Fast and Fresh Burrito Deli - a 3x3 review: 1) Tortas The tortas here are huge...!!?!? Right off the bat, I couldn't wait to dig in. Every bite had the proper ratio of pastor meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and jalapenos; the bread is just thin enough to make the rest of the ingredients the stars of the show. 2) Tostadas Here's to the open-face sandwich of tacos; if it's not the torta, this is the other way to go. I recommend paying the extra 50 cents for avocados because that will bind all the components together. If I had to nitpick, maybe this isn't the most takeout-friendly of options. 3) Service I was greeted by a nice lady with a welcoming energy. While fulfilling orders from both the front counter and the phone that's seems to be always ringing, they seem to know how to run the place efficiently and effectively (as the name suggests). Bring cash because they only accept cash payments, and leave a tip if you can; I'm sure it can go a long way. 5 stars! Support your local businesses!

Goat Taco

Stopped by for lunch mid-day, the restaurant is an extremely casual location - made to pick up and go. They also sell bottled drinks like Arizona. They have two taco sizes, I ordered two of the larger size. The goat taco was delicious and I'd probably stop by again if I'm nearby don't want to venture off for a taco. Service was nice and quick.

Pricey and not what I expected. I am also from Texas so Mexico is across the border and was always easy to get. The guacamole was to die for! The quesadilla was not. I'm not sure if it tasted old, like the chicken was pre cooked a day before but I couldn't eat it at all. I threw it away. However the guacamole was so yummy!!!! They are definitely protected from COVID19 and are protected. I may give them another go. It looked authentic and I may have just caught them on a bad day. I should have gone with the flautas but they were so expensive. New York prices for sure!

Pork burrito bowl, pretty small portion size

Small portion for the price. I paid $13.50 after tax for a pork burrito bowl and feel ripped off, as the portion size was small and the food was pretty mushy and bland. I honestly prefer chipotle for a more flavorful, fresher bowl that is also almost double in size.

This place is a real gem. If you happen to have wandered in because you were curious, good for you. It's like finding $10 on the floor. From the outside, it looks like a regular bodega. Once you walk in, you'll think you're just ordering some tacos. Suddenly you see an outdoor area with seats and tables. Nothing fancy. Feels like you're in Mexico City eating outside. The tacos are another story. Super delicious. Super satisfying. Super cheap. Carnitas - not your typical carnitas. It has the crispy pork skin! Al Pastor - pineapple pork. The best I've had. Lengua or beer tongue - so tender and tasty. Comes with a roasted jalapeño that's spicy. The home made hot sauce is equally satisfying and delicious. It won't be long before the masses go where it'll no longer be a hidden gem.

Discovered this little hole in the wall while walking around during my lunch strolls in the neighborhood. Was pleasantly surprised to see this spot serves up some really tasty dishes at a reasonable price. My favorite items to indulge in are the huaraches, or soft shell tacos either the vegetarian, fish or shrimp ones. Everything is always fresh and the food goes well with sorrel/hibiscus drink or horchata (rice milk drink). The best part of this little gem is the outside seating area, it's so rustic yet serene when enjoying lunch on a warm sunny day. The staff are very nice and accommodating, even when you desire an item with a particular protein, they'll hook you up. The place is always buzzing with neighborhood workers, construction workers and municipal employees, grabbing a bite to go. If you're in the neighborhood, definitely stop by and grab a bite.

Al Pastor, Carnitas and Spicy pork regular tacos

The name says it all; fast, fresh, burritos, and a hell of a good deal-i!!! This quaint hole in the wall Mexican spot makes killer tacos and all day breakfast burritos (I am a breakfast burrito fiend). They do a massive selection of fillings including some fun ones like goat and beef tongue! These tacos are biggo ones; I was plenty full after 3. I've tried the al pastor, spicy pork and carnitas tacos from here. They do corn tortillas and fill the tacos up. The meat was a little dry but for the price and variety I'm very impressed. I liked the spicy pork the best of the ones I've tried. I've also had the breakfast burritos before and it hits the spot (although I tend to douse mine with Tabasco when I get home). Very egg-y, rice, pintos beans and some sour cream. I feel full but not too heavy after. Pro tip: you can order online for pickup. Plus your first online order is 10% off! There's also a patio in the back for the warmer months.

Wish I didn't take it in the dark, but hope it does some justice!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Been coming here for years since college was nearby, and it's been my favorite comfort food (especially after exams). Honestly at first I was quite skeptical of ever entering, but I would always pass by because I went to Absolute Coffee so often, I thought I may as well! And it's been one of the greatest food decisions of my life! I usually snack on a chorizo tostada and add extra avocado on top. There's usually a bit of a wait (~5-10 minutes), but once you get it it's just like wow, this is heaven! It's a mountain of fatty goodness on top of a crispy tortilla shell. It's loaded with chorizo and spicy oil, some bean paste I think, a bunch of sprinkled cheese and cream on top with the avocado. The process of eating it is pretty messy but your stomach will appreciate it. Super yummy and I don't think any other place I've been to can top their chorizo tostada. I've tried their tacos, torta and burrito bowls, and agree with others that the torta isn't very amazing, but everything else is great, though the chorizo tostada really tops all for me! Also love that it's a local, family owned establishment - the lady and gentleman at the front are always very kind. The back has more space to eat if you need it too. Note that prices have gone up slightly too, but it's understandable considering the area and that chorizo tostada that is practically a meal for me has still been under $5 -- score!

Legit authentic Mexican food. So not like anything else in the part of Brooklyn. Red pork is everything-- on tacos, burritos. Awesome!

I waited for about 45 minutes, while waiting I picked up my chips and a white peach ginger ale. I also talked to the girl in front and she explained that you can get your sandwhich on a hero or roll. I ordered a chopped honey turkey with onions, pickles, lettuce and mayo. The guy who made my sandwich was soo friendly and patient. I just put my trust in him to hook it up lol. He also asked if I wanted to add the chips and I did. Overall my sandwhich was better the next day after it firmed up. The flavor was good but the texture was soft, mushy and just not what I want in a turkey sandwhich. It ran me about 12.00 and it was worth the experience.

Definitely a place for you to pick up a sandwich that won't break the bank.

If that's not the most Brooklyn thing ever, I don't know what is. Same sandwiches, different blessing. Everybody says order the pastrami, so I listened like a grown man should. Pastrami on rye with spicy mustard absolutely slapped. Smoky, juicy, perfectly stacked, and messy enough to ruin your shirt with honor. Then came the beef brisket on rye with a cup of au jus for dipping... and brother, that dip should be studied by scientists. Pure perfection. Washed everything down with a Dr. Brown's root beer like it was 1957. No fake trendy nonsense. No deconstructed sandwiches. Just old-school deli greatness that punches you directly in the soul. Great food doesn't care where you come from -- it just brings everybody to the same table. That's New York. That's Brooklyn.

One of the best parts is that the place is halal, which made it an easy stop for some classic New York deli-style sandwiches. The restaurant has that old-school neighborhood deli feel with a small cozy dining area, wood-paneled walls, and the smell of fresh smoked meat filling the entire place. I went with the combo pastrami and corned beef on rye, and it was absolutely loaded with meat. The pastrami was tender, smoky, and packed with flavor, while the corned beef was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The rye bread held everything together really well and added that classic deli flavor that makes sandwiches like this so good. We also tried the Reuben-style sandwich with melted cheese and sauerkraut, which was equally delicious and perfectly balanced. The portions here are huge, the meat quality is excellent, and every bite tasted fresh and flavorful. Definitely a must-visit spot if you're in Brooklyn and craving authentic deli sandwiches with halal options.

I went with two friends so were able to try three different sandwiches and to be honest, they were all just alright. The food: Roast Pork Special- Fried Eggplant, Provolone, Broccoli Rob- The texture of the pork came off a bit dry, the eggplant was good but kinda gets lost in the sandwich so if I literally had it on it's own I would have appreciated it more but who eats fried eggplant by itself? The rob was nice it added a nice crunch but didn't offer that much flavor. Giuseppe Special- Eggplant parm, meatballs, melted mozzarella. I couldn't get over how soggy the bread was. It was like wet paper towel to me. Soggy bread and everything kinda tasting the same made it underwhelming. Nicky Special- It just tasted like salad in between bread. There was so much veg, that was the main thing I remember in that sandwich.
