Where have you been my whole life, Horchata & Cold Brew!? Just tried it for the first time - such a perfect summer breakfast drink. Sooo good. The tacos are small (& delicious) and the prices keep creeping up (inflation-I get it- but it seems they pop up upwards often. Fresh ingredients and vegan & vegetarian options. Nice staff. I can't quit you, David's Tacos. read more

King David Tacos - Menu from 8/11/2023 - Street Vendors Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

TLDR: A solid spot for Austin style breakfast tacos. The tacos hit the spot in terms of fresh ingredients but I was a bit disappointed that they weren't made to order or had a variety of sauces. I recommend the BPEC! read more

Not good. Teensy, pre-made and sitting in warmer so tortilla is mushy and sticks to foil. I lived in Austin, there is good food there, this is unfortunately not like that. read more

Solid no frills breakfast taco spot. Grab and go, easy peasy. They're on the smaller side for the price, but it's NY so.. that's that! I got the BPEC and Migas, both of which were delicious. I'd definitely come back to try the other ones. read more

King David Tacos - Street Vendors Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Amazing grab and go Texan style breakfast tacos in Brooklyn. We got a bunch of tacos for a large group of people. The tacos were very filling and flavorful. Salsa was fresh and the perfect juxtaposition to the warm and savory tacos. Great veggie options, but lots of cheese in most tacos, (if you're vegan or lactose intolerant). Try the O'riso taco if you like a little extra spice and meat in your life! read more

King David Tacos - Menu for this place. I had the NO 5 and it was amazing. They're a little small but absolutely worth it. I hope they open one up in DC. - Street Vendors Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I'm born and raised in San Antonio, so I'm a tough critic. I wanted to love these breakfast tacos and had high expectations so I would encourage you to try these tacos. I don't love them but like I said, I had high expectations and am a tough critic. This is the second time I've had King David Tacos and honestly they just seen a little overpriced for what they are. I get that we are in New York not Texas, but it's hard for me to buy a tiny taco for $3.50. In San Antonio's, this taco would be 99 cents during early bird hours and $1.50 during other times. The tortillas aren't great and they do weird (to me) things like add beans to an egg and cheese taco. I sort of feel like I could make an equally good taco at home. I like what they are doing and hope they'll offer other types of tacos down the line that I like more. These are not San Antonio style tacos. These are Austin style which has never been my thing but it might be yours, so give them a shot. read more

Woohoo! Breakfast tacos are here in Brooklyn! Specifically Austin-style breakfast tacos. I wasn't the only one eager for those soft fluffy flour tortilla filled with scrambled eggs, potatoes, and other delectable goodies. A fairly long line of ex-Texans was already there homesick for breakfast tacos and wasting no time. The line moved quickly because the tacos are made earlier in the day and kept warm in the stand. There are three choices BPEC (bacon, potatoes, eggs, and cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese), Queen Bean (homemade refried beans, potatoes, eggs, and cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese), and Or'izo (chorizo, potatoes, eggs, and cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese). Each taco is $4 and rolled up, it was slightly bigger than the palm of my hand. You also have a choice of green or red salsa. What makes Texas breakfast tacos stand out from other breakfast tacos you might order at a Mexican restaurant is the flour tortilla. It's fluffier and flakier than what you would eat elsewhere.I also really love the scrambled egg in the tortilla - very soft and creamy. I also recommend the green salsa over the red, but that is strictly a personal preference. read more

Very good and the food trailer was quirky walk in a circle around it looking for it. Tacos were premade from headquarters but very tasty

Ordered these into the office for our department breakfast and I thought the tacos were really top notch and tasted a lot like the ones I've had in texas. The only things I'd change are (1) more salsa on the side and more types of salsa and (2) there's only one friday a month where you don't need to order at least 100. I figure as their business develops this requirement will probably be gone but at the present it's kind of a pain. But I really do hope they get off the ground though because those tacos were legit. read more

I am an office manager and we serve breakfast everyday. King David Tacos are the FAVORITE of our office. My members ask for them all the time and I promise once one a month because we love them too!!!!!!! read more

I really just limit my critique to coffee and staff hygiene... I had the Americano... Large... Which was miserable... It wasn't hot... It was so watery... That it had very limited coffee taste... I had to throw it out... But I think what made it a worse experience was that the person that served me the coffee had dirty hands... As if he just rolled out of bed and didn't bother to wash up... That stayed with me when I left the car... Even though I can't blame management... Maybe management can inform staff that they should always wash their hands before they come to work... read more

The tacos are tasty but are way too salty. Two small tacos are around half of your daily sodium intake, and I still had a salty aftertaste an hour after I finished eating them. read more

While visiting NYC this week, a family member gave me a special treat of tacos from their favorite Taco place...KDT. Never having tried them before I was pleasantly surprised that they were still delicious several hours later! Saved one for the next morning (egg & cheese) and heated it up. Once again, delicious! I especially loved the vegetarian one...added some of their special hot sauce. Can't wait to go back up for more. No more bagels for me in NYC....changing over to morning tacos. read more

I purchased my lunch at the restaurant on Bergen, the kitchen was busy with staff but I got a run for my money: Tacos are supposed to be made fresh, I could not believe the only offer is a medium warm, pre-wrapped taco in aluminium foil under a heat lamp. The cheese and beans were stuck to the foil and the tortillas were saggy and breaking appart. read more

Delicious and convenient! Located directly across from Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch, this little cart has great breakfast burritos at a great price! Menu includes only four taco options, but all are solid. My personal favorite is the Or'izo. Doesn't compare to tacos in San Diego, but the are all pre-wrapped, around $4.25, and you're out with breakfast within a minute. An additional plus is that they have two packaged iced coffee options by stunptown. First is a canned nitro cold brew, no sugar or cream. Second is a cartoned cold brew with coconut milk. Overall, a perfect place for those getting breakfast on the go. Just don't expect the best tacos you've ever had. Warning though: if you come close to their closing time at 11am, some taco options will have sold out. read more

As a Austinite who just moved to NYC, I was so pleased to stumble upon this food truck. Unfortunately, I was not able to eat vegan at the truck because the tacos were already wrapped and could not be modified (totally understandable). I hope to try the brick and mortar location for better vegan options, but the taco I had today was yummy! read more

FINALLY! Some blessed Texan has brought authentic breakfast tacos to New York City! There are a few thousand Texans in this city who dreamed of quitting our jobs and opening a breakfast taco joint, but Liz Solomon actually did it. And boy, do they taste like home. There are two options - and two options only - with no changes allowed. Don't worry, you won't need to make any. These are the classics. Option 1: Bacon, potato, egg and cheese. Option 2: Refried beans, potato, egg and cheese. Both served on a flour tortilla with a side of salsa, of course. If you are in search of corn tortillas, please search elsewhere. Right now they do catering orders only, starting at 100 tacos minimum. I rounded up my office for an order and quickly became the most popular person at work. read more

I got food poisoning on mother's Day morning ordering their vegan chili taco I still have diarrhea but I did stop regurgitating after 48 hours I would never ever order from them again read more

Pretty good, expensive but good. The red salsa is better than the green too. Prefect for breakfast that's not too heavy or light. I'll be back. read more

My partner and I had breakfast plans one Saturday, and those plans went right out the window when we came across King David Tacos at Grand Army Plaza. One bite took me right back to Austin. Were they the absolute best tacos in the world? I dunno, but these are by far the highest quality we've tried in NYC so far. We loved the BPEC and Or'izo, and we'll already planning to go again. read more

A coworker raved about these Austin style breakfast tacos so I was excited when we got office catering from them. Too bad it wasn't anything special. The chorizo was the best of the three they had, and the bacon and egg one was just bland with fatty, chewy pork bits (and not in a good way). I will say the queso was spicy and delicious, even if it was 9am... read more

Ordered KDT for a company wide breakfast! The staff was super helpful, from answering all of our questions, to making sure our needs were met (e.g. gluten free, dairy free), to getting the delivery here on time - even during an actual Nor'Easter. Anyway these tacos are BOMB. My personal favorite is the Queen Bean! If you order catering, do not skip the Queso. Do. Not. Skip the Queso. "This queso is so good... it's kind of fu*ked up" - actual quote from our Product Marketing Senior Manager read more

Queso Queso Queso!!! This stuff is incredible and I can't get enough. Authentic Austin Tex-Mex, which is an amazing treat to have in New York. The breakfast tacos are awesome and authentic - and the salsa needs mentioning too! We've had both the tacos and the queso here at the office and it's the perfect antidote to the usual catering - total crowd pleaser and so delicious. A queso fountain would be a welcomed addition. read more

Yum! Our whole family loves these so much, including our toddler. We love the sauces and the tacos are consistently delicious. The people behind the vendor are also really wonderful! I also love the small menu, just a couple of sauces, not extravagant just easy choices and SUPER deliciousness. read more

Love that there are breakfast tacos right at the entrance to the park every morning! Unfortunately that means I'm tempted to get a taco every morning and frankly my wallet can't support that. I had the retried bean tacos (which had some punny name or another which I can't remember). I do remember that the tacos were delicious. I dumped the entire red chili sauce (not too spicy, but just right) on the tacos and dug in. Delicious, filling, relatively healthy and convenient. Can't get much better. Super pleased about the new breakfast option in the neighborhood! Honestly I ate it too fast and then realized I should have taken a pic of it. read more

These tacos are da BOMB. Can't wait for them to get a food truck or something.

Tacos were decent though I'm not sure I get the whole Austin breakfast taco craze. I definitely like the ones without meat more. The bacon ones were dry and bland and the bacon essentially turned to jerky once it cooled. Both needed a heavy helping of sauce. read more

Nope. Mediocre at best. Terrible tortilla. Don't let the yelp rating fool you into thinking that the breakfast tacos are legit.

The tacos are good, but the price point is absurd. $4.30 for a single taco? It's tasty and large, but it's not a meal which means you need at least 2. $3 for a water?! I like this place and would like to be a regular, but you've gotta improve the price point. read more

Delish! Almost like being back in Austin. Only bad thing is that they ran out of tacos and my friend and I had to wait for a fresh batch to be delivered. Hint: after you pick up your tacos go and sit on one of the tables on the library plaza across the street. Great alfresco dining. read more

Amazing experience all around!!! Thank you KDT! I wanted to host a staff appreciation breakfast at work last month and being a native New Yorker I have one go to.....bagels and appetizing. Its 2017 and that just wasn't good enough for an appreciation event. My co-workers were so thankful a friend referred me to King David Tacos......The BPEC and Queen Bean were huge hits....but the love affair really occurred when queso hit taste bud. The flavors in the food were amazing....you can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the love that went in to making this food. The whole experience was first class all the way through. Easy ordering process, friendly customer service, but most importantly reliable delivery. KDT showed up on time with HOT tacos! Co-workers are constantly asking "when are we getting those tacos again?" We will definitely be placing another order this month and are already drooling over the thought of more KDT queso and breakfast tacos. read more
