It's discouraging to see so many positive reviews when new customers are unable to register at all. If you collect contact information and even credit card details but have no functional way to complete registration, it undermines trust and credibility. A business that cannot prioritize basic customer service and onboarding--especially when parents are trying to ensure safety and instruction for their children--misses the mark entirely. Both of our boys are on the spectrum, and while my younger son was having some difficulty focusing in the water (which is to be expected given how much he loves it), the instructor's reaction was completely inappropriate. During the last session, the instructor was visibly upset--rolling his eyes and even looking up at the ceiling in frustration. No parent should ever have to witness that kind of behavior directed at their child, especially a child on the spectrum who needs patience and support. To make matters worse, when we called to cancel and withdraw our kids from the program, the staff member we spoke with didn't even ask why we were leaving or show any concern at all. That lack of care and understanding was just as disappointing as what we saw during lessons. Parents of children with autism, please think twice before enrolling your kids here. We all want an environment that offers patience, care, and encouragement, and unfortunately EVO did not provide that for our family. We will not be returning.

In the two months that I had my daughter in this class, she has become much more comfortable and confident in the water. A huge shoutout to coach Steven! He was absolutely wonderful with each of the babies in class. Every session, he took the time to give individual attention and support to each baby, customizing the experience for their age and skill level. He had a great amount of knowledge about exactly how to modify activities to accommodate both younger and older babies. Steven made this such a fun and educational experience for everyone involved!

Her speed and technique are improving in every stroke with every lesson, and we're seeing the results in her times at meets. She evaluates at each lesson, then focuses on what she sees as an area for improvement which can improve time and/or efficiency. She's also very good about making recommendations for cardio and resistance training exercises, and which muscle groups on which to focus effort, in order to directly benefit swimming, and which local swim teams could be a good fit for further improvement. If your child/pre-teen/teen, or you as a competitive adult in Ironman or other training, want a top-class, no-nonsense instructor with the experience and active involvement in the sports, you need look no further. She will be straight forward with your swimmer on what they need to do to improve, but doesn't push it past the point of being "over the top" like some of the instructors we tried tend to do. She knows how to be tough, and nice about it. She's inspirational rather than threatening. We did try the rest, and have been very fortunate to find Nancy.

The facility is clean and the goldfish theme is cute, they even have a fish tank that my kids like to see. The lil table with books and crayons is a nice touch. There are good amenities - lots of changing rooms, a changing table, hair dryers and dryers for your swimsuits. I've never had issues with rescheduling classes if needed. Just keep in mind if you decide to stop with lessons but you still have a class or two to reschedule, they won't allow it. You must still be active. There is also a sibling discount if you have more than one child taking lessons here.

Facility is very clean and obviously kid friendly. The reception area is nice with some other fun activities for kids to get into while their sibling or other family member is taking a swim class. 2. The instructors we've had so far for my 7 month old's class have been quite impressive and really know how to handle babies and how to make the class fun but also progress in their pool safety training. My son really enjoys his class with his Coach Ethan. That kid definitely knows how to make a class fun and inviting for toddlers. 3. Classes are very intimate as they don't go over 3 kids per class. My son has had mostly private classes lately as other kids have not really joined his time slot, which is wonderful in my opinion so he gets that 1x1 coaching. 4. I've been a member at Mountainside Fitness in Gilbert for about a year and a half, and…read moreunfortunately my last experience was disappointing enough that I canceled my membership. One morning I was taking my 2-year-old to the Kid Zone when he urgently needed to use the restroom. We were clearly in a rush, but the front desk employee stopped me and insisted I scan a QR code before letting us pass. The interaction felt unnecessarily strict and passive-aggressive. If I didn't have a membership, I wouldn't even be able to use the Kid Zone, so the situation could have been handled with a little more understanding given that I was trying to help my child get to the restroom. What made the experience worse was the tone. It felt like a scene was made in front of my child over something that could have been handled calmly and quickly. For a gym that charges close to $50 a month, I would expect a higher level of customer service and basic courtesy. I spoke with someone at the register afterward and was told the manager would be informed, but it has been over two weeks and I haven't received any follow-up or apology. Between that experience and the already high membership price (especially considering the sauna often smells unpleasant), I decided to cancel my membership. I'm very disappointed and will be going to a different gym moving forward. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this location based on my experience.
