I did forget how crazy the traffic and parking can be on a weekend, but if you happen to hit it when the time is right, the food here is on point and priced right. Well worth the drive for me from the west side--there's no decent egg rolls on my side of town. I almost settled for the egg rolls at Jack in the Box! Use to come here often as a child, and it's just as I remember it (just with higher prices). It's a good place to grab a bite to eat, if you're just craving fried foods. They also have Dim sum and other options to choose from, but I typically come here for the fried foods. It's a place that I have returned to, but there's really nothing special about it, which is the reason why I didn't give it a higher rating. It's just not a place that I would really recommend to my friends, unless they really wanted to eat here. I will say that I appreciate that they give 4 items in their dim sum menu, because I'm used to items coming in 3's for Dim sum (but these are a little smaller than normal). ~~Parking: Shared parking lot b/c it's located in a plaza. There are spots marked for 30 min in front of the store, but no one really checks. ~~Service: They're fast to serve and depending on what you order, you might have to wait a little for the people in the back to package your food for you. ~~Best Part: Fried Shrimp Balls. I honestly come here only for the Shrimp Balls, but they're just gradually increasing in price over the years. ~~Worst Part: SIRACHA.....They give your the "fake" Siracha to use when you're dining there. Easy service, childhood egg rolls. My family and I used to visit this shop after church on Sundays, and so I thought all egg rolls were huge and packed with goodies. Since then I've found this is not always the case. It has been a few years since I have ordered from here so the reviews of burnt egg rolls was concerning. Don't go to King eggroll much anymore and after this last time I won't be back. Food is super salty (and I like salty food) so it's just not good. Price is pretty high too, even with today's inflation. 3 item plate which actually is only 2 items since rice or chowmein counts as an item, is $14.50. You'd get better food at Panda. Egg rolls are $2.05 each. $40+ for two plates and 4 eggrolls for mediocre and salty food. Do yourself a favor and skip this location. read more

The worker is rude and discriminate against different ethnicities. She kept walking away for us and taking other peoples orders who were in line behind us. Then rudely say look online and tell me your order. And when I try to tell her my order she will still walk away and help someone else then began to argue with me. So sick of Vietnamese restaurants and shops with RUDE employees!! Don't work in retail or service industry if you don't want to offer great customer service. I made an online order and got a call back from them saying that they no longer have the pork buns and the entire order need to be canceled. Sure, that's fine, no problem. The young woman who called me was cordial and took down a new order. But then she called back saying my card somehow didn't go through so I called back to give the correct info. Another lady answered the phone and said she can't locate my order and they are too busy to sort this out right now so call back another time. Then she hung up. What do you mean you are too busy for me(a valued customer) while I'm trying to figure out the order I placed with your shop for the next day? Since she hung up and I didn't want to deal with her again, I decided to place another order online but made a mistake in having ASAP pickup instead of choosing the date I need. Guys, if you are placing online orders be sure to choose pickup date/time prior to ordering and payment. So I had to call them back in person and another lady picked up but had trouble understanding me in English so she passed the phone to another employee and said in Vietnamese "nói với con nhỏ này đi...". Translation: "talk to this girl ..." Unfortunately for her, I am fluent in Vietnamese and her tone and choice of words were just so obnoxious and unmannerly. Excuse me??? How can you talk and treat your customers so offensively behind their backs like that??? Who would want to buy from you in the future?? Not worth the offensive treatment. After speaking to the 2nd lady in Vietnamese this time. She was also super rude and kept asking me the same lines of questions repeatedly for 5x. It was just a simple fix yet they made it so complicated. What's so hard about locating an order and simply changing the pickup time? Then she said something about maybe not having the sweet cream custard buns but quickly hung up after making that comment. After getting off the phone with her i am sitting there wondering if it's worth it to call back and clarify. Since I've already placed the order, I don't want to call back and canceled it now. But due to their rude employee I will not be buying from them in the future. FYI, they would have to cancel it directly from their end through ChowNow. You can't cancel the order on your own on ChowNow. So this morning I get a call back from the young lady regarding my unfinished order and I told her about the rude employees there. She made excuses for them saying she's very sorry but it's just very busy right now for them, today and tomorrow. And with the language barrier they must not have understood. Consistency and essentially a madhouse factory of epic proportions to crank out egg rolls for parties and events. One could only imagine how insane this would be when THOUSANDS of egg rolls were getting cranked out for the Super Bowl. It seemed like every party in the area ordered a tray full of egg rolls. When it comes to grabbing a ton of egg rolls for a party.. for sure, King Eggroll is a great option to order trays full of them. I unfortunately didn't take pictures; however, I ordered chow mein, fried rice, vegetarian egg rolls, and orange chicken. Was going to go to HK Dim Sum for breakfast, but they were not opened at 8am as advertised, so I headed over to King Eggroll instead. As they say, you snooze, you lose. King Eggroll had a nice small variety of steamed dim sum items for sale at 8am: siu mai (pork dumpling), har gow (shrimp dumpling), scallop dumpling, braised chicken feet, pork spare ribs. I opted for an order of the scallop dumplings and the siu mai, which were good and filling. Each order comes with 3 or 4 pieces and cost $3.95. Egg rolls were sold by the piece, and you had the choice between pork and chicken. I ordered 2 pork egg rolls, which were loosely filled with ground pork and shredded cabbage. Nice and crunchy, without being greasy. Wish the filing was more packed so that each bite gave you a good mouthful of both pork and cabbage. Egg Rolls: I had family visiting from SoCal so I ordered a party tray of 50 egg rolls. The eggrolls did not taste good at all. They were very overcooked and some were outright burnt. I accidentally bit into the burnt end on one and heard a cracking sound. It scared me... I thought maybe I had cracked a tooth. But it turns out it was just the rock-hard burnt outer shell. Rating: 0 out of 5 Chow Mein: I also ordered a small party tray of chicken chow mein. A few of the noodles and carrots were blackened/burnt (probably just a byproduct of being wok/pan cooked on high heat) but otherwise it tasted reasonable. I'm happy to report the chicken was tender. The foods are great but do not expect professional service from this place: Tried to order over the phone: 10 pork egg-rolls, 30 fried won-ton, 20 shrimp balls and 20 fried banana and was told the order is small so no need to order it in advance, just come in! Came in and trying to order the foods displayed in the trays by pointing at the desired foods but was told "no", had to be ordered at the first register which is located at the order end of the L-shaped counter where all other foods that I didnt want displayed,LOL. What the point of showing off the dishes on the trays!!! Anyway, managed to order the foods on the menu on the overhead LCD, then I was told " please wait about 15 minutes. LOL, could have saved 15 minute wait if they had taken my order over the phone. Ended up having the order ready in approximately 25-20 minute. While the Filipino roasted pig has a smoother skin appearance, King Eggroll's version is tasty, meat is tender, but their skin has that bubbly chicharon look. Every time the roommate's friends get together for a Friendsgiving, the Super Bowl, etc, someone brings King Eggroll. This past Sunday, November 29th, we got Eggrolls & Fried xiu mai. Both were hot, crispy and come with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. The egg rolls are big and filled with meat and veggies. I adore the fried xiu mai. Basically like a deep fried meaty wonton.
