I've purchased a safe and had many keys made at this place, one of the last place that make them by hand not in a machine like at Home Depot or Lowe's and guess what... they always work!!! This location could not help me with my auto key issue on this trip, but sent me over to their other location on Westheimer and everything was taken care of!!! I needed copies of my house key made. I had used two different kiosks in the grocery store and none of the keys worked. I googled local key makers in my area and they popped up. I went inside and they made my keys on the spot for 1/4 of the price the kiosks were charging me and the keys worked perfectly! When I told them my hassle in getting the key copied, the gentleman told me they have a lot of customers coming in with the same problem. I had a safe that I had been trying to remove with Junk/garabage removal companies, like Got Junk and Load Up (that was a joke) becasue that came up on my google search and they all SWORE they could do it! Anyway it turns out they couldnt and I was calling the WRONG people! I found King Safe and Lock, they helped me research my safe to determine what I actually had and then arrange pick up! and didnt charge me extra for the weight. turns out my safe was a TL30 safe and somewhere between 2500 and 3000 pounds. Three skilled guys , showed up on time, and between their equipment and skill quietly took her away in 10 mins...no drama. Had a poor experience with King Safe & Lock today. Got locked out and and an older gentleman James showed up. He was unable to unlock the front door, then unable to unlock the back door, then unable to get into the garage. This is a lock company right?? I was held hostage outside for four hours and then was given the option to call someone else or agree to allow him to drill through one of my locks for a replacement lock job. Ended up costing me close to $300. I will never use them again. Pissed. read more

When Home Depot wasn't able to duplicate a key I needed, they recommended this place. It was less than a mile away and I guess they had a good working relationship. So I headed over and went on a self-guided tour of their numerous safes and lock options... and even entertained myself with the colorful key and keychain options. I was helped by a gentleman who not only gave me what I needed, but was able to expertly explain the differences in keys and why certain places have or do not have them, which was nice. I came in to purchase my Christmas present to myself, that I had already picked out on my last visit, and was rudely told to leave the store at 2 pm and to come back later so they could close down to run errands. I know it was because I was in my work clothes and they didn't think I could afford their higher priced safes because when I came to pick it out a few weeks ago I was dressed nicely and they spent time with me and I'm sure they would have handled this different if I wasn't in a service uniform. read more

Awesome company. I had to use a lock smith 2 days in a row. The first company I called was Pro locksmith they charged me 250$ for using those inflatable bags to open my office door & told me it couldn't be picked. The next day when my office needed open again, unfortunately. I called Kings safe & Lock and James helped me. Such a sweet genuine man. He only charged me 85$ and he picked it!!! We recently purchased a fire safe from King Safe & Lock. Very pleased with the product. Our first delivery was postponed on the planned day... because they were having a problem with the lock when they were testing it before delivery. We were ok with that since we would prefer to not have a problem with the lock on a 350 lb safe. then came the next call.... they were having a problem locating the safe in town but there was hope they would be lucky and we would get our safe the next weekend. Then the next call-- they could not locate the safe anywhere and it was on backorder (Oh no!!). So, because we had been so patient, they offered an upgraded product instead. Deal! they arrived at the scheduled time(one week delayed). We were very pleased with their customer service and they way they kept us updated on the status of our order.
