Just last week I visited the Michelin Bib Gourmet recommended Sichuan restaurant in Memphis and trust me this one is even better than that. The menu starts with a stereotypical american Chinese menu but pass those pages and you will the real deal - the authentic Sichuan menu is so well curated. Each dish looks tempting. The Sichuan cucumber salad and Sichuan jelly were so refreshing. Dont miss the dry hotpot section; highly recommend!! The drinks menu is limited to bottles beers and soft drinks. Family dinners are available as well. I enjoyed my flavorful wonton soup, ate plenty of sweet and sour chicken, took bites of the Mongolian beef, and sampled most of the dishes around the table. I will never come back to this place…read more Let me start by saying I used to love this restaurant. It was one of our favorite. But now, it's on our list to never eat here again. It started with me placing an online order. This is new on their website while I was looking at the menu. I figured this would be best than calling the restaurant. How I was so wrong. I placed it with a 30 minute window. Ordered at 4:44 to be pick up at 5:14pm. I showed up to the restaurant at 5:03pm. There was about 4 other people at the counter. One person just placed their order, another person said her mom called to place the order but wasn't sure when it would be ready. They told everyone 20 min. I showed my ordered and they were going to be me 20 minute. I said I placed my order 20 minutes ago. Ok so I waited... Another lady came in and said that she placed her order around the same time online. Her order number was 140 and she had a long receipt with quite a lot of items. My order was 148, somehow. By the time I asked what's going on with my order at 5:15, they said they go by the order number and they're on 138. I don't think they processed my order until I arrived at 5:03pm. It took until 5:39pm before I receive the order in my hand. I only had very few items, one of which was an order for combination lo mein, plain mantou, shrimp tofu and wonton noodle soup. Mind blowing because I paid $50. The online system also charge a $1 fee, which I did not know about until I saw the receipt. Which would had been fine if my order was done in the time it was promised. Now, the staff was not the most friendly either... the person that handed me the bag almost dropped it because she put it in my hand, didn't say a word and turned and walked away. They cannot be any more rude than that. I was sweating profusely and shaking while waiting for a very long time while I am pregnant and nauseous. Now here's the review for the food. It was not good. We have had some on and off with their food and we haven't been back for a while so I wanted to give them another chance. But their lo mein was soo salty, and they used pad thai noodles. The wonton noodle soup was small container, so bland, literally no flavors, and the wonton tasted so bad. They put really hot tofu that was deep fried in styrofoam container that it put a hole through the container. So my paper bag was soaked and wet within the 6 minutes drive home. The mantou was so tiny for $4.5. Not worth it. All in all, the 4 items that I ordered did not worth the $50 for almost an hour wait, not worth my time or money. I wouldn't have eaten the food if I didn't already paid. Had I not already paid online, I would just had left.

It offers many familiar food options to eat at a reasonable price, costing $20 for all-you-can-eat. These foods include General Tso's chicken, vegetables/fruits, and even pizza. The crunching sound of their food makes it all so much better. Along with the amazing healthy food choices, they have a huge lineup of desserts to choose from, ranging from Jell-O to coffee cake and ice cream. This can be good for picky eaters. This restaurant has a very relaxed and simple vibe with dimmed lights and fancier designs within the interior. The service works very fast on drinks and checks. It is a very good spot to eat for a big or small family get-together, considering the large seating arrangements. The staff replaces food periodically, so it's fresh and good for anyone dining in. The savory sauce they give pairs well with the egg rolls they make. You can eat there on your own time as well. If you are in a rush and want a nice plate of food that is not greasy fast food, then China One is your go-to. They are very clean and replace plates and utensils a lot. If you go during the peak lunch or dinner hours while the place is busy, then your dishes are constantly being replaced so that you can have a fresh meal. They serve Pepsi products and teas or water while being generous with refilling your drinks and clearing any empty plates off the table to get out of your way. The dining area is very spacious and quiet, being very reliable to many people that are out in town. China One really shows what a good casual spot should be: easy and affordable. Stop during peak hours to get the hottest foods that deliver a quick and satisfying meal that will not break the bank. If you are ever out and near your closest China One Buffet, be sure to swing by and grab a meal.

It's summer and sizzly hot and electrical issues happen. We deal. This would easily have been overlooked if the service or the food had compensated. But our server could not have cared less about us and was aloof and cold, expressionless. Took forever to come to our table and barely checked on us the entire meal. Then, after waiting an eternity, we were both brought the wrong food. Yes, we each were served the wrong dish. We both had ordered scallops and we both got sashimi. We were so hungry that we simply went ahead and ate it so that we could get out of that place. Indifferent waiters do not HEAR well, apparently. I likely won't be back. There are simply too many other good sushi places in Louisville. This was more than simply "one bad night" for the restaurant, in my opinion. It was a composite of "yuck."
