Came in to order a meal, saw a pile of meat and wrappers sitting on the counter behind the register. I decided to downgrade from a meal to a smaller choice (eggrolls) while I observed. The lady at the counter took my order, retrieved the uncooked eggrolls from the fridge with her hands, dropped the eggrolls in the oil, took a few more phone orders, and then returned to the pile of meat, filling the wrappers with the pile of meat. Not very tasty, very bland spicy curry chicken that actually was 98% onions!! The white rice was requested, not what I got. Chewy bourbon chicken that had too much sweetness and too much chew as a result of tough meat. They were to give us the fried wonton ordered and we got wonton soup. All were delicious, hot and freshly prepared. This is possibly the best Chinese we've had in the area. The sauce is amazing. Certainly the best Chinese ribs anywhere in Indiana. Ordered beef Lo Mein. TERRIBLE. I got take out and when I got it home, first couldn't find the beef. Didn't know that beef and lo mein noodles are the same color. Once I searched and found a piece , the first was just fat, the second was so tough I could not eat it. Tasted like gristle. They even even told I called they informed me I could bring it back. So I did so. Then they insisted that I received what i ordered and refused to refund after they told me to make the drive back to the restaurant. Also ordered crab ragoon that was cold. The sweet and sour sauce was so watered down that you could taste the water. I am convinced what was on my lo mein was meatless or maybe roadkill. They said the chef says it's right so too bad. So they told me to bring it back, refused to make it right thru AND refused to remake the dish. At this point the food is terrible. I challenged the customer service. Haven't even complained about the 100% price increase with decreased quantity. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years! I Will NEVER go back and they said "we're fine with that." read more

Georgetown is a small town in southern Indiana. There are not many choices to grab a bite to eat. I was pleasantly surprised when I found China one. I would say restaurant is more suited for Carry out but there are a few tables. Service was fast and the food was descent. It was not outstanding nor was it bad. I was pleasantly surprised to find a place where I could get a tofu dish in southern Indiana. What a great find for a vegan visiting friends in a very rural area. The dish was pretty standard. Pre-bought sauces, fry the food up, drop on some steamed broccoli, and pour the sauce on. This was actually the best food I had in the area. read more

Been getting food from this place for years now. Nothing special, just decent Chinese food. They have recently raised their prices by a significant amount. It's already a long drive for me to go there and with the 30 to 35 percent increase in prices I may not be eating there as often. This place is good but you really need to catch it on the right day....which is difficult. This used to be our FAVORITE Chinese food place in the area because everything was hot, fresh, and tasted good. The portions are large. The menu is basically the same menu that most Chinese food places have. The place also seems very clean. You can see them making your food in the back. They do have tables inside, but I've never seen anyone actually eat there, I personally think it's a bit loud, and the ambiance isn't that of your typical sit-down restaurant. The reason I say that you have to catch them on a good day is that there are days where EVERYTHING you order tastes REALLY fresh. You can tell it's just been made. Then there are days, when the food they serve you tastes like it's been sitting leftover in your fridge for a couple of days and has been warmed up. If you catch them on a good day, you'll be happy, but on a bad day...you'll be upset. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to determine a pattern, so take your chances! read more

Simply the only choice for Chinese outside the Louisville Metro area. Family owned reasonable priced. Up and down the menu they work hard and do a good job. If you are looking to dine in you would need to go down the hill in New Albany to China Bistro for the 2nd best Chinese in the area, strickly carry out. Don't bother to go anywhere in Corydon they are all bad. So if you are looking for some good carry out American style Chinese there is no place better in South Central Indiana. China One is my choice when I need something fast and healthy. They make very tasty steamed food (no sauce) or they will fix whatever you want however you'd like it. Sometimes I order the shrimp and mixed veggies cooked only with oil and garlic and chilies and they get it just right every time. An order of fried shrimp (5 bucks and change) are plenty to share.
