This little spot is located in Highview, not far from the Gene Snyder. It's located in the save-a-lot strip mall. The food is amazing, maybe the very best Chinese take out. My daughter brought me here for lunch. We had sesame chicken combo plate, Crab Rangoon and an order of fried rice. It was so yummy! We both loved it! And we had enough for her to take home for dinner. The only reason this scored a "4", the bathroom is absolutely disgusting. So if you don't have to go, great, if you do have to go, just wait. It is one of the dirtiest bathrooms I have ever seen. read more

Zero ambiance & tasteless food but I'm reviewing because of the horrible attitude. I phoned in the order for pickup & the lady abruptly said "15 minutes" & hung up. She didn't even ask my name, a tip off they had no customers, to speak of. Sure enough, I arrived to an empty restaurant that looked run down & posting the midst of renovation or being condemned. Based on the crappy attitude, this must be the same personality challenged lady that took my order. Cut to the chase. My mom's chow mein was mostly onion & tasteless. She didn't even eat it. I had some other lunch un-special that was so unimpressive I forget what it was; hot chicken & vegetables. The prices on Yelp for the lunch specials were several dollars less than I was charged. My husband went to get Chinese food at this establishment. His first time he was greeted by the children of the business. A five year old boy came out and asked him who he was. This startled my husband as he considered it very rude. An adult took my husband's order and while he was waiting he helped himself to some soy sauce packets. The child immediately went up to him and took the packets away from his hands and put them back without saying a word. Then an adult said something and the child gave them back to my husband. Maybe it is a cultural thing. Very weird. The wait was very long. Food was okay, but nothing to talk about. Months later we decided to give them another try. He called in the order and went into the restaurant. He was informed that they would not start the order until he had paid. While he was waiting many people came in and picked up their order. Thirty-five minutes later his food was ready. Why did he have to wait when it was obvious that others did not? We had ordered beef with snow peas and ended up with beef with broccoli and that was very oily. We will not being going back a third time. Beware! read more

Overall: Fantastic, wow. This is the place that I think of the very second Chinese food becomes a thought. Their food is above all, excellent, and very reasonably priced. I've been coming here for years now and they never disappoint. Staff: I'm more than certain it's ran by a husband and wife because I only ever see the same two people there pretty much year round. They are always 100% friendly and to the point. They'll repeat your order each time to make sure they've got it right and they always get it right. Food: 100%, bravo. Chinese food isn't super hard to master but it's really easy to mess up, too much of one thing and the balance of the whole meal is off. They know what they're doing here, always having just the right balance of flavors and content. I typically get the Orange Chicken, and I always get an order of Sweet and Sour Chicken, it's pretty consistent. A 4 is a bit high. Picked up the house special fried rice which was great. Along with that hot and sour soup. Not so hot. Literally it was but pepper? No. And more sweet than sour. Food was the best takeout Chinese I've had since I've been in Louisville! Yes, it's a hole in the wall, but very clean. My wife and I had the house special fried rice and vegetable lo mein and both were fantastic. We will definitely be ordering again and exploring other items on the menu. I visited this restaurant for the first time today during lunch time with my mom. I ordered the sesame chicken combination, my mom ordered pork fried rice and we shared an order of crab Rangoon. The crab Rangoon was delicious the filling was perfectly savory and sweet all at once! I had the sesame chicken combination which was sesame chicken, fried rice, and an egg roll and it was outstanding, the breading was crunchy just how I like it. The fried rice was also really yummy and had a lot of flavor. My mom got an order of pork fried rice and enjoyed it. I don't like egg rolls so my mom ate mine and thought it was good. The food was 4.5 stars but the experience was not great, i would say 3 stars. If I were you I would suggest not to use the bathroom. It was one of the most disgusting bathrooms I've ever been in and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. We were the only people in the restaurant and our conversation was difficult to hear due to the owners excessive volume on personal electronics. Next time I will come in just for take out. read more

Just hit this place up for dinner. Tried a bunch of stuff to get a feel for what they were all about. I'll start out by saying that they are the best Chinese food joint within 5 miles. The egg rolls were delicious but were smaller than most. I didn't care for the wontons. They weren't the worst I've had but nothing to write home about. Crab Rangoons were slightly above average. My fried rice was cooked to perfection, so big props there. (It's mind boggling how many Chinese restaurants can't cook a decent order of fried rice.). All of my entrees were delicious. If I had one complaint about the entrees it would be that I would have preferred more protein and less vegetables. Overall it was a good experience. The food is fairly priced but the place is down right disgusting they have toys strung across the whole dinning area and the lady who took my order is walking around barefoot and climbed on top where they put their food and had her feet all over the table right in front of me and when I confronted her about it she acted like it never happened needless to say I walked right out without any food or a refund will never go there again read more
