Kindness and cleanliness. Ramen with Bulgogi over there is FANTASTIC!!! These are the words that come to mind when I think of this restaurant. And the taste of the restaurant is simple but delicious. Red pepper paste sauce (Go Chu Jang) is a unique taste that is different from other restaurants/markets. I wish there is this restaurant in the Louisville area. If you like Korean food, I recommend you visit this place.

My BFF and I decided to try after several high recommendations. I've never had Korean and did not know what to get or ask for. The lady working the counter and what I assume is chef or owner, were so helpful and explained everything to us. I got the Donkagtsu which is fried tenderloin, with rice and salad. She got the ramen and said it was amazing. We also tried Boba tea which was a first for me, and I was amazing that I liked the tapioca balls in it. I got the strawberry which is very much like Strawberry quick and she said the honey melon taste like you think and was delish! We definitely plan on coming back! Seriously friendly service!

As a fan of Asian food I'm always looking to try a new restaurant and as I haven't been to many Korean restaurants I decided, after hearing many great things, to stop in to Kim & Bab in New Albany. Kim & Bab offers a menu of 13 different meals all ranging from various dishes involving beef, pork or chicken some paired with noodles or seaweed. I decided to try on this visit their Dak-Kangjung which is fried marinated boneless chicken with their sweet soy sauce and some white rice on the side. You have a choice of a small, medium or large and since I was rather hungry on this trip I decided to go with the large. The large portion offers around 14 pieces of boneless chicken topped with sweet soy sauce or your choice of spicy hot sauce. The chicken was crispy but delicious and went well with the white rice. I also ordered for a drink their mango boba with strawberry popping bubbles. Everything tasted rather delicious but not as tasty as I hoped for. The chicken was well cooked however the rice tasted a bit cold. The environment here is a very casual one with some k-pop music playing on a TV. Lots of places to sit and you order at the counter. They wouldn't let me try one of the sauces as I was told they would charge me just to try a sample which I've never had a restaurant do before and I found that odd as how is someone supposed to know if they will like it or not. While I do recommend coming here this is not the place I'll be going out of my way to come back at eat at. The offerings and the food was tasty but not as good as I'd hoped and I wasn't pleased at all with the rice being a bit cold nor being told I'd be charged just to try a sample of one of their sauces.

Kind of disappointed this time around. Came on a Thursday night 7pm and they ran out of bibimbap. And the owner was kinda rude to the cashier when the cashier was taking my order, when the owner interrupted her to tell her they had run out. I ordered their galbi and rice and Kim-Mari instead since I was already there, standing at the register. They do cook very well and the meat was tender and flavorful. I would have given 4 stars except for the off putting service and lack of their popular entree during dinner time.

Always delicious! Always trying something new each visit, the owner is kind and knowledgeable with sharing information and recommendations. Clean small area off the main road worthy of a visit. The offer Boboa Tea and soft drinks. Order is taken at the counter. The items are listed on the overhead menu board-some spicey. All is recommended.

We are creatures of habit, I got the lunch special dack-kang-Jung chicken with rice and a drink. Chicken was fried with a light coating and tossed in a sweet soy sauce. I ordered the medium and have half of it to take home. My husband and daughter got the bimbapp with bulgogi. They described it as lightly spiced, refreshing and filling carrots cucumbers onions and more on a bed of rice top with a fresh fried egg. Service is friendly and the restaurant is very clean.

Bibimbap was very disappointing with watered down Gochujang that the only thing I could taste was sugar. It was so watery it left a puddle of liquid on the bottom. Too skimpy on ingredients and too little rice. And bean sprouts should be one of the top main ingredients but was missing. Never seen cabbage in bibimbap. And a roll of kimbap with no special ingredients was $7. Way overpriced and quite disappointing. Perhaps other entrees were better at this restaurant but I wasn't impressed with two of the most basic and popular Korean dishes.

Mild ramyun with egg. Delicious without the egg, too.

Consistently good, inexpensive, flavorful food. The ramyun is on point, and so is the bibimbap. Be careful ordering your food as spicy, though--it'll light your mouth up. Try the kimmarie. They're bite-sized fried glass noodles wrapped in nori. Delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We were greeted and seated pretty quickly so service was nice. It was our first time and I was a bit overwhelmed with trying to figure things out. He kept saying "anything else" and I'm like I didn't even get a full look at the offerings. When they started bringing the food out I got busy cooking so SORRY no pics of food. I will say the beef and chicken bulgogi were delish, wasn't a fan at all of short rib wayyyy gristle and fat to meat ratio was 90/10. But everything else tasted great. Now the sauces. They had recipes to make sauces but most of them weren't available. But overall I'd return and I do recommend!

Even after asking for a manager to quickly resolve the situation- we were refused. Very poor customer service. We stopped here at 730 on a Thursday-we were seated within a few minutes. Place appeared clean and not overly crowded. Ordered drinks and waited 10 minutes for drinks and to begin the ordering of food. The host places a paper liner on the grill and oiled it - said we had to keep it on and she would change as needed- it started burning prior To getting food, we asked to change prior to eating and she never did. Our first set of food took 15 minutes, as other tables around got their food after being seated after us. Only 1/2 the order was received- we got shaved chicken, small shaved steak, pineapple, zucchini.- mind you we were a party of 3. Paper still burning and peeled off on food. Fried rice had a weird sweet corn flavor which did not pair well with the food. Over 20 more minutes host had yet to get another order as she helped tables all around us- we were out of drinks and missing food items. Dishes were also piled up as other tables had staff clearing theirs ours remained and space is tight as is. We had to ask for manager- some staff came out - we got some food out and then they started just bringing random food. No apologies and for the wait and issues with the grill, small fire and wait times- we will not be back. Much better hot pot places that I will spend our money.

The results were mixed. We did the grill table and had appetizers. The apps were AMAZING! The pot stickers, the salad, the spicy edamame, all yum. The meat for the grill was basted in a wonderful marinade and you had a choice of having the kitchen grill it or doing so at your table. We chose to do it ourselves. The waitress brought us scissors with the meat...! The cuts were really too thick and/or wide and I was wondering why the kitchen would send them out so we would still have to cut raw meat with scissors at the table? Also, the only veggies that came with the meal were chunks of green peppers and a few rings of onions. We had asked about more but those were it. The dessert was shaved something in coconut milk. Not very memorable. They did hold the dairy for our lactose free person so maybe that would have made a difference? Because the apps were so good I'll go back and try their other items, but probably not the grill table.

He explained everything on the menu, giving us recommendations and guidance, and then left us for a bit to think it through. By the time he came back to check in, we were ready to order our whole meal. We started with a complimentary champagne toast for our anniversary...always a lovely touch. Then we had our two cocktails, the wasabi margarita and the lychee martini. Both were so delicious we couldn't choose, and ended up sharing them both entirely. Next came crispy chicken dumplings (that we ate before I could even get a photo) and the amazing ponyu, a thick scallion and vegetable pancake (got a photo of the last slice. We couldn't stop eating it!). For our mains (most of which came home with us, tbh), we ordered the crispy skin snapper with delicious fried rice and the Kalbi beef short ribs from the bbq menu. The bbq comes with 2 sauces and 3 housemade banshan side dishes. Everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. There's nothing on the menu that I don't want to try. We love sharing so that we can taste it all! This will definitely be our anniversary spot...but I don't think I'll wait a year to return.
