February 13, 2026, yesterday I ate there for the last time, I waited until 12:30 so the food would be hot and fresh, but it was old and cold. I told my server and the manager that the food was terrible and cold, but they said nothing to my surprise. So, I paid my bill and left the building and will never return there again. Not a bad spot for Chinese buffet! They've got a lot of variety, even for vegetarians. They have all the usual soups, chicken options, and even fried fish and fries if you're a picky eater. The selling point to me and my friend is hibachi. You pick the rice and all the toppings and put it on a plate, then you hand them the plate and tell them which sauce you want them to cook it with. I did the teriyaki sauce with mushrooms, jalapeños, and shrimp. Very filling and flavorful! Most of the other options from the buffet are hit or miss. I didn't like most anything, except the fried frog legs and the black pepper chicken. Even the fried rice in the buffet section is bland. You can get fried shrimp as well as shrimp with the head on. Those were good! On a Thursday evening, there were a decent amount of people! Lots of families coming in to eat. Tons of tables to accommodate too. It never got packed. The place is clean and they come around often to take away empty plates. Service is good. They're just there to do the job but they were nice. For the price, it's pretty good. $15 for each of us. This was a big meh for me. My husband's friend was visiting and loves a great Chinese buffet, so we decided to check out King Buffet. Some pros: large selection of food, including Chinese dishes, hibachi and sushi. Most of the options had full trays. The staff was also quick to take away used plates and refill drinks. Why I wasn't impressed: Some of the meat dishes had a lot of gristle or were rubbery. I found a hair in my food, which turned me off eating more, if I'm honest. The rice also seemed overcooked; it's kept in rice cookers at the end of the buffet. I also wished more of the food was labeled; several were missing tags. My kids loved the ice cream -- a highlight of the experience for them. Seeing them light up when they got to go back for seconds was the bright spot for me too. read more

They have more than enough items to choose from. Some of the biggest chicken wings I've ever seen. Very clean in there. We have been excited to try the new Chinese food buffet in Gardiner Lane shopping center. Plenty of parking in the lot and the restaurant had flags and other banners celebrating the opening. A bit confusing when we first arrived, but we made it to the front and received a number for a place in line. The place was packed and we arrived at 5:45 PM. The seaters called numbers out of order based on the size of the table, which was frustrating. They called numbers that were 20 ahead of us just because a larger table was ready. Process could definitely be better. Also, they just yelled out numbers and it was hard to hear. When our number was finally called we had to pre pay for the meal and a 10% gratuity was added. You also had to order your drink at that time. There are two main buffet lines and a sushi and hibachi area. The first buffet area had the Chinese staples and hot items. The second was mostly a salad bar and seafood items. The sushi area was mostly out and rolls were labeled. Overall the food was okay. I had high expectations since it was so crowded thought it would be hot and fresh, which it was but the quality just wasn't the best. My daughter loved the ice cream area, but only one scoop and you had to reach your hand down in the containers. Also, sometimes our plates were cleared but not all the time. Plus I had to ask for more water since they weren't coming around. We'll try again in a few months when hopefully they'll ironed out some of the kinks. read more

I'm not really a buffet person at least not now that my metabolism has dropped like a lead weight. But King Buffet has really good Chinese dishes and to be honest, I'd probably come back just for the chicken wings. It was very clean and very quiet when we we there. Not quiet as in no one was there, there was actually a decent number of people eating, but I expect a certain kind of abrasive cacophony of sound at a buffet - not so here, it was surprisingly and pleasantly serene. Staff kept the buffet line well stocked the entire time, and considering that we were there later in the evening, I think it speaks to the degree to which they value every customer's experience. read more

Me and my kid have been here many times,never had a problem until just recently.There were Alot of items to hard from sitting possibly and didn't taste it's freshness,A cup of cocktail sauce fell out of my hand and I was so embarrassed,I told a waitress about it apologizing and her and another girl started laughing at me and walked on speaking in their language,making me feel more worse than I already did,the waitress that cleaned it up was very nice and I apologized to her as well.She wasn't mean,she took care of us great,the other 2 coming around like we were suppose to be done and it's time to go,once we did get to eat,the fried rice was good and several other items I ate as well,the ice cream didn't look nor smell good,you get good service,and of course bad.You sometimes get your drink refilled sometimes not.I don't like the hoovering around expecting a tip,when I was going to anyway.The ladies bathroom needs to be remodeled,toilets stop up and it needs more lightning.Sorry so long we won't be going back to King Buffett first time ever we got sick to our stomachs.I enjoyed this place but it has been going down hill for a few months now. read more

I read several reviews before visiting this restaurant. There are some negative reviews for sticky tables. First of all, the table I sat at was in good condition. I visited with five friends, and I will share their honest opinions. In this restaurant, you pay first, then sit down and eat. From now on, you have to do the math. The drink price ($2.99) is slightly more expensive than the Jumbo Buffet ($2.29). The further problem is that 10% Gratuities are automatically added to the Bill. After paying by credit card, another tip screen appears on the screen. I felt guilty if I didn't pay for an extra tip. Finally, you will pay more than you expected if you don't do the math. Our friends wanted to sit down and pay the server a reasonable tip for the service we received after our meal. Three of us don't want to go back for this reason. One liked that this restaurant had ice cream. At Yoki Buffet, the area near the ice cream scoop is dirty. The water in which it is contained is also messy. This King Buffet was clean, and I hope they keep it consistently clean. Since this restaurant is newly opened, the food is varied and fresh. Other reviews have raised issues about adding and receiving tips in advance. Even if this is fixed, more customers will come. read more

Yes, I know it's a chain but this particular one had so many choices for such an awesome price. We decided to get our main meal in for lunch aka pig out then have a light meal for supper. We both started out with such fresh sushi, tuna, salmon and shrimp. Pineapple and lightly pickled cucumbers with tomatoes. Then I had a couple of fried butterflied shrimp, seaweed salad in a tofu skin, smaller cooked shrimp, more of the sushi tuna, and finally pineapple to finish it off. Fabulous meal that was fast and for me, relatively fresh. Hubs veered off from me but that's the joy of this extensive buffet. I took photos when the crowd finally left but there were so many people who were eating so no fears of getting any food related diseases as turnovers of food was brisk and they kept restocking. Went back for 2nd time for lunch this week. They have NOW instituted a 10% AUTOMATIC tip to bill as soon as you walk in pay first then seated. Yet when bill is printed out, it still has line for "Tip" so an unsuspecting customer may not realize and end up double tipping; that's misleading . Also receipts copies are taken away by cashier and put on table with no copy for me to see bill and taken away by server. I was never provided a copy, just like before. Disappointed I noticed this 2nd visit is that certain popular items that were on lunch buffet earlier in week when originally opened, are NOW on higher priced evening dinner; disappointed. The Bourbon Chicken which is typically my favorite wasn't sweet at all and bland!!!they had one beef dish but not much beef and mostly vegetables. The food was "OK" at best but wouldn't say it was good. Many dishes seem flavorless and NOT even "Asian" type food. Again, for the price and decent quality $12.00 for lunch plus 10% still not bad. My wife later wanted a Soda. with tip it was $ 3.49, definitely pricy plus none of our water drinks or my wife's soda were refilled. My kids and wife also thought it was decent but nothing great. Maybe once every couple months when have the craving. But my kids suggested we go back to Yoki Buffet on Hurstborne which I have to agree with them, unless things change here. read more

Food was good. Service is terrible. The cashier lady hawked like security at everyone during the transition from lunch to dinner. She popped up on people's tables and while the other customers were getting their food. And, if you just accidentally have taken food from their dinner option (which were not labeled as dinner), she will insist to upcharge your bill. Then, she kept screaming at the other staff and ordered them to do the same. There wasn't any sign upfront for this shift change. It wasn't a pleasant experience to be watched like you're in jail. We went there on a Saturday evening, and the place was busy and loud. They had us seated and eating within ten minutes which I found to be very quick. Everything was clean, and we were checked on often. It's a big place with a lot of food stations and something for everyone. All of the food was fine, standard American Chinese buffet fare, with some tasting better than others. (But that's what a buffet is for, right? To try different things.) I would have liked an alcoholic drink (or two!) but you can't have everything. It did look like there was a lot of seafood, if you're into that. I'm not sure if it will help the staff because people don't tip at buffet's or will it stifle it for people like myself who tip more than 10 percent time will tell. But back to the food I think they have a better selection of seafood choices than most buffets. I was there at prime time which I'm sure helped make the fresh full containers of food a site to behold. The reason I downgraded a star was because the ingredients on the hibachi grill were not so fresh and the guys grilling seemed a little undertrained. I came in around 2pm. Beautifully decorated restaurant, very clean, bathrooms clean. I asked for a diet mountain dew but got a diet Pepsi instead. No biggie. Tried bourbon chicken salmon, crab Rangoon, dumplings and egg roll. Salmon and bourbon chicken were nice and hot. The other items were Luke warm. Went back and tried General tso chicken, fried rice, pepper chicken, chicken strips and sweet and sour chicken. Same thing. Fried rice was nice and hot, chicken was Luke warm, kinda chewy on the strips, the breading was falling off the sweet and sour chicken. The dessert selection was ok but a lot of em were sitting above the buffet so they weren't as cold maybe as they should be. Ice cream was good but overall for about $18 with tax and tip, hard pass. For a buffet the food tasted very good. Me and my wife agreed that even though the selection was smaller than other buffets this one was more worth the money. The service was good. Restaurant was very clean. Only thing that threw me off was the restaurant was still decorated and themed with the previous seafood restaurant decor and the Togo cups were from the previous restaurant. My guess is it's the the owner is the same as previous or the new owner didn't want to redecorate. read more
