The showers are small but at least there's good water pressure. Parking is limited here, especially if you enter off of Hayden. There's actually two separate parking lots, one that's specifically for the Aquatic Center but it's tricky to get to. From Hayden Rd, take E Chaparral Rd to N Granite Reef Rd to E Jackrabbit Rd. That will get you to the secret parking lot. LOL. Love the surrounding park with it's lake and walking paths and even went for a short run after swimming on one occasion. It's unfortunate that this Aquatic Center is not open year round.

I think this pool is generally only open in the summer months and just for lessons and lap-swim. Make sure to check the schedule for times! I have swam laps here early in the morning at 6am and later in the evening at 7pm. In the morning there is a summer swim team that works out and takes up quite a few lanes; it is noisy and turbulent. The evening swim is much more enjoyable; sometimes I have even had the pool to myself. If you are looking for a relaxing and focused swim come in the evening.

We had 25 boys at our house and he kept the kids from getting hurt by stopping any dangerous horseplay by blowing his whistle and giving clear direction without being mean or intimidating. He constantly kept a watchful eye over the kids in the pool while I enjoyed our party and our guests. Knowing that the kids were all safe in the pool was priceless!!

The two outdoor pools are heated during the winter months, which results in a higher seasonal monthly membership fee until the spring. Downsides: 1) aging facilities - the swimsuit centrifuge and showers in the men's locker room are barely working, 2) frequent cancellations of swim hours due to hosting meets, construction, holidays etc, and 3) lack of parking - the lot is often completely full.

After parking in their complimentary lot without any issues, I checked in at the front desk. You can work out in a bunch of different ways at the Village: standard fitness equipment, classes, basketball, swimming, racquetball, and more. With that being said, they're known for tennis. While I don't know exactly how many courts they have, I'd venture to guess over 20. They're all outside... I don't understand why they don't have at least one or two inside given how hot it is in Phoenix. Which is why we decided to play at 8 p.m. When you're playing, you have the Papago mountains in the background which makes for a picturesque experience. The courts are well maintained, there are shaded seats, wet towels, and water jugs. All of this is a nice touch. You can also rent ball machines if you're practicing solo. The courts weren't busy since it was a Sunday, late, and it was during the summer, but if the weather is nice and it's a weekend, expect the courts to be packed. You can reserve a court to be safe. After working out, I showered at the facility. I was impressed here too. The showers are a good size, you have saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, and an area to chill with comfortable seating. You don't have to bring toiletries because they basically have everything you would need: soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, after shave, shaving cream, combs, q-tips, etc. Talk about convenience. For all of the amenities, you are going to pay a premium. More expensive than places like Mountainside Fitness. At least in my mind, it's only work it if you go several times a week. Or if you're interested in tennis especially. You can also take lessons for an additional charge. The staff I interacted with, though limited, was pleasant.

So an update 1)…read moreAnother new GM. 3rd one in the last yr. This one has been denied the job several times at a couple locations. Hired in house with no tennis experience. Tennis side of the club is livid 2) Renovation to Men's wet area are 15 months in and dry sauna works, nope, closed for the 3rd time this month. New tile is cracking .... 3) New Tennis director teachs at the club and has applied 5 times and on the 6th attempt gets the job. FyI 6tennis directors in 8 yrs Members pay the same monthly dues but Members who have been around have groups taking 7 or 8 courts every week and are not required to make reservations. THEY ARE GRANDFATHERED IN, per the new GM, Micki. OTHER members are required to get up at 4:55 AM, 48 hrs in advance to "maybe" get a court.

Liz the office worker walked me thru everything, time workers were scheduled to come and watching my pool fill to skimmer. My pool is beautiful and Richard completed the job well. Honest, ethical good quality work done on a timely manner…read more The tech didn't rush through it but really took time to diagnose the issues so it could be fixed properly the first time. The tech Richard was very patient as he explained to me. What needed to be repaired and got it all done the same day as the initial visit which worked out because he didn't have to order parts. He came prepared. He took time to also explain a few other things to help my pull vacuum, run more efficiently and made some suggestions. Very pleased with this company. Dispatch was also very nice and helpful. Taking time to listen to my concerns before scheduling the appointment Thank you very much. I will definitely request for American Home shield to use you again for our future pool needs covered under warranty.

Earlier this year, I tried to use a guest pass on my grandparents membership. I was unaware of how the process works, you know how instructions from grandparents can be. After a few phone calls I admit the mixup was on our end and they no longer have their membership so I continue to purchase a day pass, staff wasn't necessarily the most kind, but they were still professional. A few months later, I'm considering getting a membership since I'm on that side of town more often, the person that reached out to me stated that there's a note on my profile that I gave a fake name, and continued to tell me twice that after the enrollment fee fees and monthly fee fees, it probably would not be worth it for me to become a member. The vibe seemed to push that she did not want me to be a member. She was still professional, but it left a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel unwelcome to join. A shame because my best friend was looking to join the same week as me and now will not.

So I drive 10 miles only to see a sign that says the pool is down from October 27 for maintenance and repair. Whatever idiot was working at the front desk gave me completely wrong information and made me make a trip for no reason. They either hire extremely stupid people or they don't train them and my thought is that it's probably both. They're actively jerking their customers around. If I could give a zero I would.
