Awesome decor plenty of seating

Don't ever miss an opportunity to have some jerk chicken or curry here. The steamed vegetables and rice and beans are also outstanding. The service is always quick and the red stripe beer is a must try. The tables are not crowded and the dining room is always clean. Just a great place for Jamaican on the east side.

Vegan curry with fried plantains
Lucine O.

I haven't had an experience like this ever. My friend and I ordered over the phone for take out (vegan curry with a side of fried plantains). They told us our order would be ready in ten. We got there in twenty. We gave our name to the lead server and she was confused and didn't reflect there was a phone in order. They started making our meal only then and we waited another forty minutes. It seems they were running short on some supplies which was causing the delay. The food itself was fairly good. I do think we should have gotten more curry than we did considering the rice portion, but if they were short on supplies there isn't much else they could have done. I also did find a small piece that looked a bit like chicken....in the vegan meal..... The lady helping us was kind and she even gave us ten percent off our meal but I wish they hadn't accepted our order if they were running out of supplies and had given a realistic estimate for our wait time. If we had known we would have waited over an hour after ordering to eat we would have gone elsewhere.

Neck bones sold as Oxtail

Paid $32 for "oxtail" and received neck bones, still had good flavors but not the same especially for the price and didn't even receive good size pieces of meat. I'm not complaining about the price more that they are cheating you with a much cheaper cut of meat and small portion at that. Wouldn't have even made the review if they would've at least put more meat. Also not very family friendly smells like cigarettes inside.

I ate the goat and oxtail. I had the cabbage and plantains with it. Each bit had its own taste and consistency. I did not know what to eat first. The dishes are plenty, I took some home. If you're into island cuisine this is the place.

Stopped in here to grab a quick lunch and went for the jerk chicken lunch special. Was a great deal for $8. Smaller order so it came out quickly. Came with plantain and rice & peas. As you can see from the photo it was a solid portion for what I paid and the flavor was A1. The sauce on top of the rice made it even better. Plantain was good too. All in all I liked it I would definitely come back to try the oxtail & curry shrimp.

Large oxtail meal

It was nice to have an authentic Jamaican experience however, the food wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked. The ambiance and rum punch were amazing. The service was good as well.

This place was such a fun vibe, not to mention the food is amazing. The people there are nice and the staff keeps it fun and professional. Also they have a really great nightlife experience when the dance floor is open at night. Definitely a place you must experience when you're in Tucson.

This is my favorite place in Tucson! The curry Goat is the best, but the Curry Beef and oxtail and chicken dishes are great too.

Excellent authentic food…read more The jerk chicken was really tasty and superb. It comes with steamed veggies: cabbage, carrots, onions. It also came with rice which was good. I also got a Jamaican pop--Cola Champagne. Really good stuff. You just have to ignore food truck prices and bite the bullet to bite the food. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

I've seen this trucked posted up at The Pit for a while, and I've heard good things, so I went full send and tried the oxtails. They came with plantains, rice and peas, and steamed veggies. The oxtails were perfectly cooked and fall-off-the-bone tender. Great flavor! Delicious plantains, rice, and veggies. What a stacked meal. I grabbed the bag and was surprised by how heavy it was. Definitely enough for 2. This was next level from what I've had in the past, and I look forward to visiting again and trying more.

We were lucky to try multiple dishes during a festival from their food truck and everything was all so tasty, especially the tender meats, seasoned perfectly! The plantains were sweet, hot and hit the spot! Our group of friends shared the chicken jerk tacos and stew which was sensational! The service was also great considering they were very busy! While I was waiting in line I was able to watch the amazing process of putting everything together, rice, etc. This is a wonderful family owned business that creates the best Jamaican food around! The churro y plato was absolutely amazing, with warm, crispy churros paired with indulgent dips that made it hard to stop at just one bite. With a reservation, it would have been great to have the option to select outdoor seating ahead of time. The patio atmosphere looked inviting, and having that choice during booking would really enhance the overall experience. Overall, Contigo Latin Kitchen stands out for its flavorful dishes, excellent service, and thoughtful preparation--definitely a spot worth returning to.
