools sales rep said my installer could fix it. They couldn't. The installation company said they could not straighten out the warp and that it was an issue with San Juan's mold. Now I'm stuck with an expensive pool with warped sides. Please don't make the mistake I made by purchasing an San Juan Fiberglass Pool.

2/3/23 - Had to File with Attorney General's Office and Better Business Bureau, 6 months later, pool nowhere near done and AP Fiberglass Pools has 90% of my money. 11/30/22 - AP Fiberglass Pools Failed the ROC Inspection. Warped Pool Sides. Damaged Property. Case remains open. DO NOT HIRE this company and give them your money. And DO NOT purchase a pool from San Juan Pools. San Juan Pools will not even respond to me. Next I am submitting to Gary Harper with 3 on your Side, Call to Action. Check the ROC first on AP Pools, they had their LLC registered with the ROC in 2019 based off of 5 yrs that Jenna had with a Composite Co according to the ROC docs, had nothing to do with Adam, that is why everything is in her name and not his (not sure how they were able to build pools the previous years, even the ROC couldn't verify the "over 22yrs of experience" on their web site. Less than a year in business and already a Legal Case settled in 2021 from a 2020 debacle that is over 364 pages. Adam does NOT know what he is doing. And that is just 1 of the docs out of 5 attachments the ROC sent me (over 400 pages total, read it 2020A-01641-CHC-ROC Hearing Packet.pdf ). So much more that I found and it is all Public Record (PR-0003250, cost is $15 and well worth it) with pictures and outcome of how they failed miserably, and had to pay fines. The pictures alone of this poor lady's pool & outer structure will make you cringe. I see many reviews on San Juan Pools website of these same issues. Please do your research first, I regret that I believed a single word out of Adam's mouth. Do NOT hire this company. While continuing to go through the 400 pages, I am finding so many of the same problems with AP Fiberglass Pools that others have claimed. They are horrible at responding even before they take your money, and even worse after they take it. And then you are stuck with a company that does not know what they are doing. You will see it all for yourself in the several ROC complaint items listed out. I've compiled over 100 pages now of documentation and over 25 pics of sloppy/questionable work along with empty promises to fix. All sent to the ROC now. I asked for a refund back in April but obviously they ignored me. I dont think they have any cash flow. I've asked them several times to hire another GC to finish the job PLEASE when they wouldn't give me a refund - but again ignored. For my ROC claim, Case# 2022-08805, the Inspection is set for 11/30/22 but the pool area is a mess, nowhere near finished. Adam wont respond to my job abandonment emails & questions, started copying the ROC yesterday and today and sent 13 more pictures. Not that that will do any good. I want a real pool company to finish this! I encourage you to Google the top 5 reasons NOT to hire a small company and you will see the definition of this company. 10/13/22: DO NOT HIRE AP Fiberglass Pools. Update: Check the YELP post on AP Fiberglass Pools. I've added much more info based on the 400 pages of documentation I received from the ROC yesterday, Oct 12, 2022. All of this is Public Record. I will share more after I read through the 400 pages ( 2020A-01641-CHC-ROC Hearing Packet.pdf, license Redacted.pdf, 2022-06557_Redacted.pdf) First Post: DO NOT use this company, Check the ROC folks, they just got their LLC in 2019 and already a case settled in 2021. I am requesting a complete public record doc on the settled case and their prior "22 yrs of exp" history. They are horrible at responding before they take your money and even worse after they take it. I have over 12 pages of documentation and over 25 pics of sloppy/questionable work along with "word salad' promises to fix. I am filing with the ROC as well plus post on Facebook with the pics. I asked for a refund back in April. Just this month I asked them to hire another GC to finish the job PLEASE - especially after they put up this half ass safety fence and my dog ran out front. I screamed, felt like I was having a heart attack. She is a 2yr old lab puppy, curious of new stuff, and a runner. What if this was your child headed for the street? They scratched the heck out of my brand new gate, broke my shed, buried plants under dirt piles, stepped on plants and broke them, its been an awful experience. I have so much more to share, my lessons learned. I encourage you to Google the top 5 reasons NOT to hire a small company and you will see the definition of this company.

I've had great experience with my San Juan Pools "spa". I installed it myself a little over two years ago. Because it is a spa, not a pool, it is covered when not in use. I have not seen any color deterioration and so far so good on everything else associated with it. The older review that shows large spots in the bottom of their pool was probably caused by their sloppy installer. It looks like they didn't take precautions during the install and got sloppy with the grout or concrete when they were pouring or finishing it.

The biggest difference was how much stricter everything seems to be now. Anyone under 17 has to take a swimming test just to use the diving boards, which honestly seems a little ridiculous, especially for older kids and teenagers who clearly know how to swim. Even the lazy river has become overly strict. In the past, I've always been able to enter from the exit if I was already right there, but now you absolutely MUST walk around and enter through the designated entrance. I understand having rules for safety, but some of these little things felt unnecessarily rigid and took away from the relaxed, fun atmosphere I remembered. The staff also seemed more annoyed and less friendly than during my previous visit. Nothing terrible happened, but the overall vibe was definitely different. I had such a great experience here two years ago, which is why I was excited to come back with my friends. Unfortunately, this visit just didn't live up to what I remembered. It feels like there are more rules, more restrictions, and a lot less of that easygoing, family-friendly atmosphere that made it so enjoyable before.

The staff is very concerned with water safety and taught us some new things we did not know. My only tip is not everything is open at once- for example the bigger slides and lazy river weren't open when we were there so maybe call ahead so you know what you're getting. For us, it was okay because we were there with a toddler. Their smaller size didn't have a height requirement which was awesome!

Also their longevity on business The good- Garrett Dow,the construction manager was the best person as far as communication goes. He always responded to my text and phone calls in a timely manner and he kept the project moving. The trades that he had on our site were always professional and easy to work with. The AI operator was helpful when I couldn't get a response from anyone. I liked their Builder Trend Ap for communication. What needs improvement- project manager didn't respond in a timely manner or not at all. Never picks up the phone. This is the main contact for the project and this added to undue frustration. Good communication is key to any project. It seems it's hard to find good people that have the skills to do this now adays. I will continue to recommend Shasta as they do build a great but just don't expect great communication unless they get better project managers

Lengthy But Miserable Experience We signed our contract and…read morepaid our deposit with Shasta at the beginning of January. We were told permits would be submitted immediately and that our prefabricated fiberglass pool would be completed by the end of March, or no later than mid-April. Instead, the project took six months to complete. Communication throughout the project was extremely poor. Calls, emails, and text messages often went unanswered for days, and getting updates was nearly impossible. Work crews frequently arrived without notice or failed to show up when scheduled. At one point, our project was left without a superintendent overseeing the work. The construction process was also disappointing. Equipment damaged our patio, fence, and the side of our house, and crews repeatedly left trash, pallets, tires, and other debris on our property, resulting in an HOA violation. The pool sat partially filled with stagnant water for nearly a month before work resumed. It wasn't until I filed a complaint with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors that progress noticeably improved. Even after completion, several issues remain unresolved. The pool cooling system we paid for has never worked, damaged coping and a broken pool tile have yet to be repaired, and the promised three months of complimentary pool service has been inadequate. On multiple visits, the technicians failed to properly clean the pool, and communication with the service department continues to be just as unresponsive as it was during construction. Overall, our experience was marked by poor communication, missed deadlines, lack of accountability, and unfinished warranty items. Based on our experience, I would recommend carefully researching other pool builders before choosing Shasta.

I can get them in the same class at the same time as long as they are swimming at the same level. Our girls have been in the water their entire lives as we have a pool. Even so last year they didn't like being splashed or getting their faces wet. This year they are getting their faces wet and they have our little one swimming down to the bottom of the pool to pick up rings. The both are able to float on their backs for 30 seconds. They do a fabulous job here. This year their teachers are Mr. Kyle and Miss. Ella. and Miss. Liz. They had Miss. Ella last year and adore her. Mr. Kyle and Miss. Liz do a great job as well. They missed Mr. Cooper this year. Our girls are late bloomers as swimmers, but even if they swam like fish they would never be alone by a pool or unsupervised. Not being pros at their age does not concern me. They are amazing and doing great. Everyone has their special gifts. They are getting better every week. The recreation center will notify you if lessons are canceled due to weather. They don't do lessons if lightening is within 10 miles. They will call, email and post on their Facebook page if they need to cancel. The gal who runs the office is a sweetie. We definately will be back next year. I wear a lot of hats and I think it is a treat for them to have others to guide and teach them.
