I felt totally welcome by both them and the regulars. They pushed me enough when I was slacking a little and also helped educate me when I was doing something wrong. It was an open environment that felt ok to be myself, and try things without feeling pressured or embarrassed. I highly recommend this place. Very clean, open, inviting, and lots and lots of classes to work with my schedule. Probably the best gym I've ever been to. Next time I vacation in AZ again, I'm going to try to be close to Pitt Fitness.

We…read morehad a slight issue but because of Shad Andreas (the new personal training manager) top-notch customer service skills, fast thinking and his constant communication with me, he came through with flying colors and I was totally satisfied and happy with the outcome. Shad worked hard to make things right and it showed, very much appreciated. What a fantastic decision to transfer him to this facility in Gilbert to "fix" things, he definitely is in the right spot and will go far. During my dealings with Shad last week, I dealt with numerous others that definitely deserve recognition for their patience, helpfulness and just being kind over the phone. Chase was the one answering the phone and wanting to help, good listener and never just transferred me to get me off his line, he truly wanted to make sure I got to the right person. Andrew, the assistant manager is also in the right position, he truly is there to serve MountainSide's customers. Last but not least is Chandler the manager, talk about making things happen for the good of the customers and the follow up is amazing, something you don't find anymore. One morning I was taking my 2-year-old to the Kid Zone when he urgently needed to use the restroom. We were clearly in a rush, but the front desk employee stopped me and insisted I scan a QR code before letting us pass. The interaction felt unnecessarily strict and passive-aggressive. If I didn't have a membership, I wouldn't even be able to use the Kid Zone, so the situation could have been handled with a little more understanding given that I was trying to help my child get to the restroom. What made the experience worse was the tone. It felt like a scene was made in front of my child over something that could have been handled calmly and quickly. For a gym that charges close to $50 a month, I would expect a higher level of customer service and basic courtesy. I spoke with someone at the register afterward and was told the manager would be informed, but it has been over two weeks and I haven't received any follow-up or apology. Between that experience and the already high membership price (especially considering the sauna often smells unpleasant), I decided to cancel my membership. I'm very disappointed and will be going to a different gym moving forward. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this location based on my experience.

They are very helpful and make sure you're doing the exercises correctly. They also change it up all the time so that you're not bored or doing the same thing over and over. It's a good HIIT workout, and I always burn at least 300 calories in the 40 minutes of exercise, which is great by my standards. I would have given this place 5 stars, but then something happened (I thought about 3 stars but thats not fair to the rest of the employees). Toward the end of my 2 week trial, I took a look at my finances and even with the discount, it just wasn't doable. This place is expensive (more than other HIIT gyms Ive been to in the past) and being that I am not rich, I just can't make it work with upcoming bills, car repairs and everything else I have going on. When I called and spoke to Sunny, I explained to her that I unfortunately needed to cancel for now. She asked for any feedback for the program and I told her LOVE the classes, but I just can't afford it. She then said, in an incredibly rude tone, "did you know that before you signed up to take our free classes or did you just figure that out now?" Honestly I was shocked. It was so rude, it really hurt my feelings and it felt like she was accusing me of being a scammer or something. I would hate for anyone else to feel this way should they have to cancel. Also because of this I will not ever return, even if I could afford it. It was unbelievably rude. I shouldn't be made to feel bad for giving something a shot and just not being able to afford it. Guess I should have lied and said I hated it or something.
