Food is better than most I have had in the area and the delivery is usually pretty fast.

got large pork fried rice to go - literally 3 specks of pork - 1 fleck of onion - rest was overcooked very dry rice. Too far to drive back - so disappointed. Will have to remember to never go here again. Be warned. read more

Food is very mid, and the service and delivery times range wildly. I will not be spending another dime there. I ordered my food on their website. After almost 2 hours I contacted the manager to cancel my order. He said he never got it and explained the website is ran by a third party. He gave me a number to contact them. I did and it went straight to voicemail 5 times. I called the manager back and he refused to help an any way and wouldn't return my money or give me the order. He acted as if it was my problem. As far as ambience, it's the size of a gas station and I've never seen anyone eat inside. Mostly just people they know. So 0 on the ambience. read more

Good food hot and fresh! I never do delivery cause they are so close to me. So I cut out the middle man.

Ideally, I'd give this place 3.5 stars, or maybe 3.75. Overall, the food is pretty great - I grew up on the East Coast with a lot of ethnic Chinese places and this place can go toe-to-toe with a lot of them! I must have gotten takeout from these guys once a week at some point, and I try to grab some whenever I am down in the Jeffersonville area. That being said, this is NOT a place you can sit down and eat at - it's strictly a takeout joint. They have a couple of ratty chairs and tables there, but I wouldn't even entertain the idea. Best to just order your food, get it delivered or pick it up, and go on with your day. That's primarily the reason for the one-ish star deduction. Overall, great food, but keep it to takeout and you'll be really pleased. read more

Just ordered $60 worth food...omg. Everything was great. Large hot and sour soup is the best in Jeffersonville. Crab ragoons are good and fresh. Combo general tso is good. You get rice and an eggroll. Mixed veggies with garlic sauce is a must! And you can mix the veggies with other items you order. Mongolian beef extra hot and spicey has my nose running...in a good way. But i wish they added more beef. Its mostly onions. Beef and veggies has great taste and plenty of beef. House lo mein is wonderful. Everyone can share that. They delivered it in a timely manner and driver was friendly. They pack these large orders a box. Nothing spilled. Packed perfect. Worth ordering everytime! read more

I used to love coming here but the last three times, ordering the same food I always do, afterwards I've been sick with diarrhea. I got a bad craving for Chinese last night, my husband who doesn't ever eat here, went and got my fave dish (chicken sweet and sour) and picked out Mongolian beef for himself. The dishes tasted excellent, as I would have expected, and I am including pictures in this review, both dishes included egg rolls but my husband didn't eat his. I took two bites from mine and passed, it was slimy and not fresh at all. About 6 hours later he got sick and I did shortly after. If this one was one time, I would give it a pass and think it was stomach bug, but we've been working different shifts and only eating at home and this was the first time we had food together in a week; but its the third time I've gotten sick from here. I wish Indiana had food grade laws like Kentucky does. read more

I will start out by saying that the only thing I'm ever picky about is Chinese food. It's hard to find places that I really like. China Taste is a super small place. Very few chairs to sit in. That's how you know it's going to be good. I love this place! The combo I get is general tsao chicken with fried rice and it comes with an egg roll. All for $8. They give you so much food, which is awesome, because who doesn't like leftover Chinese food? You can get two meals out of it at least. Also, it may be crazy, but I love the containers they serve them in because they're reusable and they're the perfect size. Love their crab rangoon as well. And they deliver! read more

China Taste - General Tsao with pork fried rice special. $8 for this and an egg roll. Enough food for two meals! - Chinese Near Me - Jeffersonville, Indiana

I'm pretty happy with the quality and portion they have! And they deliver to my area. We ordered Singapore Chow Mei Fun and Mongolian Beef for Tuesday dinner. It was middle of dinner time, we had to wait an hour but we didn't mind that. If you are really hungry already when you order it could be a minus so keep it in your mind ;) Anyways they actually came before the time they told me. Like other Yelpers mentioned, the containers are nice. I definitely will try again! I confirmed that they don't use MSG. read more

Received a menu from China Taste in the mail. Starred at it for 2 days and finally decided to order some delivery. (So happy that they deliver to my address as no other Chinese Restaurants around have delivery.) delivery time was estimated at an hour. Actually took about 35 minutes. We ordered fried wontons, chicken on a stick, and 2 combos- 'General Tso's' and a 'Chicken and Broccoli' The Fried Wontons were amazing. Decent amount of stuffing and not over cooked or too crispy The chicken on a stick... let me tell you how amazed I was with how much meat was on each stick. This item alone is why I am switching new favorite Chinese places. Only thing that I didn't like was that there was a lot of grease and the bag ripped when I tired to take it out of the bag. Now onto the the combo meals. An entree with pork fried rice and an egg roll. My husband ordered his General Tso extra spicy. They wrote on the lid "spicy" but my husband didn't think it was spicy. (But he is also picky) but he said it did have good flavor My chicken and broccoli combo was good. Chicken was tender, broccoli was cooked perfectly. The egg rolls with the combo are fantastic. My 1 year old daughter ate a whole one herself. 5/5 will order again. New Chinese go-to!! read more

We are from out of town and we are staying at a near by campground they told us our order would be to us in 35-40 minutes it's now been over and 1 1/2 hours for a place that's only 6 minutes down the street. I called them twice and the first time the girl I talked to said it was on its way and that was right at the 1 hour point. Then I call again at the 1 hour and 30 minute point and the same girl was very rude to me. She said didn't I tell you it was on its way already. I said ya like an hour ago lol. Then she said I'm not going to tell you again it's on its way and I started to talk and she hung up on me. It's going on almost 2 hours now. Well we got the food finally after lil over 2 hours but you could tell it was microwaved the wontons are about a week old and was very tainted meat. The fried noodles were stale. The chicken lo mein was ok for being microwaved. The fried rice is not fried rice it's yellow chicken flavored rice. Everything tasted like it was bought in the freezer section at the grocery store and then microwaved two or three times. We couldn't eat it. My dog didn't even want any of it. So I will go there in the morning and bring all of it back. I may go to jail but I'm getting our money back read more

I was staying in town at a bed and breakfast and was really tired one night and just wanted something hot and delivered. I was hesitant to order from here because of reviews but I find the one star reviews very inaccurate. I ordered egg drop soup, steamed chicken, and pork fried rice. Everything was great and as expected. Mind you I have eaten dim sum in San Francisco and am very pick about how my egg drop soup is made and items cooked. The soup was great flavor wise and had a great amount of egg in it. The steamed chicken was great and flavor and a great portion. The rice and pork fried rice were above average. I travel frequently and really have no complaints. I thought the quality and taste were great. I also had no stomach issues which I sometimes do after eating chinese. BONUS: Delivery guy was early, nice, and polite! RARE! read more

I grab lunch from China Taste once every month or two because it's across the quad from work. I don't eat out a ton and it breaks up the monotony of fast food. I typically get pork fried rice and it's good, standard fried rice. One of my go to's at Chinese restaurants is steamed dumplings. I've given them a couple tries here and I don't recommend them at all. They have a rubbery consistency. Today I ventured away from my norm and got pork with Chinese veggies, fried rice and an egg roll. The meat was chewy, the veggies were not plentiful and the egg roll was oily instead of crispy. I've also been incredibly thirsty since lunch so I strongly suspect MSG. I think I'll have to stick with my usual from now on. It's cheap and satisfying and apparently a safe choice. Nothing else has been up to par. read more

I love love love this place for lunch delivery! The lady that answers the phone can be a little short at times, but it only makes it more comical when you get off the phone with her. The delivery drivers are always smiling and very nice. I always get the sweet and sour chicken with Lo Mein noodle substitution and I have never had an issue. The portions are so large that I can usually count on left overs for my dinner also. The to-go boxes are always stuffed full. read more

As an avid lover of Chinese food and one who works on the border of Clarksville and Jeffersonville, Ind. there aren't a whole lot of places that deliver over here due to the location. Luckily China Taste does. I've generally had pretty decent experiences with them as I get one of five things each time I call. The reason why I've given it a 3 star over a 4 or 5 is because sometimes things get lost and it's all fun and games until I don't have my order of crab rangoon. Did I need to eat all 8 of them in an 8 hour shift? NO! But I still like to have them when I give myself a little cheat day. If you call and complain about the food then they generally won't do anything to credit you back for it so sometimes it can be a crap shoot ordering from them. The food is OK, not the worst Chinese food I've ever had but certain not the worst. On the rare occasion like I said something may be missing but that may have been because of a bad phone connection or the person taking your order on the phone was writing too fast and didn't get it written down. Understandable, IMO. It deserves three stars and I'm obviously not going to stop ordering from them anytime soon because while it's mediocre it fills that need for a lot of Chinese food for a decent price. read more

The service was brisk, the price was right, and the food was pretty darn good. Exactly what I'm looking for in a take-out Chinese place. We had three lunch specials ($5.50 each): * General Tsos * Mongolian Beef * Beef & Broccoli all came w/ pork fried rice and all were delicious. I just ate a P.F. Chang's for the first time two days ago. I can honestly say that the food we ordered from China Taste had better flavor. My whole family enjoyed the meal and we will be going back, Lord willing. read more

It's less than average Chinese plaza-style food. I ordered the vegetable soup, which is composed of 70% broth and a few veggies thrown in. Carrots, broccoli, cabbage (or maybe it was onion?) and water chestnuts. I asked if they would add chicken or tofu or something to the soup, but they would not add it in. Worst of all, I found a food in my hair. They REALLY need to utilize hygiene precautions here! The plus side is that they cook your food quickly. And while other reviews said the lady at the front that answered phones is mean, I found every one, and especially her, to be very polite. read more

I love that they deliver! This is the only place we get Chinese food from. It's so good and priced fairly.

Food is hot and good with large portions. Great value for your money. The inside is a bit sketchy - large cardboard boxes and stacks of 2 liters. If your looking for a nice sit down place look else where. The building is dirty and no where near pleasant to be in. The customer service has never been anything to want more of, but tonight the service was worse than usual and the food was barely edible. There prices are too high for the levels of poor set and poor food. The fried rice tasted like cigarette smoke and the chicken was hard as a rock. And there is no use calling or complaining because they don't give refunds for anything. I only give two stars because in the past the food is usually good. After tonight I won't be going back. read more

Update:My sister in law has been getting China Taste on Fridays so I asked her to pick some up on Friday for me and it was delicious!!! So happy it was back on point! We used to love getting China Taste to go on nights we wanted to stay in but didn't want to cook. We had been going to a different place and decided to try China Taste again.....bad choice. The food was not warm(we literally live around the corner so we were there in time!) and the flavors were not good. The fried rice has no eggs or vegetables and was very bland. We know there was an egg issue but it had not flavor! I'm not sure we will be back! read more

Just passing through town and ordered delivery to the hotel for lunch. (Heads up-if you're ordering delivery to a hotel, it's cash only.) I ordered the sesame chicken lunch special which comes with pork fried rice and an order (8) of crab rangoon. Food was delivered freshly made and piping hot. Portion filled the take out box all the way up. Definitely enough rice for 2 people. Taste was average, but what had me give it 4 stars was that the restaurant included duck sauce, sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce, and a couple fortune cookies without me asking for it. Delivery was fast. Food was promised in 45 minutes but arrived in 30. Decent food, fast, and cheap. Would order from them again. read more
