I love this place. Primarily for the bean and cheese and the no 5 taco. These are two great vegan/vegetarian options that are so tasty. I also appreciate the horchata / drip coffee mix. They're not bad and I appreciate the flour tortillas. But what they call "migas" are most definitely NOT. Migas should have discernible vegetable chunks, cilantro, pieces of tortilla chips, and cheese. Not eggs scrambled into a bland reddish corn mush and topped with... cooked peppers? Perhaps y'all need a trip back to ATX to refresh your memory. Or maybe just over to King's Kolache. It wasn't a terrible breakfast taco, but maybe call it something else. These tacos are great! Super easy to pick up for an on the go meal and all the tacos are tasty. I've tried different tacos from different locations and they're all very tasty. Service is quick because they often have the tacos already prepared and ready to go. I've never eaten my tacos at their locations because they're just so perfect to bring on the go that I'm always brining them with me to my next stop or the park. read more

Very much a fan of the bean taco! I will say - for around $5 a taco, the structural aspects of it are lacking. I appreciate that the tacos are made ahead of time (minimal wait time!) but I lost half of my cheese on the foil. With that being said, the green salsa rocks and the outdoor space is so cute and if I weren't in a rush, I would've scraped every piece of cheese off the foil...it's that tasty. Excited to try the coffee experiences when I go next. I also appreciate the consistency; I've been going to the stand for a while and the tacos usually do not disappoint and that's something I very much support! read more

Love me some King David Tacos. For years I'd snag one or two by their cart by Prospect Park's north entrance or at Berg'n. So I was more than delighted to hear they were opening a spot up in the neighborhood. Half way down Bergen between Vanderbilt and Carlton you have find the place. With a nice outside area where people can sit and chill, it's sure to make a cool spot during the warm months. Hopefully they can snag their liquor license and I'm sure there will be plenty people hanging there. My two favorite are the BPEC and Queen, but if they have the Cowboy (which is a lunch style taco, as they say) get that one too. They now have some other menu items that I have yet to try, but if I come swing through with friends, I'll be sure to split some with them. If you have a itching for some tacos, look no further. read more

This is probably the only spot in NYC that gives you the perfect breakfast taco! Their menu is small but they know what they're doing and each taco is delicious! My go to is their mamas migas and their pec. I'm not a breakfast person except for when I'm in the neighborhood, then I run straight here to get my King David's fix! read more

Tacos are good and counter service (ie handing you tacos, and salsa) is friendly enough When I went to pay though (40 dollars for 4 tacos and 2 pre made stumptown coffees) the tip prompt said, 15 percent if service was just ok, 20 if good, 25 if great or something like that. Now tipping at these percentages at a restaurant where you were actually waited on, brought food and drinks, given a glass, asked how it was going etc would be expected. But this man handed me a tray of tacos. Why should I give him 8 dollars for that? Not ok to have these as your only options. I really don't want to be rude. I will just be objective. 1. It's not taco 2. If anything it is a wrap in a taco shell 3. Blend, no flavors at all 4. It's pre-packed. When you try to open it, the wrap falls apart, sticks to the aluminum wrapper. It's saggy. 5. The owners/servers seem nice people. But I think they're oblivious to how terrible the food is. 6. These tacos are great. During quarantine I would walk to Hungry Ghost on 7th Ave or head to the cart at Prospect Park with my dog to get our fix. Thankfully that's no longer necessary for me with the spot on Bergen! There aren't a ton of places to get good breakfast tacos so I've been eating the fuck out of these recently. I spent most of my life in Austin before moving to NY, and of all the things I struggled with upon my arrival the worst was how hard it was to find breakfast tacos. They weren't as much of a thing here in 2012. Cue the arrival of King David. It was one of those eventualities that just felt like a matter of time, to the point that I considered starting a taco truck myself, but like most people I didn't follow through on my flights of fancy. I'm glad this company did. As for the tacos themselves, I would say they're just ok. In my opinion breakfast tacos should be big, made fresh to order, and topped with high quality salsa. King David's tacos are decidedly mid weight, batch made beforehand and kept sitting in tinfoil lukewarm until a customer comes along. This is an intentional move to yield quick sales and convince as many vendors (usually coffee shops) as possible to carry their product. Like most profit driven business models this results in a so so product, but I'm still glad these guys exist. KD's is good in a pinch. read more

As someone who has frequented San Antonio and Austin, KDT hits the spot for on the go breakfast tacos! They've somehow managed to prewrap these tacos and avoid making them soggy - a feat in itself. I got the BPEC and o'rizo tacos and both were surprisingly flavorful even without added salsa (which was also tasty/very fresh)! read more

I came here today after a run in Prospect Park. I thought there would be fresh tacos at the storefront...but its the same ones available at the park in the cart. As for the tacos, I was pretty disappointed in the size of these tacos. Each taco was about 5 bucks and the tacos were really small. About three bites and you're done. I think the tacos lacked flavor as well. Could be because they weren't fresh but I wasn't impressed at all..especially for the cost. The outdoor space with tables is nice though. read more

Even though this spot just opened up on Tuesday and they're still in their soft opening phase, they have an adorable outdoor patio space, the breakfast tacos are tasty, and the staff are friendly and inviting. King David, you were supposed to save us all. As a slave to Mexican food, Tex-Mex & all their derivatives and impostors, I must blow the whistle on you guys. Sad to learn these tacos are not made to order, but have been camping out under a heat lamp all morning long. Early bird gets the fresh expensive worm. I was not early, so I paid around $20 bucks for 3 tired, warm foil jobs and a drip coffee that would lose to a gas station brew. UPDATE! After reading some reviews, I decided to change mine. Not only did I "never" go back, I went back several times to try more options. Honestly, I didn't like any of the egg offerings, hOwEvErrrrr.... The bean & cheese and No. 5 (vegan chili) are the best tacos, with ty the bean & cheese being my favorite. I really think this place deserves 3.5 stars, but King David's Tacos doesn't pretend to be a pretentious place and they have a great outside area that is always full of people, so I feel leaning toward 4 is fair. Also, set your expectations right. The tortillas are soggy (I like this) and the cheese sticks to the foil, but the bright way of looking at that means they fill their tacos to the brim. If I wasn't moving I'd probably get the bean & cheese burrito once or twice a week. It really is delicious... and soft. Sorry for my first bad review. Original: I was underwhelmed. i didn't realize the tacos weren't prepared fresh and they taste like they were sitting around for a few hours, bc i'm sure they were. first I tried to pollo verde taco. there was barely any chicken in it and I'm not sure what the other stuff was but it didn't have much flavor. the best part was the cheese and most of that was stuck to the foil lol the second one i tried was the bacon, egg and cheese. this one was better because the bacon gave it flavor, but the bacon could have been crispier and the eggs had no seasoning. more pepper could go a long way! i tried both salsas: red is good l, green was meh. they're only $5 a taco so i don't feel like i was ripped off. this place would better if the tacos were served fresh. if king david tacos was located in atlantic terminal i'm sure it would be a favorite for commuters who need a quick bite before they catch a train. but in prospect heights with so many great options on vanderbilt, i sadly won't be back. sorry :( read more

I love King David Tacos. I have been a customer since the early days in Prospect Park and am thrilled they have a sit-down location with a bigger menu! My dad was recently in town to help me move and we came here every day. Queen bean is my absolute fave, followed by the Pollo Verde. The queso is incredible, as are the buttery soft tortillas, and I like to suck it all down with the iced horchata + coffee. read more

I will preface my review by stating that I literally grew up on breakfast tacos. I'm a San Antonio & Austin, TX native (half of my family is in each city) and I'm also half-Mexican. Tacos are probably the singular thing that I've had more than any other dish in my lifetime. To be blunt: these were *by far* the worst breakfast tacos I have ever had the displeasure of sampling. The main fault I have with them is that the flour tortillas appear to be only par-cooked from the factory, with a completely pale appearance and an absence of the tell-tale toasted brown spotting of a properly cooked tortilla. Worse still, from first bite all four tacos we ordered had a strong raw, uncooked-flour taste and a starchy, rubbery texture. Think grocery store tortillas straight from the package. I understand that factory-made tortillas like these from Fiesta are par-cooked but hell, even Chipotle briefly heats their tortillas before serving. In a word, they were disgusting. Also, the tacos here are pre-made. Yikes. I was pretty hopeful going in but King David was a huge disappointment, especially coming from a fellow Texan. I did visit during their soft-opening so there's the slight possibility that they're still dialing things in, I suppose. That said, their food carts have been in operation for quite a while at this point and as everything is pre-made (again: yikes) for the carts from this location I'm skeptical that this isn't an inherent issue with the product. Sad to say it but I'd emphatically recommend you skip this place. I can't emphasize that forcefully enough. read more

Howdy Austinite here! You have no idea how happy I am that this place opened. I saw the "all day breakfast tacos" sign and thought I might be hallucinating.... Seriously, I was confused about what city I was in but I was in Brooklyn! The service was super friendly. I got the Migas taco and queso around 12PM. The ONLY reason I am giving a 4/5 stars is because I was not a fan of the tortillas they use -- I suppose I'm a purist, but I like the lard-y type of flour tortillas in Austin and these were a lot softer. That said, the queso was off the HOOK and I've truly been unable to find anything even remotely close to the queso here!!! Seriously. The closest good queso is at Alamo Drafthouse haha... no joke tho. I will DEFINITELY be back!!! Thanks for bringing home here read more

Great tacos! Noticed a bit of a kick to the Cowboy taco and that's without putting salsa on. Admittedly you probably need 3-4 to be full, but it allows you to try different versions. My favorite? The No. 5 which is vegan. Surprising, but not upset! read more

This is a 3 star place. The taco is so small and it's just premade. Austin tacos are supposed to be filling and cheap. This is not. The ingredients are better than a taco bell (and tastes better) but I expected that being it was $5 for a small premade taco. read more

I've been going to this place since they've opened and sadly their quality of food continues to funnel down towards less than mediocre food. Being a native Texan who has spent 11 years in NYC I'm always curious when a new taco spot opens especially when they offer breakfast tacos. Growing up in a time where I could grab a quick breakfast taco across the street from my high school in San Antonio for a few bucks are obviously in the past, however it disturbs me to see businesses to overcharge menu items that are made with a few ingredients like (beans, cheese, and small tortillas). Somehow at King David's their tacos get smaller but their prices continue to soar. I'm sure they are aware of the demographics of their clientele being that their two locations are conveniently based in Brooklyn's most expensive neighborhood Park Slope. I will say that their green salsa is tasty. Perhaps, if you can just order the salsa you're better off buying some and then making your own breakfast tacos at home. read more

We love their tacos! Every Saturday, we basically have a tradition where our family picks them up and eats them in the park. We look forward to the deliciously cheesy tacos all week and like them more and more with each week. The scrambled eggs are perfectly fluffy and the green salsa does a great job bringing out all the flavors. I get that they're different from what people normally expect from tacos and I have no reference point of what Austin breakfast tacos should taste like, but these are a really tasty food that makes us happy. read more
