I love their large selection of entrees. You also get a lot for the price and it's delicious. Some dishes were a little too salty for me though and the wait times are a little long. First time I waited 45min and second time about 30min. Overall it's good though and I'll definitely go back. Next time I'll just call my order in so I don't have to wait. read more

The food is really good, but all three times I have been there, I have waited 30-45 minutes to get my food. There are very few tables and they are all full with people waiting for take out. I am thrilled to have a good chinese place in our neighborhood. The fried rice is nothing special - it is neither fried or has yummy stuff in it like normal. Came for lunch special and I am really picky when there comes to Asian food as I have distinct preference as I grew up by Chinatown... but this place was pretty good for lunch. The price was great and the flavor of the egg foo young was nice too. I usually don't like this dish since being on west coast but I enjoyed it. Staff was nice too. The only not good thing was the egg drop soup. Lol but other than that I would come again and bring my picky fam also. I think they would like it. Ok... it was awful; the WORST we have ever had. The Mongolian Beef was rubbery, slimy and tasteless- the worst we have ever had anywhere. The orange chicken was okay; just okay. The sweet n sour pork was horrible- soggy and that was before we poured the sauce on. The pork fried rice was dry and tasteless & the crab puffs were not edible. We ordered three orders of them because they're generally gobbled up in our house. They were greasy soggy blobs. My son took a bite and spit it out-said it was sour. The veggies in all the dishes were soggy. First and last time eating here. On a positive note, the gal who gave my husband the food was very sweet! I'm praying no one gets sick tonight. read more

Tried this place for the first time tonight. We ordered Orange Chicken (if you like orange chicken I would highly recommend) Curry Chicken (A- F%^&*&g-mazing) and Snow White Chicken (Moo Goo Gai Pan). If the quality of each dish as a whole was fabulous, the wonderful texture of the vegetables was equally so. Not over-cooked nor under-done. HOWEVER...the quality and flavors of their sauces were .... Stupendous ( and that doesn't do it justice). I never write reviews but everyone should try this place! My new, go-to, Chinese restaurant! First time I've been here and I was pleased. My grandmother rants and raves about this place so we decided to meet up for lunch. The first thing I'll say is it is set up quite weird since you can do dine in and take out but it's very small. It almost gives it a cozy feel. Our waiter was awesome and super prompt about anything we needed. We all got the General Tso lunch special with BBQ rice and egg drop soup. The portions we perfect! The food was amazing and not once did I put my fork down! The egg drop soup was the first test. I've eaten this soup from so many places but this places the soup was made perfectly!! At a lot of places the soup seems watered down and this time it definitely was not. It reminded me of when I was little and sick. Perfectly made comfortable soup! The chicken was made to perfection and the sauce is absolutely amazing. I do have to say that the rice and spring rolls were my favorite by far! I'm a sucker for good rice and spring rolls and this place got it right!! I'd definitely recommend coming here! Our group was for 3 people and the total bill was 23$ as compared to other places at 38-45$ for 3 people! Reasonable pricing and delicious food!! Stop by if you're in the area! Just moved into an apartment complex just a block away from this restaurant and decided to try it tonight. I had the Kung Pao Chicken combination and hubby had the General Yao's chicken. Our entrees were very good and generous. As others have stated the vegetable roll is not very good . It was crispy outside but mushy inside! We ordered hot and sour soup and shared it and it was very good. Asked for take out containers and we will have lunch tomorrow. We will be back! read more

Just stopped in to get some won ton soup for my wife and had great conversation with the staff. The food smelt so good that I ended up ordering more food then what I went in for. Went in for lunch on opening day yesterday and service was quick and staff were very friendly. We ate there during their soft opening and the food has been delicious each time. Nice portions for lunch menu too. They are just getting started and I hope they succeed. We loved it! read more

Do not be Detered.by complaints about plastic wear and bottled drinks served here. I am thrilled about the expensive HEAVY utensils, bowls and take out containers they provide. I like that they forego dealing with rewashing and sanitizing dishes. If I want silver will bring my own. The FOOD is worth trying then decide and the meat does NOT taste frozen. I like that bottled water and drinks are offered...less chance of bad AZ water and unclean fountain risks...kudos that they concentrate on a fair price for Quality Food!!! Only 5 days and couldn't resist returning to sample a few more items off this restaurants menu. This time I ordered a chicken egg roll. It is larger than the vegetable ones served with the combo lunch or dinners. Chicken is a noticable change. Again the crab puffs are delicious! They are better than anyone else in my opinion. Next we ordered off the lunch menu: Shrimp Egg Foo Young with sauce on the side...a generous helping of plump/thick Chinese style omelets well worth reordering, very good! Green Pepper Beef w/onion with a delicate sauce that reminded me of a recipe of a renowned chef long ago. All that was missing from that long ago time was a hint of pineapple and a touch of fresh tomato...probably more USA touch but a Beverly Hills Specialty no less Next we added the Mushroom Beef with a white sauce and sweet pea pods...delicious! Then General Taos Chicken. Not a battered meat fan I loved the sauce and presentation but prefer the chicken on the Teriyaki offering best. However, unlike other restaurants...the meat if ALL 4 disnes was succulent, very tender and so far none overcooked! We tried the egg flower, hot sour, and won ton soups...all three surpassed expectations. All arrived scalding hot. I personally love hot sour soup, but would be happy with any of the three. The Chef knows how to prepare all to a tee! I will return soon...there are so many dishes I am excited to order before coming back for favorites. I almost took a qt of hot sour soup, but would prefer eating here more than at home. Hard to decide absolute favorites just yet...but this is my go to place for Chinese...well worth the 5 & 8 mile trip. read more

I went in tonight for some Jewish Christmas Chinese is what we do on Christmas day. I wanted to try this place as the place up the street from me isn't great. Someplace new. I went in and ordered the vegetable lo-mien which was a little disappointed on the vegetables I like a lot of fresh veggies and they did get the order correct with no mushrooms. I ordered it extra spicy, I got mild spice, I know I am a white girl but I can handle the spice. I also order the sping rolls which were very good and thier hot mustard sauce was very spicy great! The service was great and the food came out as expected for a to go order. Too bad because I wanted to like this place. read more

I just moved into the area and noticed this restaurant down the street. We were wanting chicken fried rice, and cooking was just out of the question. The place is decorated beautifully and clean. It was busy, a lot of take out orders seemed to be in process. I ordered Chicken fried rice, Orange chicken, and Crab Puffs. All we could keep saying was how wonderful the food was. Nice big portions. Perfect in every way. The crab puffs were better than I've had at any Chinese Restaurant, ever. We will be frequenting this place definitely! I'm more than impressed. read more

I stopped in to order some takeout. The hostess was abrupt and unfriendly. I ordered coconut shrimp, house fried rice and spring rolls. The coconut shrimp was battered covered shrimp with a white sauce over the top. There was no sign of coconut anywhere. Very disappointed. read more

What do I think about King's Chef Chinese? Well, it gave most of my family members serious food poisoning. They were vomiting out of both ends for over 24 hours. If this sounds delightful to you... King's Chef is the place to go. Then when I went back there to tell them about the food poisoning, they did not want to do anything for me or my family but give me a small refund. They were extremely rude about the whole situation. I would just hate to see anyone else get what my family had! read more

Been waiting for this place to open and was excited to finally get to try it. The inside is clean because everything is new, but there's not much decor so everything is very basic. No sofa fountain so you have to buy bottled or can drinks which mean no refills. There's only 5 tables inside which seems to be filled with people waiting for takeout orders which was annoying since we went for dinner with the plan to eat in, so we decided to take it home instead. I often get large family meals for football Sundays from other Chinese places and was again excited to see what this place had to offer but their smallest family deal is $90 so they lost me there, which I found odd when they seem to have great lunch specials. Now for the food itself, it's good! This is our new go-to place for Chinese food, and I definitely recommend you check them out. I hope they can fix a few of their short comings and go from a good restaurant to a great one, but for now we'll stick with ordering take out. read more

My husband and I love to eat out and so we were so excited when a new Chinese restaurant came into our neighborhood. When trying out a new restaurant we normally order a large spread and variety of platters at the same time to get a feel for the restrauant. In this particular King's Chef order we took it to go. We started off with a disappointing start as they gave us a pre-made ling ling frozen spring rolls instead of egg rolls that we had ordered. Things got a little bit better with their delicious crab puffs and wonton soup... although my husband said the broth was pretty weak (he ended up adding some beef bouillon to the broth to finish it) but the wontons were delicious! Next up was their sweet and sour pork which was their best dish that they served that night! The pork was tender, flavorful and I really like that they put the sauce on the side so we could add as little or as much sweet and sour sauce we wanted! The platter of beef and broccoli was equally amazing! The only disappointment with this dish was that on their menu it said it came with broccoli, carrots and garlic brown sauce and unfortunately ours came with mushrooms instead of carrots. So just know they do take liberty to change their menu so you'll just have to ask about it on a daily basis. Next we tried their sesame chicken and it was a hit...all except that our chicken was drowning in sauce. There are those out there who only like white meat and if that's the case I probably would be very careful in ordering any of their chicken dishes as that all the chicken platters that we ordered had dark meat there was very little to no white meat given. Next step was their General Tao chicken which was marked spicy but had no spice or kick at all :( and much like the sesame chicken it was also drowning in sauce. Once you scraped off some of the sauce it was quite delicious though. Last but not least was their fried rice which was pretty stingy on the vegetables and ended up being average. With that all said and done, my husband I will probably most likely come back again if only for the bbq pork, sesame chicken and the beef and broccoli platters... we'll stick to getting our ohgeneral Tao chicken from the Walmart deli. read more

I just came from there! Their food is alright. However, the owner needs to train the employees to at least do good customer service!!! I just came from there tonight after Fry's and after an eleven hour shift from work. Yes, I can say that they were full.. However, I waited for half an hour when they told me it will take ten minutes... The guy from the counter asked me again what my order was after waiting for 20 minutes, and seeing people that came after me getting their orders and leaving. Meaning, they forgot my order... They had an excuse that they had a power outage, so on so forth... Granted; you had a power outage; but at least even offer a drink to your customers , not just telling the customer that they are going to cook it quickly... I need my food prepared & done properly and not rushed just to cover their shortcoming. They don't know how to appease a customer. I've tried it a couple of times before, but this incident made me upset with how they handled it. read more
