I have driven by this place countless times while heading home and always wondered what kind of place it was (I'd see the colorful lights inside at night and would think it was laser tag or something). I did some research online and found it to be a gym but not just any gym. They specialize in group classes and HIIT workouts to maximize your full potential and push yourself. I took the plunge to get signed up on my birthday and it was the best birthday gift I could give myself. I met with Phil on Friday to do an assessment and for him to get to know my goals. I initially was wanting to do the 6 week trial just to see if I would like it but after meeting him and seeing what a typical class looks like, I wanted to do a longer membership. Since joining, I have gained muscle and have been eating and sleeping a lot better. I have never been more proud of myself. What sets this gym apart from others is that they do monthly assessments to see where you stand with your self goals and where opportunity lies. I was never really motivated to go workout at a regular gym because I wasn't really being held accountable and plus, it wasn't as fun as a Team Afterburn class. Every member here has a fun personality and the community is so awesome. I actually look forward to coming here every day because of that. The circuits that are performed in class really get your heart rate up to burn more calories and build up your endurance. They do 3 days of cardio and 3 days of resistance and trust me, you WILL feel the afterburn. If you want to get in shape as fast as possible, then you need to go to Team Afterburn. Team Afterburn is what I call the "Jenny Craig" of fitness, it is a one stop shop where you can get in all the cardio and resistance needed in a daily 45 min session. Just like Jenny Craig has pre made meals so you don't need to think about what to eat, Afterburn has a fitness plan that is all figured out for you. It is a group personal training environment where the focus is to build your cardio and core strength. They use interval training, weights, body weight exercises and great music to keep you motivated. The trainers are top notch, very personable and motivating. I am certified in personal training and aerobics, and I have found that the team environment and carefully crafted program has been more effective than anything I could have done on my own. Awesome! No other work out gym compares to this one. The trainers are awesome, friendly, and they make the work outs fun. I feel comfortable knowing they are watching the members making sure we are doing the exercises correctly (form and safety). They assist with modifying the workouts to meet your needs.There is a different exercise routine each day to challenge you to meet your goal. So, if you want to be healthy and have that fabulous body, I recommend Team Afterburn where you can see the transformation of your body right before your eyes. I started team afterburn 2 1/2 months ago with a free week trial and I fell in love with team afterburn. All the trainers Andrew, Eric, Anthony, Felissa and Phil are all there to help push you and help you reach your goal. I came to afterburn because of my friends and team afterburn helped me gain weight and become a stronger and faster athlete. With the help of all the trainers they push you to become the best you can be and I love that they are there to help and support you. Team afterburn is a family oriented atmosphere which I like and you have a group of people to help motivate you as you workout. I'm not usually one to write reviews but I feel like I have to tell people how amazing Team Afterburn is!! I just finished my first month and I couldn't be happier... I feel amazing!! The workouts are fantastic - every class is challenging and leaves me feeling accomplished when I finish. Even better than the workouts are the people! The coaches are wonderful and know just how to push and encourage you so you're getting the most out of your workout. I have never felt more welcomed at a gym as I have at Team Afterburn, both the coaches and the people who go there are so friendly!! I love how versatile and different each workout is. The coaches are amazing and they inspire me to keep pushing myself and work hard during every workout. The atmosphere is also great - there is no judgment at all. Everyone is there to workout and do their best and to support each other during the workouts. I had avoided going to the gym and exercising for years but once I tried TAB I was hooked. I had been going for over a year and I had never felt better about myself! Highly recommend TAB!!! TEAM AFTERBURN! Coach PHIL, ANDREW, and ROB ARE ABSOLUTELY the best! When I felt like giving up, when it got hard, they were always there to "pump" me up and get me to continue my journey! The food plan PHIL lays out is very simple, and makes it easy and manageable to lose weight and inches. I gained myself worth back and have realized the when I put myself to it I can do anything. I love the staff and members! Everyone is so helpful and friendly. I go at my own level and I don't feel intimidated like so many other places I've been before. The workouts use heart monitors to make sure I'm performing at my level and not what some hardcore trainer thinks I should be. It's a great combination between cardio and weights and the best part is that hey make sure I'm doing each exercise correctly so I don't hurt myself! I've been on the injured list too many times! Team Afterburn is a legit gym. I saw results within the first couple weeks!! They alternate between resistance days and cardio days. Which means while leaning out you also get to put on some lean muscle. All the coaches are great and knowledgeable. Great music and the gym does not smell like a dirty sock. Team Afterburn is really clean too they sanitize their equipment after each use. Overall I am happy!! I'm seeing my results, I'm feeling great, and the environment is really welcoming. I've been paying a "fat tax" (paying for gym membership that you never use) for years. Kept convincing myself that I was going to get back in shape. I've been workout out at Team Afterburn for 6 months now and I should have signed up sooner! The trainers (Andrew, Eric and Felissa) are awesome, motivational and push you to do your best. Team Afterburn is great!! I've been to so many different gyms and have not seen results like this. All the coaches are caring and knowledgeable. Started here over a year ago. Love it! When I started I lived in Maricopa and got up at 3:50am to make the 5:15am class. I wouldn't waste my time doing this if it wasn't worth it. I love the small group and team atmosphere. I have made some great friends here. I did leave for an bit, to be closer to home. Not the same. So I moved closer to the gym! LOL.
