Kindness and cleanliness. Ramen with Bulgogi over there is FANTASTIC!!! These are the words that come to mind when I think of this restaurant. And the taste of the restaurant is simple but delicious. Red pepper paste sauce (Go Chu Jang) is a unique taste that is different from other restaurants/markets. I wish there is this restaurant in the Louisville area. If you like Korean food, I recommend you visit this place.

My BFF and I decided to try after several high recommendations. I've never had Korean and did not know what to get or ask for. The lady working the counter and what I assume is chef or owner, were so helpful and explained everything to us. I got the Donkagtsu which is fried tenderloin, with rice and salad. She got the ramen and said it was amazing. We also tried Boba tea which was a first for me, and I was amazing that I liked the tapioca balls in it. I got the strawberry which is very much like Strawberry quick and she said the honey melon taste like you think and was delish! We definitely plan on coming back! Seriously friendly service!

As a fan of Asian food I'm always looking to try a new restaurant and as I haven't been to many Korean restaurants I decided, after hearing many great things, to stop in to Kim & Bab in New Albany. Kim & Bab offers a menu of 13 different meals all ranging from various dishes involving beef, pork or chicken some paired with noodles or seaweed. I decided to try on this visit their Dak-Kangjung which is fried marinated boneless chicken with their sweet soy sauce and some white rice on the side. You have a choice of a small, medium or large and since I was rather hungry on this trip I decided to go with the large. The large portion offers around 14 pieces of boneless chicken topped with sweet soy sauce or your choice of spicy hot sauce. The chicken was crispy but delicious and went well with the white rice. I also ordered for a drink their mango boba with strawberry popping bubbles. Everything tasted rather delicious but not as tasty as I hoped for. The chicken was well cooked however the rice tasted a bit cold. The environment here is a very casual one with some k-pop music playing on a TV. Lots of places to sit and you order at the counter. They wouldn't let me try one of the sauces as I was told they would charge me just to try a sample which I've never had a restaurant do before and I found that odd as how is someone supposed to know if they will like it or not. While I do recommend coming here this is not the place I'll be going out of my way to come back at eat at. The offerings and the food was tasty but not as good as I'd hoped and I wasn't pleased at all with the rice being a bit cold nor being told I'd be charged just to try a sample of one of their sauces.

Always delicious! Always trying something new each visit, the owner is kind and knowledgeable with sharing information and recommendations. Clean small area off the main road worthy of a visit. The offer Boboa Tea and soft drinks. Order is taken at the counter. The items are listed on the overhead menu board-some spicey. All is recommended.

Kind of disappointed this time around. Came on a Thursday night 7pm and they ran out of bibimbap. And the owner was kinda rude to the cashier when the cashier was taking my order, when the owner interrupted her to tell her they had run out. I ordered their galbi and rice and Kim-Mari instead since I was already there, standing at the register. They do cook very well and the meat was tender and flavorful. I would have given 4 stars except for the off putting service and lack of their popular entree during dinner time.

We are creatures of habit, I got the lunch special dack-kang-Jung chicken with rice and a drink. Chicken was fried with a light coating and tossed in a sweet soy sauce. I ordered the medium and have half of it to take home. My husband and daughter got the bimbapp with bulgogi. They described it as lightly spiced, refreshing and filling carrots cucumbers onions and more on a bed of rice top with a fresh fried egg. Service is friendly and the restaurant is very clean.

Bibimbap was very disappointing with watered down Gochujang that the only thing I could taste was sugar. It was so watery it left a puddle of liquid on the bottom. Too skimpy on ingredients and too little rice. And bean sprouts should be one of the top main ingredients but was missing. Never seen cabbage in bibimbap. And a roll of kimbap with no special ingredients was $7. Way overpriced and quite disappointing. Perhaps other entrees were better at this restaurant but I wasn't impressed with two of the most basic and popular Korean dishes.

Mild ramyun with egg. Delicious without the egg, too.

Consistently good, inexpensive, flavorful food. The ramyun is on point, and so is the bibimbap. Be careful ordering your food as spicy, though--it'll light your mouth up. Try the kimmarie. They're bite-sized fried glass noodles wrapped in nori. Delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I had Bibimbab with shrimp and one with chicken. It tasted good but the serving size was too small to really enjoy it.

We had a…read morelovely conversation in which he shared with me not only his travels and training to have a great Thai restaurant, but also his passion to share Thai cuisine with everyone. His passion and care for his craft shows through in his cuisine. Flavorful and fresh, it satisfies the pallet and soothes the soul. I had the fresh spring rolls as an appetizer. The presentation was world class and the rolls were incredibly delicious. A spice tray can be requested and encouraged! Try the different jars and experience the heat your way. I ordered the crispy garlic chicken. A traditional Thai dish, except it's done with his own twists and it's delicious. The garlic and basil were present but not overpowering. The flavor and spice combine for a burst of flavor and richness. The chicken crisp and flavorful without being dried and overdone. The entire meal was fresh and delicious. I finished out my Thai experience with Mango sticky rice. You have to see, and taste, this dessert yo believe it. Every place should have a bit of mystery. This is where I leave one for you. Bottom line, do not miss out on Yummi Thai. It's a good place to eat, right here at home.

They've rearranged tables to the point of an obstacle course to get to a table. And if folks are waiting for take out, you really have to try to avoid them. The new spring rolls don't come close to the originals. (Compare pictures). Prices are up about $2 across the menu. And portions are significantly smaller. Note new, smaller square plates rather than original (larger) round dishes (check the pictures). While mom used to spice the dishes in the back, now they avoid spice and let you mix in your own. A spice tray provides several options. The food, while prepared differently, still tastes fine. But what really stung was the missing home cooking atmosphere. The chef/owner was sitting by the exit and didn't offer so much as a smile or a thank you as we left. That would never happened with the previous owners.

Five stars, no notes. I love this place…read more The staff is so welcoming, funny, and great at what they do. Every time I have a cocktail it is delightfully balanced. I think my cocktail was called the Tokyo Pop? Not positive but you have to get it. Gin, bubbles, sake, and a hint of lemon in a flute glass. Refreshing, a hint of sweet, a hint of lemon, and extremely drinkable. It would be too easy to throw a ton of these back. But I was demure and had one. I enjoyed the calamari--my go-to here. Crispy, with a bit of heat from pickled peppers, a bit a of sweet form a sweet glaze, and a nice herby zing from mint, herbs, and scallions. They also top the calamari with a a nice portion of greens dressed in a lemon vinaigrette, making this appetizer feel close to a light meal. I am absolutely obsessed with the ponzu mayo that comes on the side. An absolutely delightful touch. I also enjoyed the chocolate cream pot. Talk about decadent. I love that it is served with berries, because you need that tartness to balance out the richness. Fully indulgent. Bonus points: I working fireplace. (And holiday decor still up--this never bothers me.) The ambiance is always lovely, with something iconic on the TV always playing. This spot is one of my fave representation of the Louisville food scene.
