Still such an awesome place. Karin is a great teacher and person. I come here just for her. And the coffee and donuts ;)

I meant to write this review years ago. This studio was a phenomenal place to learn the building blocks of yoga. The owner, Karen, is such a great teacher. Tina is my other favorite instructor, she was wonderfully hands on. I will forever be grateful for the time I spent at blue Buddha because the instructors actually took the time to walk around and correct form, which made my yoga practice so much stronger. I moved further away from this studio so I can't go anymore, but I miss it every day. Thank you, Karen and Tina for making me the Yogi I am today! The studio does get very hot when class is full, so DO NOT forget water and a towel. The coffee shop is just an additional bonus with great coffee, and the atmosphere of this studio is the best.

Very affordable coffee shop in Scottsdale that makes aesthetic drinks! This place was one of the few places that were open in the New Year so we decided to get our coffee fix to bring me back to life after the New Years festival. (This place also is a yoga studio). I got the 16 oz caramel macchiato with whole milk (regular option) and cold foam x flowers for that beautiful drink aesthetic. All of this total was $4.50+tax. The coffee itself is on the sweeter side, but it is very flavorful to the very last drop even when the ice melted. The cold foam is very creamy and the flowers are edible flowers that is very fragrant and somewhat doubles up as a tea flower. Bonus points is that people were very friendly. There was a man outside that greeted us as we walked in, which we later found out he also worked there, and the cashier/barista was also very friendly and eager to serve us. I wish there was an option to give this place a 6 stars!

Needed a quick pick me up on Saturday afternoon and since I was close to the area, I decided to finally stop in. They were to close at 4pm and we stopped by around 3:15pm. The parking lot is pretty big with plenty of spots. We walked in and we were quickly greeted and welcomed. There were two employees working and I think one of them was being trained. The lady who helped us was very friendly. I ordered a small iced cupcake latte with soymilk and my sister had a small iced crème brulee latte. We didn't wait too long and the employee dropped the drinks off at our table when they were ready. The drinks were really good and I could really taste the cupcake flavoring in the drink. My sisters drink was the best and I will definitely order it when I stop by again. The inside is super cute and cozy and we felt welcomed as customers. They offer Yoga classes as well which is really cool! Super cute shop and yoga studio and I will be back again when in the area.

Coffee and yoga are just the perfect match. Signed up for a class here as a little belated Mother's Day present to myself and am so happy I got to go! I signed up for hot blue hatha with Yumi. I felt welcome there and this is one of the few "all levels" yoga that actually felt appropriate for all levels. I had a baby almost 7 weeks ago and just started really working out again so I was a little nervous but there were modifications for things I didn't feel ready to try yet! Love the coffee shop, plenty of seating and nice staff. I got a honey oat milk iced latte and it was absolutely delicious! I live pretty far so it wouldn't work for me to come here regularly, but next time my sister is in town I will for sure be bringing her to a class!

What a pleasant surprise! My go to coffee shop had a ridiculous line wrapped around the building. I was on my way to work, so I didn't have time to wait. While driving down Scottsdale Rd, I saw Blue Buddha and decided to make a pit stop. When I walked in, I was met with eclectic decor and positive artwork on the walls . I decided to grab a honey lavender latte, and it was FANTASTIC. The barista who made my drink was friendly & we had a nice little convo before I left. I will definitely be back to check out some more of their specialty drinks!

Love this place. I have come here everyday to try a new coffee and not one has disappointed! Everyone who works here is super nice as well, always a pleasure to be here.

What a find! We were in town for some Spring Training games and as luck would have it, our rental was down the street from Blue Buddha. We stopped in for coffee and got hooked on the caffeine and yoga; we ended up taking four classes over the course of the week we were in Tempe...and caffeinated there just as often. Roy and Karin, the owners, along with all of the baristas and yogis (like Diana), were exceptionally nice and welcoming. This was truly a no-judgment zone. We wish we lived closer...it would be our go-to place! Thanks again, Blue Buddha crew!

So so happy Karin decided to open a new studio and that it has a coffee bar as well what more could a person want!! $11 drop ins which is incredibly affordable. This place just has the most amazing energy and great students and teachers. Can't wait to try some of the other classes and more of the coffee menu :)

So, yesterday while driving down Scottsdale road I saw the words "coffee" so you know me, I instantly looked up the business. And well, here I am today... I'm so glad I found this little gem. Blue Buddha Collective is a yoga studio (with great drop-in and first timer prices by the way) and a coffee shop. Super sweet people, truly. One asked asked if I was here for yoga because I was dressed like it, I told her I dress like this every day. Such an adorable shop, and you don't have to do yoga to come get coffee and chill. They have a good amount of seating indoors and wifi, plus chairs outside, upfront in the shade (currently sitting outside and it's lovely). I got a lavender latte with vanilla cold foam and edible flowers (Spring latte). It really is cool spot, cozy and inviting.

I have never found a more welcoming yoga community than here at Blue Buddha. I went to one of Karin's hot yoga classes for the first time in January and I have been hooked on coming back ever since. All of the instructors are so friendly and welcoming and I leave every class feeling refreshed and in a better state than when I showed up. I have been going back every week ever since and I have loved every moment of my time here. If you are looking for a place to practice with a great sense of community and friendly instructors then Blue Buddha is the place to be!

IF TM is a valid practice, the "Director" Pratima, of the Scottsdale location provided extremely poor representation of this company. She claims to be a practitioner of sorts, yet demonstrated lack of professionalism and cultural sensitivity toward my own culture and beliefs. She also minimized my loss-related grief and felt entitled to call me "selfish" for verbally expressing my current emotional pain. TM is supposedly a meditation practice that has been "proven" to help destress, yet it seemed to have impaired her dealings with me. I call that HYPOCRACY. She was impatient and belittling toward me in front of a peer. She made provisions for my peer and allowed her to "make-up" a class via Zoom when she was absent. Pratima obligated me to come in-person for the class and I was not allowed the same courtesy although I had advised her that I was in incredible emotional and physical pain. I call that FAVORITISM. I was also obligated to view videos of the founder "Maharishi Mahesh Yogi." With the limited information I received about this individual, my perception quickly became that he was their religious leader. When I expressed any difference of opinion from hers, I was met with aggressive communication and was insulted. I was asked to shell out a significant amount of money to learn "the basics." They provided minimal information, pretty, colorful Power Point Presentations full of hearsay. When I asked to learn more scientific information the Director advised me their famous "advanced techniques" would be an additional cost (of course). They did not advise me of this upfront. After FOUR sessions, I felt I had been swept into some kind of money scheme. When requesting a refund (after FOUR SESSIONS), Pratima advised me that I did "not qualify" for one. I believe that such "practitioners" should practice what they preach. I don't feel this individual did, based on her horrible treatment of me. Never again. Learned my lesson. I don't recommend at all. RUN.

Yea, I'm excited I have another FTR but pretty stoked it's for this 3rd Black Swan Yoga studio…read morethat's going to officially open on Sun, 9/21! I belong to BSY and have been going to the Midtown and Paradise Valley locations for the last year. A lot of the reason as to why I belong to BSY is because of Kjoy Lipson. I have never met a yoga instructor like her in the 2+ decades I have practiced yoga. She is the true embodiment of what yoga is all about. Take one of her classes and you'll know what I mean. I have been kicking the can down the road for awhile regarding yoga teacher training and have toyed with the idea for that last 10 years, on and off again about truly signing up for a class. But, with Kjoy, the calling came and so this past weekend, I have started my YTT journey with her and 11 other beautiful swans. Our Saturday class was here at the Old Town Scottsdale location and this is probably my favorite studio. All the BSY studios have a similar feel with painted black walls, the swan logo, and this one has a mural with two snakes on it and it's just badass gorgeous and a beautiful studio. There are mirrors here and very important in yoga to check alignment and the floors are grippy and cushion, perfect for the studio and easy to clean with a mop. Three bathrooms here, lots of cubby holes to store shoes and belongs and a nice bench too to sit on or for belongings. There are soft opening events this week on Wed and Thu evenings and definitely come to the grand opening on Sun, 9/21, it's gonna be great with food, giveaways, special studio deals, yoga community and classes! Definitely come check out this studio and come practice! Yoga changed my life, and it might just change yours too. And, it's in a great convenient location too!

I have a few friends that are teachers (or becoming teachers), connected to the studio and tell me all the time I should come, but I have other places where I regularly practice so it just didn't happen. But the universe conspired to bring me to this event where I was able to take a free community class with my friends for the grand opening of their Scottsdale yoga studio. The teachers and vibe here are top level and I appreciate their passion for this practice. Black Swan Yoga started in Texas and has locations in Arizona and Colorado and appears to have what I feel is an amazing vibe-- it's a "let your freak flag fly" mentality and I fully appreciate that. All are welcome and that's awesome. I think I'll all be practicing more often here and it's close by to where I do workouts at Orangetheory few doors down. This is a great shopping center with bad Jimmy's, Orange theory, Merci Café, hand and Stone massage, Cosmoprof, and they're putting in a Whole Foods here. t The main thing that may end up being a detrimental factor at some point is the busyness of the parking lot once Whole Foods is built out, but for now it's fine. It's doable and I'm excited to have this studio so close to my place. Namasté y'all

I really needed it. Was having a rough day today. I've had a good amount of experience with sound healing from experiences at festivals and yoga studios in California but it's been a long time since I've attended any sessions. The idea is sound healing is an ancient form of healing/ medicine that taps into your parasympathetic nervous system by use of alpha and beta sound waves/ vibrations. You can be new age-y about it or quite practical in your thinking about these types of modalities. I'm a mix, I suppose, but more the latter. What I like about this therapy is how easeful it is. I do a lot of hard workouts and push my body to grow and get strong, so doing things that are the opposite help me to balance out. Here, you just lay down as if you're going to sleep for an hour and let the sounds wash over your body. Some people do fall asleep and other times there's a lot of thinking or processing, imagery, and body sensations. I meditate daily and have been on many silent meditation retreats which is great, but this is different due to the intentional use of sound. I'll definitely be coming back as it's clear to me I would benefit from adding this to my robust self care routine. If you're interested, this is a great place to try it out. Very clean studio with a friendly owner named keri. And after all, who couldn't use some healing these days. Your nervous system will thank you.
