I'm not a huge fan of Chinese food, but I have to say the take out here was pretty great. The wonton soup was flavorful unlike many others at these types of quick Chinese restaurants. The orange chicken was also delicious and very tender, which was a pleasant surprise. The lo mein was also good and comes with multiples types of protein. Would definitely order again. read more

I know what I'm (roughly) getting when I visit a place like this. as long as the place is clean, the food is tasty, and there are deals to be had, I'm good. Happy to say this place checks off all boxes. Lunch specials can be had for less than $6 (WITH a drink), and they also have a buffet if that is to your liking. The people are friendly and fast, and the food is tasty. Dining room was kept clean with available open tables, and restroom was also clean. Our portion sizes were more than ample (how do they stay so thin??), and we left with smiles on our faces and satisfied bellies. Makes me wonder what other items are not being cleaned and maintained. Lunch buffett looks good, but I opted for general tsos chicken extra spicy and an egg roll. Easy to miss this place as it's tucked away on the side of Kroger. Really mad at myself for not having seen it sooner. Probably one of the best Chinese places around. Walking in the atmosphere is the same as every other place but the proof is in the pudding. We ordered chicken fried rice, fried wontons, General Tso's chicken, and a beef and broccoli combo. The rice was out of this world. I even ate half of the box of sticky rice that's how good even the plain rice was. Everything was flavorful and tasted fresh. The flavor of the broccoli in my GT chicken was a welcoming fresh flavor profile. My husband and I were very happy and have found our new go to. Highly recommend. read more

Usually this is decent Chinese food for the price, but on 6/4/21 they weren't at their best. My order took longer than expected, and they forgot our crab Rangoon. The worst was that everyone got sick afterwards. I suggest if the owners see this review, that they deep clean the kitchen, assure the ingredients are fresh, and that everyone's hands are washed. I have eaten at this place several times. This review is because of the rude staff and the fact of the interaction with them and the terrible food. Today I ordered the lunch buffet at 1 o'clock with the knowledge that the buffet would be open for another hour. When I asked the staff if they were going to put any more food out (because the food that was out was several hours old) they said no we will not. So next I asked if I could just apply my purchase toward a lunch menu item and he said no you ordered off the Buffett you must eat the buffet. I then said it looks gross and he said you bought it you eat it. I love this place for carry out. Eat in atmosphere is terrible so get it to go. I love hot and sour soup and theirs is one of my local favorites. I've never tried beef dishes but have had many of the chicken and shrimp offerings. The food is consistently good. Carry out containers have very large portions so good value. This is the worst Chinese food I've ever had bar none. I really dislike blanket statements, but I do feel compelled to state this due to how bad everything we ordered truly was. We usually got o a much better place in La Grange called Chen Garden, but since I was in the area I thought I'd try this place out. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, two egg rolls, General Tso's chicken, and garlic chicken. The meat in every dish was fried within an inch of its life and completely drenched in grease. This also goes for the tasteless egg rolls which barely had anything in them. The sauces were pure oil and again barely edible. The prices were at least two dollars higher per dish than our usual place and the food was excruciating. For $30, we could have done better at White Castles which at least is fresh. The crab Rangoon had a lot more crab in it than I really like, which I won't fault them for that, it's just not my preference. I however didn't find any meat or anything really other than cabbage inside my egg rolls. My vegetable fried rice was ok. Good ratio of vegetables to rice, however there was a hint of Rosemary lingering in it. Which not only is probably my least liked spice, but has no business being in fried rice. Very confused.
