They were accommodating when I needed to switch times the first week and again when I switched back to our original instructor. It's a nice setup and very efficient with dropping off my daughter, walking back and sitting behind the glass to watch her for 30 mins. She has liked it a little more each week and I appreciate their system and communication. Would recommend!

They waterboarded (held under water) my daughter until she was in tears and refused to go back in the water. We were watching in disbelief. I was a lifeguard and swim instructor as a kid too and never saw anything like this in my 40+ years. Owner wouldn't refund my month either and this was the first class. Just an awful experience.

We tried multiple times to register for swim lessons and had an incredibly frustrating experience…read more After calling three times, I finally spoke with the director, John, who admitted the pre-registration links on their newly redesigned website are broken and that this was a known issue. Unfortunately, the staff I spoke with prior to John were dismissive and unhelpful, simply directing me back to a website that doesn't work. It's discouraging to see so many positive reviews when new customers are unable to register at all. If you collect contact information and even credit card details but have no functional way to complete registration, it undermines trust and credibility. A business that cannot prioritize basic customer service and onboarding--especially when parents are trying to ensure safety and instruction for their children--misses the mark entirely. Very disappointing

We enrolled our boys at EVO after seeing the many positive reviews, but unfortunately our…read moreexperience has been very disappointing. Both of our boys are on the spectrum, and while my younger son was having some difficulty focusing in the water (which is to be expected given how much he loves it), the instructor's reaction was completely inappropriate. During the last session, the instructor was visibly upset--rolling his eyes and even looking up at the ceiling in frustration. No parent should ever have to witness that kind of behavior directed at their child, especially a child on the spectrum who needs patience and support. To make matters worse, when we called to cancel and withdraw our kids from the program, the staff member we spoke with didn't even ask why we were leaving or show any concern at all. That lack of care and understanding was just as disappointing as what we saw during lessons. Parents of children with autism, please think twice before enrolling your kids here. We all want an environment that offers patience, care, and encouragement, and unfortunately EVO did not provide that for our family. We will not be returning.

When we got to our first lesson at Aqua Tots, we knew we made the right choice. At only a couple dollars more per lesson, this place seemed like a 5 star luxury resort in comparison. The staff is so friendly. There is a large changing area with separate bathrooms, there are blow dryers available, and also a swim suit drying machine!! The swim suit dryer was very impressive!! They have a very comfortable sitting area for family to sit and watch their child in class without having to sit in a stuffy, hot / humid pool room... Instead, parents can kick back in a comfortable chair in the air conditioning. As a bonus- They offer complimentary water and snacks for the students & parents. We love Aqua Tots! I highly recommend to anyone!

They informed me at the time I had 10 "makeup classes" in my account that were already paid for. They told me I had until October of this year to use those up. I called to get my daughter scheduled and they told me I could not use them unless I was actively enrolled in a current membership. I told them I just quit my job to be home with my kids and cannot currently afford to enroll but I wanted to use my classes I paid for and that I was promised. I told them what I was told and they girl on the phone told me she would speak with her manager and call back but she insisted I could not use them. That was a few months ago and I never received a call. Such a rip off. My daughter is really struggling with water and if something was to happen to her because they just want my money, they're getting sued.

I just think she needs to work on confidence since she still doesn't like to swim in the deep end of our pool. The facility is clean and the goldfish theme is cute, they even have a fish tank that my kids like to see. The lil table with books and crayons is a nice touch. There are good amenities - lots of changing rooms, a changing table, hair dryers and dryers for your swimsuits. I've never had issues with rescheduling classes if needed. Just keep in mind if you decide to stop with lessons but you still have a class or two to reschedule, they won't allow it. You must still be active. We started swim lessons this week and a sweet man named Jake was her instructor... well she didn't like that and screamed and freaked out ( sorry Mr Jake) so another instructor had to come over and help. Also they have temperature controlled pool and the accommodations in the bathroom are great (shampoo, conditioner, etc). Made it easier to get her cleaned up before she goes home. We will get our younger daughter signed up soon! Thanks again!

Sooo, we really liked coming here for about a month. We had coach Cory Saturday at 10am and we…read moreloved him. He was attentive and took the necessary time to explain, and even had comments at the end for each individual swimmer. My son looked forward to coach Cory. One Saturday they switched over to coach Katie (I believe, I can't see a history) and she had someone with her to train maybe? They sped through everything in about 10 minutes....these classes are $25. There was no comments at the end, nothing. On top of everything these two girls talked and messed around the entire time. I tried again the following Saturday and it was the same girls. This time they had fake babies they had found and apparently named. They were throwing them at each-other and just playing with these babies the whole time and again speeding through everything while taking care of a fake baby. It was all very unprofessional and childish and awkward. This is a job, not a hang out sesh with your bestie. I ended up canceling because even my son did not like coach Katie.

Having only been to one of the Mesa community pools-slash-aquatic centers, I can't really judge…read morethis against anything else. So I can only relate my experience here and let it stand for itself. This is a former junior high, turned into a recreation complex. The pool itself is really three pools--one is the kiddie section with a sloped beach entrance and a tower with buckets that fill up and dump out water sporadically. There's a small slide for the wee ones, in the shape of a frog. The kidlets slide down the frog's tongue and giggle and squeal. Then at the other end is the diving area. Two lower diving boards and a high dive. Not so high, but high enough that every so often a kid will get up there and wuss out. I've done it once as a 10-year-old, so no judgments from me. The other pool is the landing area for the waterslides. Two small ones--big enough that there are height restrictions, but not like a waterpark kind of slide. Just enough that the younguns will have something to break up the simple pool bobbing. There are a few lap swim lanes, and there are bleachers on the north side with shade, so I'm guessing there are probably swim meets here? Then you've got one big pavilion with cement and a large umbrella with grass. Pull your chairs in and hunker down. There's also a small area with tables for your snack needs. The facility is nice. The pool is nice. The bathrooms/changing rooms area little nappy--but that's their design. Concrete floor and a trough of dribbles and drips under the urinals. Other than that, the lobby serves its purpose and is indeed air conditioned.

StretchLab is a place dedicated to moving you into positions that you may have never reached before. 25 or 50 minutes of oh so wonderful short term discomfort for long term relief and benefit! In my training for a 50k, my training partner and I were looking for any way to rehab and recover from long runs and workouts. Nearing our 40s, our bodies don't bounce back like they once did. We both went to StretchLab on a few different occasions to focus heavily on all parts of our legs, but also emphasis on thoracic rotation and upper body mobility as well. Big shout out my trainer/stretcher Alex, who was always a pleasure to talk to. He really knows his stuff, and I felt very comfortable working with him. He would ask informed questions about my training, and was able to help pinpoint areas that I needed some extra work to really maintain full range of motion. I am happy to report: no injuries during my big run, and I felt like I can chalk that up to the entire training regimen, including the importance of rest and rehab - stretching being an integral part. Training for an athletic event? Or just want to be able to function properly without the fear of pulling a muscle? Or, if you just want to feel more effective in everything you do, consider StretchLab as part of your routine.
