Brooklyn, NY 8/2/2013 Natasha is sooo helpful and their prices are MUCH lower than the other Brooklyn-based locksmiths, specifically All Star Locksmith and Hardware. I only needed a mailbox lock replaced, so this wasn't an emergency or a residence lock, but All Star gave me a quote of minimum $160 while Safeway quoted me $75-80. Not only that, but Natasha adjusted their schedule to get me a locksmith within two hours of my request. Great service and great prices. Flag this review 0 friends 1 review Jim R. Brooklyn, NY 7/31/2013 So I got locked out of my pad over the weekend. I needed in quick. Called several locksmiths in the area. Only one responded within 10 minutes. Randy of Safeway locksmith told me not to worry, help was on the way. Well, not only did Randy arrive at my door in a timely manner but he had me in my place in no time flat. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. What a pleasure to do business with them. Flag this review 0 friends 1 review Betty R. Brooklyn, NY 6/24/2013 Very Helpful! My roommates and I were locked out of our house due to a key stuck in a bad lock, and the locksmith came to the rescue! Even threw in a free lock for a second door! Now I know what it's like to live with working locks! Big Thanks! Flag this review 0 friends 15 reviews Mr. O. Brooklyn, NY 5/29/2013 These guys are awesome! Brooklyn, NY 11/13/2012 This place has some really great people working there. The safety of your home is definitely the most important thing on their minds. Today I noticed that someone tried to break in through my door, and my landlord did not seem to care. When I called and explained this to Randy, he came to my house that evening and did everything he could to help. He explained how exactly the locks work and what it would take to break in, and was so informative. Thanks so much! Flag this review 1 friend 3 reviews Carla L. Brooklyn, NY 8/4/2012 This place is my new favorite hardware store. They didn't have the size screw I needed so they took the time to cut the screws to size. Really nice and helpful and had some really cool spray paint colors. Flag this review 4 friends 2 reviews Angel C. Brooklyn, NY 1/8/2012 Went here to get a couple keys made, and love the family vibe of this business. I would go out of my way to come back. They were way helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. Home Depot has nothing on these guys. The price was right and also I love the little kitty cat roaming around the place! Flag this review 0 friends 2 reviews William Henry C. Brooklyn, NY 7/2/2011 The perfect hardware spot. The employees are super friendly and helpful, and the prices are great. No one likes to be in the position where they don't have any choice and must call an emergency locksmith. I know what that can feel like because I was in that awful position. What I have found is that people today have more than the usual issues, a sign of the times, maybe, or for some that's just the way they generally are. Who knows? I lucked out with Randy from King's Locksmith. If I could give him more than just the 5 stars I would. He's a definite breath of fresh air. A local emergency locksmith, who enjoys his craft and being able to help you out. I found him to be a problem-solver, a knowledgeable, skilled person who knew his craft well and more importantly, got the job done that was needed. Sure, depending on your needs you may pay a little more, but he's upfront with the cost and he writes you a bill with King's Locksmith, his company, and his name signed on it, not somewhere else and with someone else's name. Peace of mind is very important to have. The job he did for me required the lock he was using to be altered. This was his first time having to make that kind of alteration. He worked very hard to do it and he took a chance that it wouldn't work. So far he was successful and he made me a very happy customer. I have put his company, King's Locksmith, into my phone book and if I ever need to have any emergency locks in the future, Randy from King's Locksmith will be the one I call. He is truly what servicing a customer is all about. Thank you Randy, for a job well done. read more

Kings Locksmith is the best locksmith servicing the Brooklyn area. My tenant got locked inside of the apartment due to a failure in the mortise lock set, this prevented the latch from opening. I was finally able to get the door open on my own. I called Kings locksmith base on the reviews I read. Thank God the reviews are dead on. On my initial call I spoke with Randy he was very professional and seem genuinely concerned with my issue and said he would call me back soon as he located a technician. Sure enough within an hour he called to tell me the tech was at my door. When I first opened the door I was greeted by a very young man (Justin ID#K0218) and to be honest I didn't think he could handle the job. But when he got to work I noticed he was very dedicated, knowledgeable and determined to not leave until he conquer his task. The job appeared to be very complicated as I watched him dismantle and troubleshoot the lock set. After pinpointing the problem he proceeded to fix the mortise lock set and replace a worn cyclinder. What I appreciated the most is that he was honest and didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. When he told me the price for his services I could not believe my hears it was so reasonable. I've had locksmiths come to my home and didn't do half of what he did and charged over two times what I paid Kings Locksmith. Great job at a even greater value. Thanks Justin for repairing my lock. Oh did I mention this was late Sunday afternoon. read more

HIGHLY recommended locksmith If you are in need of locksmith services (repairing/installing locks; self-closing devices; electronic locks and security systems; etc.; etc.) I HIGHLY recommend Randy from King's Locksmith, (718) 576-9025. Second generation family owned business. We have a pre-war Crown Heights building with a heavy, solid old door that was no longer latching shut. We thought it was either the lock or the self-closer. I called Randy and he was there the same day. In our case it turned out it was the hinges. Randy actually ended up re-hanging the door and adjusting the hinges. Door works perfectly now. More importantly Randy's fee was totally reasonable and his communication was great. He texted progress updates (including videos and photos) through out the job and was a real pleasure to communicate with. I will definitely be using Randy and King's Locksmith for any jobs in the future (really want to support the older, local business. One caveat: King's is not a locksmith shop. Meaning they are not doing key copies at the storefront - this is for on-site locksmith work. Hope this is of some benefit to someone needing a locksmith. read more

I searched all over town to get these elevator keys made. Home Depot couldn't do it, Lowes couldn't do it, multiple different key makers either attempted to make it and failed or simply didn't have the right key or machinery and referred me somewhere else. I went to King's Locksmith and they had the machinery, they had the keys and were able to make the elevator keys for me. They were prompt and reasonably priced. Then I had a door knob that needed the lock flipped upside down and they were able to do that for me as well. Very pleased with their service and recommend them to everyone. -Cheyenne read more

I came home and had a trouble opening my front door. After about 20 minutes I was finally able to get in - but found that I could no longer lock the door from the inside. This was NOT something I wanted to deal with at 8:30pm after working a VERY long day. Thankfully -I called King's Locksmith, they picked up the phone immediately and arrived within minutes. Tommy instantly knew exactly what was causing the problem and got right to work. It was fixed within 10 minutes and now it even locks smoother than before! Can't thank them enough for fixing my lock so quickly and saving my evening as well. read more

When I lived in Brooklyn I had some issues getting locked out my apt and when I went to Safeway I received Excellent service from these individuals who have been in business for many years. Beside their excellent service they have vast knowledge of Locksmithing that has been passed down through family. So if you want excellent service, great prices & someone you can trust, Safeway Locksmith should be your only choice...... read more

Justin was great. He was able to accommodate my schedule with my crazy work hours and was able to fix my door in under 5 minutes. I am no longer having trouble getting into my apartment. We needed to replace our cylinder as our key would not unlock our door at times which would leave us locked out for a few minutes. I'm super happy with the service and Justin was very sweet... and very cute. :) Thank you King's Locksmith! read more

Randy answered the phone when I called, quoted a fair price and agreed to meet me at my car after I got out of work. He was right on time, was totally professional and got the job done quickly. He charged me what he said he would and the TURNED DOWN the tip I tried to give him saying that he was the owner and that he had charged me a price that was fair to him as well as to me. read more
