As a middle-aged woman in menopause on a GLP-1 journey, progress hasn't always come easily, and honestly, many days feel like a struggle. When I first reached out to him, I wasn't consistent with my meal plan and I hadn't followed a structured gym routine in nearly 20 years. From our very first communication, he was extremely professional, supportive, and clear. The plan he put together for me was detailed, well organized, and easy to follow, which immediately gave me confidence that I was in good hands. Throughout our time working together, he has always been thoughtful about my abilities and careful to keep me at a pace that challenges me while still being healthy and sustainable. Along the way, I've also been getting DEXA scans to track my progress with fat loss and lean mass, just to make sure everything is staying within healthy ranges. In the four months we've been working together, my progress has been amazing: I've lost 25 pounds, 24 of those from fat. My lean muscle has increased by almost 2 pounds, and my visceral fat has gone down by 1.5 pounds. We even made it through the holidays with minimal guilt, which felt like a huge win. I genuinely look forward to our private sessions. I laugh about what he thinks I can do on my own, and I get excited to read his comments about my weekly progress. He motivates me in such a positive, encouraging way and constantly reminds me not to be too hard on myself. He never makes me feel like I'm not doing enough, and that kind of support has made all the difference. We…read morehad a slight issue but because of Shad Andreas (the new personal training manager) top-notch customer service skills, fast thinking and his constant communication with me, he came through with flying colors and I was totally satisfied and happy with the outcome. Shad worked hard to make things right and it showed, very much appreciated. What a fantastic decision to transfer him to this facility in Gilbert to "fix" things, he definitely is in the right spot and will go far. During my dealings with Shad last week, I dealt with numerous others that definitely deserve recognition for their patience, helpfulness and just being kind over the phone. Chase was the one answering the phone and wanting to help, good listener and never just transferred me to get me off his line, he truly wanted to make sure I got to the right person. Andrew, the assistant manager is also in the right position, he truly is there to serve MountainSide's customers. Last but not least is Chandler the manager, talk about making things happen for the good of the customers and the follow up is amazing, something you don't find anymore. One morning I was taking my 2-year-old to the Kid Zone when he urgently needed to use the restroom. We were clearly in a rush, but the front desk employee stopped me and insisted I scan a QR code before letting us pass. The interaction felt unnecessarily strict and passive-aggressive. If I didn't have a membership, I wouldn't even be able to use the Kid Zone, so the situation could have been handled with a little more understanding given that I was trying to help my child get to the restroom. What made the experience worse was the tone. It felt like a scene was made in front of my child over something that could have been handled calmly and quickly. For a gym that charges close to $50 a month, I would expect a higher level of customer service and basic courtesy. I spoke with someone at the register afterward and was told the manager would be informed, but it has been over two weeks and I haven't received any follow-up or apology. Between that experience and the already high membership price (especially considering the sauna often smells unpleasant), I decided to cancel my membership. I'm very disappointed and will be going to a different gym moving forward. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this location based on my experience.

I love that you get to try it out before paying and today was the end of my week of free training and I asked to sign up. The classes are great and I feel comfortable even tho I am not up to the same speed as every one in the class. . The gym had the kindest ppl I have EVER met in a gym and even though I go to an easy class I still feel pumped and excited to get in there. I'm excited to see how my fitness goals go! After all, you lose a lot of the water weight first, then the hard weight loss comes after. Before joining, I accepted the fact that being large & overweight was just going to be a way of life. This also took a toll on my self esteem and other aspects of my life. I had no desire to look in the mirror where I had to pre stretch my clothes for them to fit "better". Due to my weight at the time, I had to take medicine to control my acid reflux and blood pressure. Which also includes a few low blood sugar episodes (hypoglycemic) Then came my breaking point... I finally looked at myself in the mirror after years of a poor diet and zero excercise. Disappointed & disgusted in myself for letting me get so badly out of shape. My wife and I decided (after "bugging me" constantly) to start to get back into shape. We wanted to kickstart our weight loss and what better way than a trainer offering the first 4 weeks free (after a few waivers are signed). I can now say after 6 months of hard work, I have lost over 33 pounds, over 58 total inches, lost 3.8% body fat and 19 of those pounds were nothing but fat. I've lost almost 8 inches around my waist, 9 inches around my gut, 6 inches around my chest and hips. I can go on and on. Because of Jennifer, my clothes no longer need to be pre-stretched. no longer do I have to hold my breath to tie my shoes. No longer do I have to hope my button on my pants break loose. No longer do I have the desire to eat bad food. I was starting to wear XXXL shirts to hide my "fat feelings" now I can almost (depending on who makes it) wear a XL shirt. I still have a long way to go in my weight loss. I have made friends here that need the same thing and even though I will still come to My Perfect Body Now Boot Camp for years to come, I will never be able to thank Jennifer enough what what she's given me in just the short amount of time. She's given me my self esteem back, self confidence back, my waist line back . Just to name a few. But the absolutely best part is I no longer have to take any medications for blood pressure or acid reflux.

It's hard to put into words what an incredibly welcoming, positive and supportive environment it is. The workouts are challenging, fun, and do-able for ALL fitness levels. In the beginning I couldn't do all the reps (and sometimes I still can't!), but I've never feel pressured to push myself past my limits. Jennifer provides modifications to some of the more difficult exercises for beginners and she watches your form closely to prevent injuries, which is so very important. And did I mention the location is in a beautiful park setting where you get to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air? I may never exercise indoors again! I honestly can't say enough about Jennifer and her boot camp. Hands down, it was one of the best decisions I've made to improve my life and health. If you're thinking about joining, just do it! The first 4 weeks are free, so you have nothing to lose (besides maybe a few inches or pounds). Just show up each day with an open mind and a positive attitude, give it your best effort, and soon enough you will be amazed at what you can accomplish too!

So for cool points and theatrics, Rumble gets all the stars. However, as an actual gym that pays attention to new comers and individuals this is where I removed a star. This was my first time coming in for a workout and I truly had no idea what to expect, which is fine by me, I like being surprised, however some people may not have liked the experience as a newbie. My friend told me to come meet her, and gave me the heads up to buy hand wraps online to save money. So I did that. When I arrived I checked in. I was told first class I could rent boxing gloves for free. After that it's $5 rental. I asked "how does this work" about the class and workout. I was given a brief explanation and then I requested help with wrapping my new hand wraps. That went fine. Then the teacher called everyone into the back gym area. No greeting or checking in with me that I'm new. We just went to work. Now for me, this was all fine. I workout a lot and I do other group classes elsewhere and have a personal trainer, so I'm very aware how to workout without hurting myself and I pick stuff up pretty easily because I have a foundational base of safely lifting weights and body mechanics. But for someone new to fitness this class would have been a lot to grasp and not injure oneself by doing too much or using poor technique. (Since I was given no instruction). Long story short, Rumble is a cool boxing gym but maybe could use some encouragement to check in with new folks for any questions and give a high level overview, with a brief tutorial on how to safely do the moves (aka punches). I'll definitely go back, as I said it's a good and hard workout. I attended via ClassPass as I do most things, maybe that is why the experience was different? But either way, I've been to other places where they (meaning front desk staff and teachers) are more accommodating to a new person in their gym.
