I informed the person at the front desk as I checked in. The instructor Mel introduced herself and provided me a brief tour of the reformer machine. Through out the class she helped me with spring changes for the reformer. The one issue I came across was with the studio mirrors. They have individual mirrors instead of full wall mirrors and if you sit at the end you may have trouble viewing yourself to check your posture. I would recommend sitting the middle.

I was able to work briefly with Shad! He didn't have a client at the time and he was able to show me a few shoulder workouts! That is what you call love for the job because most trainers would have been focused on booking you but he just wanted to help me get my shoulder workout done right! One morning I was taking my 2-year-old to the Kid Zone when he urgently needed to use the restroom. We were clearly in a rush, but the front desk employee stopped me and insisted I scan a QR code before letting us pass. The interaction felt unnecessarily strict and passive-aggressive. If I didn't have a membership, I wouldn't even be able to use the Kid Zone, so the situation could have been handled with a little more understanding given that I was trying to help my child get to the restroom. What made the experience worse was the tone. It felt like a scene was made in front of my child over something that could have been handled calmly and quickly. For a gym that charges close to $50 a month, I would expect a higher level of customer service and basic courtesy. I spoke with someone at the register afterward and was told the manager would be informed, but it has been over two weeks and I haven't received any follow-up or apology. Between that experience and the already high membership price (especially considering the sauna often smells unpleasant), I decided to cancel my membership. I'm very disappointed and will be going to a different gym moving forward. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this location based on my experience.

This may be the perfect dance studio for many students. It was not for my student…read more One of mine is a competitive level dancer with many years experience. He began classes in July when most of the students hadn't started yet. It was wonderful then. He got lots of individualized attention and the teachers were knowledgeable and knew lots of methods that he hadn't encountered before. Once the students returned when school started, everything changed. Focus and structure were gone from the classes. He was unable to try out for the competitive teams being new to the area, but the recreational classes were not able to accommodate his experience. Rules were not enforced. Kids were disruptive. They wore inappropriate clothing both for age and function. Things like bikinis or full length school skirts. And even though the school has a wonderful male instructor and other male students, many kids told my son that he couldn't dance because he was a boy. He felt unwelcome and didn't get the camaraderie and instruction he was used to at his former studio. There is so much potential in this studio, but the lack of discipline and cooperation among students made it a bad fit for my dancer.

Prior to this, I went to a 'regular' gym with machines and weights. Burn is a combination of strength and high intensity interval training. However, they do not use machines; there are plenty of equipment such as free weights, bands, battle ropes, med balls, and more to help target every muscle group. Each camp is 45 minutes long and very challenging. I always leave sweaty and feeling good. Some days it takes me a while to get my heart rate down. There are several camp times offered throughout the day, Monday to Friday and three morning camp times on Saturdays. They are closed on Sundays. Burn Gilbert East has an amazing team. They are all friendly and supportive. I transferred to this gym over the summer and they made the transition very smooth. They welcomed me with open arms and treated me like I had been a member since day one. They learned my name quickly and greet me with a high five everytime I walk in. The trainers are very knowledgeable and will give you the right push to reach your potential. They will also make modifications if you have an injury but still want to participate. Focus meetings are included in the packages. The trainers will provide you a nutritional plan that's doable to help you achieve your goals. As a member, you also get free childcare and access to the private Facebook community group. There's always a fun challenge as well as specials throughout the year. I got started with Burn through one of their specials, a four-week trial for $99. I've been hooked ever since! I'm thankful for Burn Boot Camp Gilbert East today and everyday!
