When we got to our first lesson at Aqua Tots, we knew we made the right choice. At only a couple dollars more per lesson, this place seemed like a 5 star luxury resort in comparison. The staff is so friendly. There is a large changing area with separate bathrooms, there are blow dryers available, and also a swim suit drying machine!! The swim suit dryer was very impressive!! They have a very comfortable sitting area for family to sit and watch their child in class without having to sit in a stuffy, hot / humid pool room... Instead, parents can kick back in a comfortable chair in the air conditioning. As a bonus- They offer complimentary water and snacks for the students & parents. We love Aqua Tots! I highly recommend to anyone!

They informed me at the time I had 10 "makeup classes" in my account that were already paid for. They told me I had until October of this year to use those up. I called to get my daughter scheduled and they told me I could not use them unless I was actively enrolled in a current membership. I told them I just quit my job to be home with my kids and cannot currently afford to enroll but I wanted to use my classes I paid for and that I was promised. I told them what I was told and they girl on the phone told me she would speak with her manager and call back but she insisted I could not use them. That was a few months ago and I never received a call. Such a rip off. My daughter is really struggling with water and if something was to happen to her because they just want my money, they're getting sued.

We also had lifeguard Laura, and she was AMAZING! I also used to be a lifeguard (now a mom that wanted to enjoy interacting with other parents and not have to watch the pool like a hawk). I was totally comfortable with Laura - she was able to expertly manage our mix of young swimmers and non-swimmers, and parents. It was clear that safety was a priority, and she kept a watchful eye on the swimmers, enforced rules when appropriate to keep everyone safe, but also made sure everyone was having a great time! I'd have her back in a heartbeat. Many parents were super appreciative (and impressed) that we had a lifeguard for the party. Honestly everyone should do it!

Facility is very clean and obviously kid friendly. The reception area is nice with some other fun activities for kids to get into while their sibling or other family member is taking a swim class. 2. Instructors are pretty decent. The instructors we've had so far for my 7 month old's class have been quite impressive and really know how to handle babies and how to make the class fun but also progress in their pool safety training. My son really enjoys his class with his Coach Ethan. That kid definitely knows how to make a class fun and inviting for toddlers. 3. Classes are very intimate as they don't go over 3 kids per class. My son has had mostly private classes lately as other kids have not really joined his time slot, which is wonderful in my opinion so he gets that 1x1 coaching. 4. The ease of scheduling via their app and their text messaging system. Very responsive!

She can now swim in the deep end, swim all the way to the bottom to retrieve sinking toys, swim back up to the surface, and make her way over to the ledge. She's still learning, of course, but she has a really good foundation of swimming skills now, and I feel SO much more confident in her being around the water. What I really love is that Hailey actually looks forward to her swim classes. The class sizes are small, and the instructors do a great job of communicating with me about her progress--what she's accomplished, what skills she's working on, and what she still needs to learn. I never feel like I'm left wondering how she's doing. And honestly, the entire staff is just so friendly. Every time we walk in, someone is saying hi and smiling, and there's always such a positive atmosphere. Even the manager is out in the lobby playing games with the kids while they wait. He definitely doesn't have to do that, but he does it anyway because he's just a cool dude. Little things like that really stand out to me and make Big Blue feel like a place where the staff genuinely enjoys being around the kids. We've had nothing but good experiences here. Between the small classes, great communication, friendly staff, and how much Hailey has grown as a swimmer, I really can't recommend Big Blue enough. Sooo, we really liked coming here for about a month. We had coach Cory Saturday at 10am and we…read moreloved him. He was attentive and took the necessary time to explain, and even had comments at the end for each individual swimmer. My son looked forward to coach Cory. One Saturday they switched over to coach Katie (I believe, I can't see a history) and she had someone with her to train maybe? They sped through everything in about 10 minutes....these classes are $25. There was no comments at the end, nothing. On top of everything these two girls talked and messed around the entire time. I tried again the following Saturday and it was the same girls. This time they had fake babies they had found and apparently named. They were throwing them at each-other and just playing with these babies the whole time and again speeding through everything while taking care of a fake baby. It was all very unprofessional and childish and awkward. This is a job, not a hang out sesh with your bestie. I ended up canceling because even my son did not like coach Katie.

My two main things were the class was being taught by what seemed a teenager. I'm already a nervous mom about putting my child in swimming lessons and then there's a teen teaching the class. I didn't treat her any different as I would a well experienced instructor so when I had questions I'd ask but wouldn't be able to answer some and seemed nervous. Secondly, their bathrooms are by no means clean or accommodating for babies. You'd think they would provide more supplies for babies. Their changing tables were the hard wall plastic ones you typically see in stores, however they were very dirty didn't even provide liners for the table. I had no option but to place my 5 month old on this har and dirty table. And there was nowhere to hang or place my diaper bag. Why is the only option I have to place it on the ground where there is potentially child urine everywhere? Let me not even begin to talk about the pool water..... Not coming back here again. Not even their 3 months free deal is worth it.....

SAC is a fantastic club with top-tier coaches! The only reason our kids are not still swimming with…read moreSAC is because we moved out of the country. I'm confused by Peter's review because the coach he is referring to repeatedly reminded parents in weekly emails that "Parents do NOT sit near any practice that is happening on deck. We have a lot of moving parts on deck, you need to stay in your designated area." This is for safety and also so your kids can focus on the coach, and not rely on parent side coaching. Depending on the pool, this designated area was a set of bleachers far across the pool, or seating on a raised deck area. This literally left no opportunity for the coach to sit down and gossip with parents. Conversely, she was also in the water very often with the kids which absolutely leaves no room for side conversations with parents. Our kids received stellar coaching through the 10U, 11-12, and 13-14 divisions. We experienced many different coaches between the two kids during those years and each one brought professionalism, experience, and fun to each practice. SAC coaches care about the kids' mental health, friendships, and love of sport - not just their times in the water. At each level, the kids advance through lessons not only in technique and speed, but also the why and how of swimming and racing. They learn how to plan for each race and keep their own data, how to take responsibility for their swimming, rest, hydration, nutrition, etc. The saddest part of moving 2,200 miles away was leaving our SAC family. If you're looking for a swim club in the area, you will not find one better than the Scottsdale Aquatic Club!
