This has been the most authentic Chinese food I've had. The prices are amazing for how much you get, and it's so good I ate the leftovers cold the next day. Highly recommend everything on the menu. The desserts aren't great, I tried four different things and they just weren't the best. But the food itself was absolutely fantastic. Ordered a dinner of vegetable lo mein got home and there was only one piece of broccoli in it and the rest all noodles. I wouldn't call that vegetable lo mein. I called and talked to someone and she stated I run a business that's what you get. She was not very nice. read more

This is not a very good Chinese buffet in Mt. Washington. I went a few weeks ago for lunch and it was not a very good experience. There was no need for service because it was slow and non existent. Stopped in to give the place a try. We was greeted and escorted to a booth. The restaurant is clean, food is buffet style and kept hot or cool where appropriate. The food was good, nothing fancy however was well worth what you pay. There was a young lady who kept our drinks full and removed dishes from tables quickly. I recommend if you are in Mt. Nice place to have some Chinese and cleaner than any other Chinese buffet I've visited. Server was friendly and made sure our drinks stayed filled and the table was maintained. Prices are great and only spent around 30 bucks for a party of 5 which included children. Some of the food looked to be hanging out on the line a bit too long but other than that it had good flavor and we filled up. We will return. read more

Great Chinese place with great food! I've been eating here since it was a little hole-in-the-wall take out and now that it has a buffet, I visit at least once a week on my lunch. The staff is very friendly. The same people have owned it since I was in middle school (I'm 28 now ). I'm there so much they have my total ready as soon as I walk up to the counter. The food is worse than I could have imagined. I ordered the shrimp lo Mein and asked for extra onion. Some onions were still kinda crisp but most were near the point of being caramelized so I could tell it was old lo Mein with some fresh onions added. The taste was greasy and bland at best and the entire plate of food was just brown. It looked like it was lo Mein with peanut butter mixed in. I also had the crab Rangoons, grease was running down my fingers. I have never had that happen before and I was quite frustrated because I adore good crab Rangoons. My husband ordered the happy family fried rice with extra meat (which we were charged for) but there was definitely not extra meat. The women's bathroom door would not even lock and the bathroom was filthy. That was a meal only a bottle of wine could fix. read more

I always order shrimp chow mein and sometimes shrimp lo mein when I get Chinese food. Today I ordered shrimp chow mein and I get home and all I have is shrimp and LOTS of onions with fried rice. I drove back up there and the lady at the counter said that it is correct. There are no noodles in chow mein! What?!? Since when?!? I even showed her the menu where it says chow mein comes with noodles. Needless to say I threw the whole thing away because it looked nasty. I won't be back! read more

In my opinion, every town needs a rundown Chinese restaurant with excellent food. Mt. Washington has New China. The owners here are friendly and make the food themselves. My normal routine is to call in as soon as I leave my house, "hello- new china..." I'll give my order, "ok. Phone number?... Ok, be ready soon, bye [hangup]." I'll arrive 10 minutes later and wait about 5 for the food to get done then head home. The food is good, and you get a lot. So at first i thought it was pretty good but when i got home i ended up getting really sick. My family and i all had food poisoning.

This place started out as a take out Chinese food restaurant. After several years of ordering from there they and enjoying ever single order, they decided to turn the place into a buffet. If this place wasn't busy enough before it is definitely paced now. Open for lunch and dinner you will never be disappointed. Most Chinese buffets taste like reheated frozen garbage. This is the closest to home cooked Chinese food I've ever had. The crab rangoon is far beyond any you've ever had. The hibachi rice is a knockout side dish as well as the lo main. Several chicken options such as chicken and broccoli, general tso's chicken, chicken and mixed vegetables and chicken on a stick are more than enough to fill up your plate. Steak options such as pepper steak and steak with peppers and onions will satisfy any hunger. Egg rolls and spring rolls are like no other you've ever had. This restaurant is one of the better buffets I have been to. The food was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. I recommend the hibachi rice, which was outstanding. The interior was clean and well decorated, and the service was great. All of the employees were friendly. Restaurant review: This evening at about 7:00 pm my wife and I went to the New China Buffett in Mount Washington next to the Value Market for the first time. We ate in at the buffet. Not only was the food excellent, the place was extra clean. At $9.95 for each us it was a great deal considering the extra offerings that are not usually found for this price. Things like frog legs, and BBQ ribs, pizza and more. Both my wife and I thought the ribs were extra good. Even though Deb is not a fan of Chinese food she found plenty of food that satisfied her appetite. Board of Health rating was 100%. If you go I hope you enjoy your visit at much as we did.
