Long story short... this gym charged me 2.5 months while the gyms were closed for the pandemic. While traveling for the past 9 months I tried to cancel my membership and was unable to due to proper documentation. I live out of Airbnb's and hotels with no place of permanent residence. I was promised a hold for 3 months which would put me to September 2020 and to be credited the charges to my account for the months of October and November 2020. (My 12 month membership ended September 2020). I just reached out to the gym to cancel and get an update and I am told that my account has been canceled and that I was put into collections this past October 2020. Mind boggling! ?? While asking to speak with upper management, Vince says that he is and there is no one else I can speak with. ... unless he is the owner?? this is just a lie. I'm now in contact with Kingston the collection agency as well. How I owe over $200 is just pure ridiculous- as the company owes me reimbursement/credits. I'd like for this to be taken care of. Great gym, great equipment, great staff…read more Been a member for 4 years or so. Lots of equipment which is overall well maintained. Entire facility is very clean. Lots of options for every type of workout. The price is the best i could find for any gym in this part of town and you get quite a bit of bang for that buck. Multiple rows of cardio machines, tons of free weights, and every machine you could want. Love the theater. Special shout out to the front desk crew (especially Avounay) - they make dragging myself to the gym in the morning tolerable and never miss a friendly hi/bye.

I walked into the gym, eager to spend a Friday evening bettering myself mentally and physically. As I always do, I wore my clogs/slides upon entering the gym. As I walked past the counter, my name was yelled for everyone to hear. The staff member at the front desk, maybe it was Joe or something along those lines, had gotten my attention as well as everyone else in the gym. He then rudely instructed me to change footwear in front of my workout partner. A typical evening weight session had turned into an event of public humiliation. The level of unprofessionalism that I was met with was that of which I've never experienced before. The gym is supposed to be a safe place for those wanting to make a change in their life. I wanted to share my experience so others won't have to go through the embarrassment that I have. What if I had just planned on going to use the pool? Wouldn't want to have to change shoes just to take them off at the pool. Seems like someone needs a lesson in customer relations and professionalism. P.S. There were others wearing slides in the gym at that time. I have also never had a problem wearing my slides at any EōS Fitness location.

I've found multiple roaches near the stretching pads and was told they sprayed for pesticides. Not sure if that was inside but what are the lovely health benefits of rolling around in pesticides, dust bunnies and sweat! The problem might be the front desk staff trying to hit on people just trying to workout while one 60+ year old janitor is on shift busting their back (all the respect in the world for these ladies btw). The sauna is not very clean with sweaty paper towels stuffed in the corners. The bathroom drain is always backed up and a plumbing company is there almost monthly to snake them. Second issue, staff. Machines are constantly broken and take months to repair. Not all but a few workers will get a nice little lift in while clocked in, leaving weights behind and front desk unattended letting the floodgates of high schoolers in for social hour. I'm willing to guess a majority of them don't have memberships. Third, the environment. The shift from going to the gym for a workout has shifted to chasing tail and creepy games of eye tag with grown men hunting girls down, like a lion on the Serengeti. What goes from a simple hello turns into a 30 min conversation blocking the only machine that this place has. I've tried showing up at a different times to avoid all of these issues and seem to get faced by all them at once every time. I just want to end this with, I've never written a review before but just seeing LA Fitness falling apart is not a pretty sight. Closing nicer facilities around the valley that offered better amenities such as steam rooms, towels, a clean pool and spa has not been a smart move. Keep up the outstanding work fellas!!!

I was looking for the nearest pool and they took the time out of their day to find the closest pool and hours! I think every club needs to have a good set of personal trainers! I was able to work briefly with Shad! He didn't have a client at the time and he was able to show me a few shoulder workouts! That is what you call love for the job because most trainers would have been focused on booking you but he just wanted to help me get my shoulder workout done right! We…read morehad a slight issue but because of Shad Andreas (the new personal training manager) top-notch customer service skills, fast thinking and his constant communication with me, he came through with flying colors and I was totally satisfied and happy with the outcome. Shad worked hard to make things right and it showed, very much appreciated. What a fantastic decision to transfer him to this facility in Gilbert to "fix" things, he definitely is in the right spot and will go far. During my dealings with Shad last week, I dealt with numerous others that definitely deserve recognition for their patience, helpfulness and just being kind over the phone. Chase was the one answering the phone and wanting to help, good listener and never just transferred me to get me off his line, he truly wanted to make sure I got to the right person. Andrew, the assistant manager is also in the right position, he truly is there to serve MountainSide's customers. Last but not least is Chandler the manager, talk about making things happen for the good of the customers and the follow up is amazing, something you don't find anymore.
