I felt totally welcome by both them and the regulars. They pushed me enough when I was slacking a little and also helped educate me when I was doing something wrong. It was an open environment that felt ok to be myself, and try things without feeling pressured or embarrassed. I highly recommend this place. Very clean, open, inviting, and lots and lots of classes to work with my schedule. Probably the best gym I've ever been to. I was looking for the nearest pool and they took the time out of their day to find the closest pool and hours! I think every club needs to have a good set of personal trainers! I was able to work briefly with Shad! He didn't have a client at the time and he was able to show me a few shoulder workouts! That is what you call love for the job because most trainers would have been focused on booking you but he just wanted to help me get my shoulder workout done right! We…read morehad a slight issue but because of Shad Andreas (the new personal training manager) top-notch customer service skills, fast thinking and his constant communication with me, he came through with flying colors and I was totally satisfied and happy with the outcome. Shad worked hard to make things right and it showed, very much appreciated. What a fantastic decision to transfer him to this facility in Gilbert to "fix" things, he definitely is in the right spot and will go far. During my dealings with Shad last week, I dealt with numerous others that definitely deserve recognition for their patience, helpfulness and just being kind over the phone. Chase was the one answering the phone and wanting to help, good listener and never just transferred me to get me off his line, he truly wanted to make sure I got to the right person. Andrew, the assistant manager is also in the right position, he truly is there to serve MountainSide's customers. Last but not least is Chandler the manager, talk about making things happen for the good of the customers and the follow up is amazing, something you don't find anymore. I came to this location today and although Mya wasn't able to find the size I was looking for, she was the first employee to actually listen to the issue and attempt calling other locations to help me find the t shirt size I needed. From the moment you walk through the door, you feel welcomed - you sense the positive energy, you see how they interact with each person - with interest and enthusiasm and you know they are excited you chose to be part of the community that makes up their gym! The STAFF: Top Notch...every single one of the coaches are outstanding! They provide the right amount of encouragement and support. Just when you think you can't get 1 more double mountain-climber in, you have a coach who will squat down next to you and encourage you to finish. There are two coaches for every class, this allows more time for the coaches to interact with each member during the work-out. The coaches are there to make sure you have the best workout possible. The STUDIO:  The studio is NEW and CLEAN.  The precautions in place include mandatory towels and cleaning between sets.  Another thing, there are NO mirrors - wow, that is really freeing!  It puts you in a mindset of focusing on yourself and the workout, not how you look doing the workout (the coaches will come by and help you if your form needs it). The WORKOUT: New, Challenging, Constantly Changing, High-Energy, FUN and DONE in 45 mins!!! The workouts can be modified for more intensity or less. There is no judging or competition (unless it's with yourself). You focus on the exercise you're doing and what's coming up next.....then Breath! The MEMBERS: I've mostly been to the late afternoon/early evening classes and after less than 2 weeks, have a sense of camaraderie with the members. There are all fitness levels, ages, sizes and the encouragement and support (from people you've never met) makes you want to come back! The REWARD: That overwhelming feeling of accomplishment knowing that you just kicked ass and made yourself a priority.....and you can't wait to be back tomorrow to do it all again!
