I had a simple custom request and the barista's reaction honestly made me feel uncomfortable for even asking. The facial expressions and attitude felt very dismissive instead of helpful or welcoming. I totally understand not every order is standard, but as a customer you shouldn't feel awkward ordering a drink. What made it stand out even more is that I had gone to Pure Grind Coffee & Juice Bar the day before, and their barista actually asked around and tried to help make my drink the way I wanted it. That kind of effort and kindness goes a long way. I'm big on supporting local businesses, so this review isn't about being dramatic just honest. Good coffee can bring people in once, but good service is what makes people come back. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

We don't have pastry shops here in Modesto that you can enjoy besides Mr. T's donuts, but those are donuts (delicious) but I want croissants of various flavors! The Mexican bread sold here is mid and the village cake shop is not good! This is where I miss my hometown of S.F where there is an endless variety of shops you can choose from that are all pretty damn tasty. We lack that here so very much. He had changed the menu because of the line and was only making coffee, hot chocolate, and lemonade. We'd been waiting behind about eight other people for quite a while, but we never heard him announce the change. There also wasn't a sign on the truck or by the menu telling customers that some drinks were no longer available. It was frustrating to spend all that time waiting just to be turned away. It felt like he cared more about making a quick buck by serving the fastest, easiest drinks than providing good customer service.
