Amazing grab and go Texan style breakfast tacos in Brooklyn. We got a bunch of tacos for a large group of people. The tacos were very filling and flavorful. Salsa was fresh and the perfect juxtaposition to the warm and savory tacos. Great veggie options, but lots of cheese in most tacos, (if you're vegan or lactose intolerant). I'm born and raised in San Antonio, so I'm a tough critic. I wanted to love these breakfast tacos and had high expectations so I would encourage you to try these tacos. I don't love them but like I said, I had high expectations and am a tough critic. This is the second time I've had King David Tacos and honestly they just seen a little overpriced for what they are. I get that we are in New York not Texas, but it's hard for me to buy a tiny taco for $3.50. In San Antonio's, this taco would be 99 cents during early bird hours and $1.50 during other times. The tortillas aren't great and they do weird (to me) things like add beans to an egg and cheese taco. I sort of feel like I could make an equally good taco at home. I like what they are doing and hope they'll offer other types of tacos down the line that I like more. These are not San Antonio style tacos. These are Austin style which has never been my thing but it might be yours, so give them a shot. read more

Woohoo! Breakfast tacos are here in Brooklyn! Specifically Austin-style breakfast tacos. I wasn't the only one eager for those soft fluffy flour tortilla filled with scrambled eggs, potatoes, and other delectable goodies. A fairly long line of ex-Texans was already there homesick for breakfast tacos and wasting no time. The line moved quickly because the tacos are made earlier in the day and kept warm in the stand. There are three choices BPEC (bacon, potatoes, eggs, and cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese), Queen Bean (homemade refried beans, potatoes, eggs, and cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese), and Or'izo (chorizo, potatoes, eggs, and cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese). Each taco is $4 and rolled up, it was slightly bigger than the palm of my hand. You also have a choice of green or red salsa. What makes Texas breakfast tacos stand out from other breakfast tacos you might order at a Mexican restaurant is the flour tortilla. It's fluffier and flakier than what you would eat elsewhere.I also really love the scrambled egg in the tortilla - very soft and creamy. I also recommend the green salsa over the red, but that is strictly a personal preference. read more

Ordered these into the office for our department breakfast and I thought the tacos were really top notch and tasted a lot like the ones I've had in texas. The only things I'd change are (1) more salsa on the side and more types of salsa and (2) there's only one friday a month where you don't need to order at least 100. I figure as their business develops this requirement will probably be gone but at the present it's kind of a pain. But I really do hope they get off the ground though because those tacos were legit. read more

I really just limit my critique to coffee and staff hygiene... I had the Americano... Large... Which was miserable... It wasn't hot... It was so watery... That it had very limited coffee taste... I had to throw it out... But I think what made it a worse experience was that the person that served me the coffee had dirty hands... As if he just rolled out of bed and didn't bother to wash up... While visiting NYC this week, a family member gave me a special treat of tacos from their favorite Taco place...KDT. Never having tried them before I was pleasantly surprised that they were still delicious several hours later! Saved one for the next morning (egg & cheese) and heated it up. Once again, delicious! I purchased my lunch at the restaurant on Bergen, the kitchen was busy with staff but I got a run for my money: Tacos are supposed to be made fresh, I could not believe the only offer is a medium warm, pre-wrapped taco in aluminium foil under a heat lamp. Delicious and convenient! Located directly across from Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch, this little cart has great breakfast burritos at a great price! Menu includes only four taco options, but all are solid. My personal favorite is the Or'izo. Doesn't compare to tacos in San Diego, but the are all pre-wrapped, around $4.25, and you're out with breakfast within a minute. An additional plus is that they have two packaged iced coffee options by stunptown. First is a canned nitro cold brew, no sugar or cream. Second is a cartoned cold brew with coconut milk. Overall, a perfect place for those getting breakfast on the go. Just don't expect the best tacos you've ever had. Warning though: if you come close to their closing time at 11am, some taco options will have sold out. read more

There are two options - and two options only - with no changes allowed. Don't worry, you won't need to make any. These are the classics. Option 1: Bacon, potato, egg and cheese. Love that there are breakfast tacos right at the entrance to the park every morning! Unfortunately that means I'm tempted to get a taco every morning and frankly my wallet can't support that. I had the retried bean tacos (which had some punny name or another which I can't remember). I do remember that the tacos were delicious. Amazing experience all around!!! Thank you KDT! I wanted to host a staff appreciation breakfast at work last month and being a native New Yorker I have one go to.....bagels and appetizing. Its 2017 and that just wasn't good enough for an appreciation event. My co-workers were so thankful a friend referred me to King David Tacos......The BPEC and Queen Bean were huge hits....but the love affair really occurred when queso hit taste bud. The flavors in the food were amazing....you can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the love that went in to making this food. The whole experience was first class all the way through. Easy ordering process, friendly customer service, but most importantly reliable delivery. KDT showed up on time with HOT tacos! Co-workers are constantly asking "when are we getting those tacos again?" We will definitely be placing another order this month and are already drooling over the thought of more KDT queso and breakfast tacos. read more
