Not much has changed at this location since I wrote my review. The men's locker room is still gross and smells, mold growing on shower heads, the sauna is always gross, and the lockers themselves are gross inside. Nobody is cleaning this place. Machines are consistently broken and takes weeks/months to fix, if they are ever fixed. I stopping coming to this location for awhile due to the poor management and lack of attention and I thought I'd give it another try today. Some of the machines that were broken during my last visit here several months ago are STILL broken. Half of the Star Trac elliptical in the back of the cardio area have some sort of issue...either the foot pedals are loose, the Bluetooth doesn't work, or it's off balance. There are only four of these so it's not acceptable when two or three are broken. The elliptical I used this evening had a loose foot pedal and the Bluetooth didn't work, which was the same issue I experienced the last time I was here on the same exact elliptical. There is no quality checking here and it's really upsetting. Other EoS locations seem to have things figured out and every time I complain about this location or respond to a survey I get a response from a different district manager suggesting there's very high turnaround here. If you can't retain employees/management, no wonder this place is in shambles. Every time I express concerns I'm assured something will change and that they take feedback very seriously yet nothing changes, so how am I supposed to feel valued as a black card member? I left a separate review and had somebody reply to send my concern an email been almost 2 weeks and have yet to hear from somebody. I was never told there was an annual fee. I've been charged two months service and now the annual fee I've been to your gym once which is not a great experience. I never went back. I went into your gym to speak with. I guess the GM who looks not more than 21 years old, who was rude he started my membership but didn't finish it so I know he did not go over any annual fee with me. This gym is amazing!! I've always struggled with anxiety when it comes to going to the gym, but the staff have made me feel supported and welcomed here since the day I signed up!! When I walk into the gym, I'm always met by a smile from Kevon and Kate. They always ask me how my day is going and make sure that I have a great workout! Josiah is the reason I even started personal training here in the first place. He always checks in on me, and he's so kind and supportive. I am grateful for him! My personal trainer, Bryscen, is amazing!! He's very patient with me, keeps me motivated, and helps me stay on track. He encourages me get out of my comfort zone, and never judges me for not knowing certain workouts or equipment names. SPECIFICALLY the cable row machine across from the dumbbells. Do not sign up with this company, they will cheat and charge you with false late fees. I have a recurring issue where they tell me my card declines the charge but at the same time i have funds on my card to cover the charge. I have to call in to get them to charge it again every month, i dont know why this is happening and they dont know either. Then all of a sudden this month they told me ive racked up 3 months of $25 late fees all while im still current... i just paid $102 for something that was their fault. Guys, be careful and check your credit card charges each month. I found out I was being charged for child care for last 6 months, I used it once, upon signing I was not told it was recurring charge, it was suppose to be just that time when we used. So i just paid about 100$ extra for service I never used. Also they charged us service fee for credit card that I have used all the time, there is no issue but they charged me 25$ service fee saying there was issue with 10$ charge. They did say the service fee will be refunded but had I not checked it I would have never known, it was last month bill. One of my favorite Zumba instructors at McKellips & Gilbert EOS is Zulema. She is a Certified Zumba instructor with feeling and spirit in her moves. Her classes are packed with enthusiasm and friends. Her music is often Reggae. Zulema has rhythm you can keep up with. The room has mirrors. So you can check your own moves. Zulema has heart for the moves, the music and her students! Arms swinging, legs kicking, hips swinging, you'll be glad Zulema hosted your Zumba. Aside from the mobs of teenagers taking pics instead of lifting, half the equipment is broken, sticks, or missing pins. Don't ever expect to come to this location have what you need to complete your lift. You'll end up making some adjustment to what you intended to do just to get a decent lift in. Men's sauna is still broken, even after several days of it being down and supposedly fixed. It also seemed like the jacuzzi wasn't working at first, but after about a minute the jets finally turned on - don't know what happened there. The jacuzzi also looked VERY dark and is in need of a cleaning; this doesn't mean it needs to be shut down for days - it SHOULD just be a quick treatment. The location keeps trying to blame patrons for putting water on the sauna, but no other locations have these frequent problems with the sauna being down, so there has to be some kind of deeper (electrical?) problem going on, but it is totally unacceptable at this point and the regular surveys I receive seem to do no good. read more

Mikayla & Jonathan are the reasons for a 5 star review! We have been super frustrated by broken agreements & miscommunications with managers we have spoke to regarding billing, along with receiving attitude for having a preference of who we feel comfortable training with. Most of the staff has been super friendly! The gym is always clean and taken care of. Equipment seems to always be working when we have gone. We have been able to have two sessions with Jonathan and he is AMAZING, and has reached out over the last few months to check in. He trains really well and we felt it the next day. We were planning to cancel our membership and personal training to go to another gym because of not receiving any answers regarding billing. BUT AMAZING, PROFESSIONAL, KIND, FUNNY Mikayla (assistant personal trainer manager? ) who started a week ago. Took the time to listen to my frustrations over the past few months; when she did not have to! She reassured us she would look into our profile and even was able to tell me how many sessions we had left of personal training after months of trying to find out. She is super efficient, due to Mikayla we decided to continue our membership hoping one day she will be the manager! It's good to be back at EoS Fitness! Having been an EoS member in the past, there is no question that this gym is a huge step up. They designed this place during the heat of the pandemic, which meant plenty of time to assemble a state-of-the-art facility. This gym is sleek! There is something for everyone at this location, from the pool, to the circuit workout, to the outdoor space, and of course, cardio with movies on the big screen. There are only two things that have miffed me so far about this EoS. The first is that, yes, per other reviewers, some folks just don't like putting their weights away. While lifting weights outside, a fellow gym-goer dropped by for some barbell squats. He returned inside without putting the plates away. Get it together, man. Putting the weights away means more calories burned; look at it that way if you must! Another thing: In the sign-up process, despite making it perfectly clear that I already have a trainer, they dispatched a profoundly disrespectful dude to try to get me to sign up with their trainers. Now, I've played this game before, of course, you gotta do what you gotta do. I respectfully listened to his pitch. But, whew, this guy somehow thought it was A-OK to condescendingly ask me if I know what macros are while dishing bottom-shelf insults at my training regimen. It left a sour aftertaste to my first visit, but thankfully every visit since has been good. The above complaints are minor. Already, I've had more positive experiences than negative at EoS Val Vista/Pecos. I'm looking forward to checking out the pool and recovery room, getting to utilize more of the equipment, and achieving my fitness goals. Unless anything should prove otherwise, I recommend EoS highly. Just be wary of the sign-up process and stick to your guns. Also -- please -- put those weights away. read more

It is a nice gym, but the equipment is broke a lot. If you sign up for a personal trainer beware. It is impossible to cancel your contract and if you change it they double charge you for the old Price Plus the new and then you have to fight forever to get a refund. They have terrible customer service as everything goes through the corporate office but you can't contact anybody at the corporate office. I don't recommend EOS. I'm trying to get everything wrapped up with the personal trainer so I can cancel my monthly membership. Hopefully I have better luck with that. read more

I have been coming to EoS for years. My husband and I have the memberships where we can bring 2 guests and go to any location. I often bring my younger brother. Whenever I come to this location with my brother, I'm often approached somewhat aggressively to buy my brother a membership. On 8/21, I agreed to buy the family plan with my husband, myself, and my brother on it (a process that took an hour). I was told my current membership, and my husbands, would be canceled and we wouldn't be charged next month. Well, today we were charged. I just got off the phone with ABC Financial, who achieved what was originally supposed to be done. Unfortunately, because my husband's and my original memberships were never canceled, we now have to pay one more month for memberships we aren't using. I already avoid this location in general because of the sales culture, but now I feel I should just leave eos. Who pressures members to get new memberships and doesn't even correctly cancel the old memberships? read more

Brand spanking new gym! This gym is so close to home and I got to watch it get built so I was excited to finally be there the day they opened. You can smell that everything is new and all the weights definitely haven't been broken in. It's so clean inside, hope it will stay that way for a while! The staff here seem to be really nice and always greet. Love this layout better than the others around. It seems bigger and not as hot. Some of the machines are turned a little different which I find weird. They have some facing the wall when they can turn and face the mirror. Lots of bench machines. They don't have one of my favorite bar attachments on the cable machines which I'm super disappointed about. There are lots of towel dispensers around to clean the machines and most people are really good about doing that. Great gym! read more

EOS FITNESS CANCELATION MEMBERSHIP IS IMPOSSIBLE. My wife registered this fitness place in July 24. Third month their automated system failed to process Credit Card payment. Two days later they applied $25 late payment fee while their automated system charged my credit card. When I asked her what is this $25, she had no idea. We called them and explain this is their system's glitch and system should have tried again until goes through since it is automated and they should wave that service fee. At least, when it fails the system should email or text to let us know so that we could manually pay for it. They said NO! we have to pay for it they said and there is nothing they can do about it. We paid and asked them to cancel it. Three months later we got email from ABC Financial services that we owe $91.96 because the membership wasn't canceled. When we called them to say we canceled it three months ago they said there is nothing they can do about it. In order to finalize the cancelation process we must pay this amount not even installments. We PAID this money today through ABC Financial via phone credit card payment. I asked them is cancelation complete now. They said NO when the payment is posted tomorrow it will initiate and next month the membership will be canceled. This is what it was happened three months ago. Now again happening. Let's see if they are going to CANCEL it in January 15 2025 or not I will definitely post it here again. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT REGISTERING EOS FITNESS. You are not going to be able to cancel your membership. If you are already a member of EOS then MAKE SURE YOU GET WRITTEN CONFIRMATION OF CANCELATION. read more
