After almost 2 hours I contacted the manager to cancel my order. He said he never got it and explained the website is ran by a third party. He gave me a number to contact them. Ideally, I'd give this place 3.5 stars, or maybe 3.75. Overall, the food is pretty great - I grew up on the East Coast with a lot of ethnic Chinese places and this place can go toe-to-toe with a lot of them! I must have gotten takeout from these guys once a week at some point, and I try to grab some whenever I am down in the Jeffersonville area. That being said, this is NOT a place you can sit down and eat at - it's strictly a takeout joint. They have a couple of ratty chairs and tables there, but I wouldn't even entertain the idea. Best to just order your food, get it delivered or pick it up, and go on with your day. That's primarily the reason for the one-ish star deduction. I used to love coming here but the last three times, ordering the same food I always do, afterwards I've been sick with diarrhea. I got a bad craving for Chinese last night, my husband who doesn't ever eat here, went and got my fave dish (chicken sweet and sour) and picked out Mongolian beef for himself. The dishes tasted excellent, as I would have expected, and I am including pictures in this review, both dishes included egg rolls but my husband didn't eat his. I took two bites from mine and passed, it was slimy and not fresh at all. About 6 hours later he got sick and I did shortly after. If this one was one time, I would give it a pass and think it was stomach bug, but we've been working different shifts and only eating at home and this was the first time we had food together in a week; but its the third time I've gotten sick from here. I will start out by saying that the only thing I'm ever picky about is Chinese food. It's hard to find places that I really like. China Taste is a super small place. Very few chairs to sit in. That's how you know it's going to be good. I love this place! The combo I get is general tsao chicken with fried rice and it comes with an egg roll. All for $8. They give you so much food, which is awesome, because who doesn't like leftover Chinese food? You can get two meals out of it at least. Also, it may be crazy, but I love the containers they serve them in because they're reusable and they're the perfect size. Love their crab rangoon as well. And they deliver! read more

Received a menu from China Taste in the mail. Starred at it for 2 days and finally decided to order some delivery. (So happy that they deliver to my address as no other Chinese Restaurants around have delivery.) delivery time was estimated at an hour. Actually took about 35 minutes. We ordered fried wontons, chicken on a stick, and 2 combos- 'General Tso's' and a 'Chicken and Broccoli' The Fried Wontons were amazing. Decent amount of stuffing and not over cooked or too crispy The chicken on a stick... let me tell you how amazed I was with how much meat was on each stick. This item alone is why I am switching new favorite Chinese places. Only thing that I didn't like was that there was a lot of grease and the bag ripped when I tired to take it out of the bag. Now onto the the combo meals. An entree with pork fried rice and an egg roll. My husband ordered his General Tso extra spicy. They wrote on the lid "spicy" but my husband didn't think it was spicy. We are from out of town and we are staying at a near by campground they told us our order would be to us in 35-40 minutes it's now been over and 1 1/2 hours for a place that's only 6 minutes down the street. I called them twice and the first time the girl I talked to said it was on its way and that was right at the 1 hour point. Then I call again at the 1 hour and 30 minute point and the same girl was very rude to me. She said didn't I tell you it was on its way already. I said ya like an hour ago lol. Then she said I'm not going to tell you again it's on its way and I started to talk and she hung up on me. It's going on almost 2 hours now. Well we got the food finally after lil over 2 hours but you could tell it was microwaved the wontons are about a week old and was very tainted meat. The fried noodles were stale. The chicken lo mein was ok for being microwaved. The fried rice is not fried rice it's yellow chicken flavored rice. Everything tasted like it was bought in the freezer section at the grocery store and then microwaved two or three times. We couldn't eat it. My dog didn't even want any of it. I was staying in town at a bed and breakfast and was really tired one night and just wanted something hot and delivered. I was hesitant to order from here because of reviews but I find the one star reviews very inaccurate. I ordered egg drop soup, steamed chicken, and pork fried rice. Everything was great and as expected. Mind you I have eaten dim sum in San Francisco and am very pick about how my egg drop soup is made and items cooked. The soup was great flavor wise and had a great amount of egg in it. The steamed chicken was great and flavor and a great portion. The rice and pork fried rice were above average. I travel frequently and really have no complaints. I thought the quality and taste were great. I also had no stomach issues which I sometimes do after eating chinese. I grab lunch from China Taste once every month or two because it's across the quad from work. I don't eat out a ton and it breaks up the monotony of fast food. I typically get pork fried rice and it's good, standard fried rice. One of my go to's at Chinese restaurants is steamed dumplings. I've given them a couple tries here and I don't recommend them at all. They have a rubbery consistency. Today I ventured away from my norm and got pork with Chinese veggies, fried rice and an egg roll. The meat was chewy, the veggies were not plentiful and the egg roll was oily instead of crispy. I've also been incredibly thirsty since lunch so I strongly suspect MSG. I think I'll have to stick with my usual from now on. It's cheap and satisfying and apparently a safe choice. As an avid lover of Chinese food and one who works on the border of Clarksville and Jeffersonville, Ind. there aren't a whole lot of places that deliver over here due to the location. Luckily China Taste does. I've generally had pretty decent experiences with them as I get one of five things each time I call. The reason why I've given it a 3 star over a 4 or 5 is because sometimes things get lost and it's all fun and games until I don't have my order of crab rangoon. Did I need to eat all 8 of them in an 8 hour shift? NO! But I still like to have them when I give myself a little cheat day. If you call and complain about the food then they generally won't do anything to credit you back for it so sometimes it can be a crap shoot ordering from them. The food is OK, not the worst Chinese food I've ever had but certain not the worst. On the rare occasion like I said something may be missing but that may have been because of a bad phone connection or the person taking your order on the phone was writing too fast and didn't get it written down. Understandable, IMO. It deserves three stars and I'm obviously not going to stop ordering from them anytime soon because while it's mediocre it fills that need for a lot of Chinese food for a decent price. read more

It's less than average Chinese plaza-style food. I ordered the vegetable soup, which is composed of 70% broth and a few veggies thrown in. Carrots, broccoli, cabbage (or maybe it was onion?) and water chestnuts. I asked if they would add chicken or tofu or something to the soup, but they would not add it in. Worst of all, I found a food in my hair. They REALLY need to utilize hygiene precautions here! The plus side is that they cook your food quickly. The customer service has never been anything to want more of, but tonight the service was worse than usual and the food was barely edible. Taste was average, but what had me give it 4 stars was that the restaurant included duck sauce, sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce, and a couple fortune cookies without me asking for it.
