Update: today our daughter had her last class at the Mesa Aqua Tots and when she came out from the pool she was crying. We didn't see what happened but according to what she told us she was bullied by 2 boys in her group and pushed under the water. What really surprised us is that there were 2 instructors and only 4 students- they said that they didn't know what happened. 2 instructors supervising 4 students and they didn't see anything??? Our daughter was crying all the way until we got home, this is what we are going to associate Aqua Tots with. read more

To say I am done with this swim school is an understatement. We just showed up today for our 9am lesson only to find that the pool was closed AGAIN for the second week in a row. Once again, no contact from the school before we loaded up four kids and came out. Last week we were told that they would contact us to reschedule the lesson and we never heard from anyone. It is NOT my responsibility to make sure my daughter gets a makeup lesson when her missing it was not our fault. So again today the pool is closed. The only times that they have available to makeup her lesson is during the week which means for two more lessons I can't be there. It is piss-poor customer service and I will be canceling her lessons there immediately. I highly recommend you stay away from this swim school. I'm certain there are far better options out there. Updated review: the general manager contacted me today to apologize for the last minute cancellations. She said the school is testing a new text alert app so parents will know sooner if the lesson is canceled. They also credited our account for one lesson... I will give it a few more weeks and see how it goes. read more

We have been going here for a few years now and we absolutely love it. All the coaches are so amazing to work with and my kids have learned so much from this school. We feel so much more confidence with our 4 year old around water and are excited for our 10 month old who already loves the pool so much. I also want to shout out a few special coaches that we love! My daughter currently goes to this location for the fast track swim lessons. So I can only review on the fast track, which is held only certain weeks during summer. Location/Decor/Pool: This swim school is set on greenfield road, right next to a Dutch Bros. So automatically best spot ever. Inside they have a wonderful check in area to purchase any required items, snacks, and drinks. Large chairs in the waiting area for parents to watch and relax. Amazing!! The pool is large enough for the group's, and for the scuba school they hold here as well. Staff: Granted at first I was upset because it took a week for me to get any answers about swimming classes. But once I got registered it was a breeze. We come in everyday, staff welcomes us and the kids go get changed. I see the lead safety staff in the pool with the teachers which makes me feel super comfortable. Changing rooms: HUGE AREA FOR KIDS TO CHANGE!! Thank goodness lol. Multiple rooms and restrooms for kids. They also have free detangle spray, lotion, the works. Overall: I love this location, and I will continue my daughter's journey here as well. I can't say enough good things about Aqua-Tots. At first I was hesitant about taking our 4 year old here. I was skeptical that they would actually get our son to learn how to swim. We had tried before with no luck at other swim schools. We recently moved here from Tucson and my in-laws have a pool and he really needed to learn quickly and he was terrified of leaving the top step. The instructors here are very well trained and they know how to make the kids comfortable in the water and getting them in the water swimming quickly. In less than a month my son was floating and was able to move in the water. These guys know what they are doing and my son loves going to swim lessons. I want to talk about the amazing experience I have had so far. My son is 4.5 and has mild/moderate autism spectrum disorder. I signed him up for swim lessons and everyone there has been so nice and loving to us. They are so sensitive to Mavericks disability and to mine and my husbands concerns. Torre at the front desk was probably the nicest person I've ever met, she made me feel so comfortable. We signed up for 2x a week and I'm so glad we did. I love this place. read more

Our 5 year old has made such amazing progress since we've been coming here (starting Feb '18). We went from him being terrified of the water and tears, to now his lessons are the highlight of the week. The coaches have been very patient as they've taught the next new skill, and still pushed him to keep trying so he progresses at the appropriate pace. Friendly staff and coaches that care about the kids they teach and call them by name when the walk in the door. Highly recommend for kids learning this important life skill. read more

I have nothing else to compare them to but my experience with them has been all positive. They make the pain of taking a toddler to weekly swim lessons not a pain. The whole system is so convenient. You can schedule everything and pay online. If you prefer, you can easily call them to change a class. They also automatically charge you every month and email a receipt. You hardly have to do anything. Every staff member has been positive and cheery. The swim coaches are young but trained to be very enthusiastic and give great positive feedback. It is crowded with so many kids and parents there, but they are able to stay extremely organized with the multiple classes going on simultaneously. They also start and end each class on time every time. I'm very impressed with it all. My toddler is also finally enjoying her lessons now instead of crying like in the first few classes. read more

My son has been enrolled here since he was 10 months old, now he's 17 months old and still loving it! The amount of progress he has made is awesome especially at such a young age. Everyone is friendly and we are always greeted by name. His coaches Yazmine and Alyssia are always so sweet and encouraging. Even when he's not particularly feelin' the pool setting, his coaches are understanding and great at keeping a positive attitude. Nothing but good things to say about the staff here. Everyone is friendly and patient with me and my children. The facilities are as clean as you could expect. The only demerit here is due to a 4-to-1 instructor to child ratio at times. The kids just don't get enough practice in 30 minutes that way. read more

Very disappointed with aqua tots. I've been taking my kids here for a couple years now. They both do private lessons. I've been trying to make private lessons for my kids for two months now but no one likes to call back to make that happen. I was told once they had more room for private lessons they'd call back mid May. Of course no call back. I use to love bringing my kids here. But I guess my business wasn't important enough. They are more for group lessons than private. So if you want private lessons I'd say go elsewhere. It's a shame because my kids really loved going here. But after you have to call 2-3 times a week for someone to help you and still no call backs it sucks. My kids weren't happy. read more

I give the program a 2 only because the ratio to group lesson is small and they provide feedback after each class, however, after over a year the program itself doesn't seem to lend itself to a lot of progression. Signing up my daughter at Aqua-Tots almost 2 years ago was the best decision I made. Before coming to Aqua-Tots, my daughter was very fearful to put her face in the water but now she is swimming like a dolphin. The instructors are great with the kids and very patient. They always encourage and praise the kids in the class when they do something right while gently helping them along when they are struggling with a certain concept. Our two daughters look forward to every Tuesday and Thursday that they get to spend swimming with coach Dillon! He is awesome!!! He is always so patient and genuinely excited to teach us to swim. I can't believe the review below. My son has been going to this location for over a year. He is non verbal and has major cognitive and developmental delays. His swim instructor has made him feel so special and he looks forward to his lesson each week. She and the other staff members cheer my son on through major swim accomplishments and try to include him with typical peers any chance they can. My son has participated in the Aquatots swim school on Greenfield Rd. since he was 4 yrs old. Prior to Aquatots we spent multiple summers trying to teach him to swim through valley parks and rec lessons. The classes were a nightmare. In just one level of lessons at Aquatots he was doing all the basic strokes and able to practice water safety. NOT only did this place charge us more than DOUBLE another place. They also said their instructors were 'SNAP' certified.....Special Needs Assistance Program (I think). Anyways, they undid any kind of progress we had on my son with cerebral palsy and autsim -- they charged us an arm and a leg. I wish I could give Aqua-Tots more than five stars numerous times! I cannot begin to tell you how amazing this place is. My kids absolutely love going and enjoy learning to swim and getting better at it. We started with Aqua-Tots with our oldest kid already decently knowing how to swim and then having three younger kids not knowing how to swim at. Now, the older one has become a master swimmer while the next two are swimming and getting so much better at it and our baby we can already see him being safe in the water even at the age of 18 months! This makes my wife and I so happy and gives us a security that can't be valued! Their atmosphere is so great for parents and kids and the people that work at Aqua-Tots are honestly some of the best individuals! Their customer service and their attitudes and presence almost makes you say, "is this real are you real?". The owners of the brand are some of the most amazing people I've ever met in this entire world. You may think that this review is too good to be true but if you've ever been to Aqua-Tots and met any of the staff or the owners you know exactly what I'm talking about!
