Somewhat formulaic, largely Korean-based "fusion" foods. Bibimbap was good, and their sauces are good. Tried a few other items, and their sushi-substitute was deemed...OK. Service was very good. It's a bit expensive here for the Seoul street foods presented. Is it "Asian Fusion"? We thought.... not. Still very good, fresh, good ingredients, and fast thoughtful service. Good.... but will they survive on the tough Bloomington 4th St Restaurant Row? We couldn't decide. It's a tough street. The K-Pop music was OK. It's a good place for a date if you have budget, we decided. read more

After four years in college, I discovered this place a few weeks before graduation. 18 months later and was finally able to come back. We started with the ttuk kko chi which were rice cakes covered in a gochujang sauce. The cakes were crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. The sauce it was in was amazing, balancing the heat from the gochujang with some sweetness. Next, we got the Korean fried chicken (they were out of KFC wings). I remember the sauce being a little more red last time, but it was still good. Super crispy exterior and no excess batter so we just tasted the juicy chicken. The two entrees we got were the spicy chicken and jaeyuk. The spicy chicken was flavorful and tender. Along with the chicken, the veggies were stir fried nicely and coated in the broth. The jaeyuk was a little better with the pork having a great marinade and also being super tender. On top of the food we ordered, we were given a salad, soup, and rice which were all nice accompaniments. This was the meal I was looking forward to the most in my return and it did not disappoint. The only and I mean only thing to change is having bigger napkins on the table. Everything else is great and most importantly all the food is delicious. read more

The food was fantastic! Very spicy but very tasty. The service was very good, but a little weird. My meal came out a full 10 minutes before my husband's. Annoying at the time, but well worth the wait! All the portions we saw were sizable! We sat on the patio which was very pleasant. We'll definitely go back! read more

Came during a weekend lunch. Had to wait a few minutes as the chefs weren't in the kitchen yet? I opted for udon veggie noodles. It was just a-okay. Service was great and food came out quickly. Just didn't hit the taste buds correctly. Lots and lots of menu options and offer lunch specials. read more

this restaurant has had several health violations reported. the last time I ever went there was a take out order for my partner & I and his parents (which for one thing, they failed to give us any rice for our 4 entrees ordered..) The next three days both my partner and I were severely ill with food poisoning- i'm talking complete agony, can't even keep down water- do NOT go here. We are certainly never going here again. read more

One of my favorite places to get bibimbap in bloomington! The service is always a little slow but the staff is super nice and always willing to take time to help answer any questions you might have about the menu! I highly recommend this cute little spot in bloomington! read more

Do Asian Fusion is not a bad restaurant by any means, but it certainly isn't authentic. It's very westernized, and what I mean by that is the options for food you find here are often not found over in South Korea. For instance, this restaurant may add ingredients into some Korean food that would not be added in South Korea. The interior is quite cozy and gives off vibes of a Korean restaurant in Seoul off the street. Cool! I will say though, that while the service is friendly, I've had more than one occasion here where the service has been a bit on the slow side. It's never been a problem for me, but do keep this in mind if you're in a hurry. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but at least the food tastes good, even if it's not actual Korean food. Despite how westernized this place is, I'd come back here again read more

Loved this place a few years ago. Sounds like they got new chefs recently and you can tell. The food was good before and even better now! Great food, and our waitress was fantastic. read more

I ordered the spicy pork dolsot and the seafood pancake. I was wondering why it was a bit pricy but once I got the food and saw the huge portion sizes it made sense. The dolsot was perfect, it had a good amount of different vegetables and the pork was cooked perfectly with a nice slight char flavor. The seafood pancake was also really good, but I prefer it a bit more crispy than it is here. Other than that the flavor of all the food was great and I had enough to have leftovers for lunch the next day! read more

I haven't gone to Do in a while but I remember back in my undergrad days I would go here a lot and it was great! I recently went back and I was so happy that the food was good! I thought the food came out at a reasonable time. I also loved the kpop songs and other casual music too. What I appreciated the most was how kind and attentive the waiters were :) I will definitely be coming back! read more

i came with my 8 friends! the servers asked us to wait 10 minutes as they had to rearrange the tables for us since the restaurant is small. we ordered seafood pancake appetizer which was crispy and delicious! it contained squid, shrimp, and vegetables. i ordered boneless korean fried chicken (kfc) as my entree. i believe it was chicken thigh meat. it was super soft and flavorful!! splitting up the orders was a bit difficult since they didn't provide a printed out, computerized receipt. they took our orders by pen and paper, so it was a bit time consuming to divide up prices. read more

Do is one of the few restaurants that are open late in btown. Their foods were super solid. We ordered budae stew and bibibap this time. Do's Budae stew is like the individual portion of army soup. The stew has ramen and the dish came with rice. Bibibap was good too, but I wish the egg was not fried egg. A little bit runny yolk would make it taste better. read more

Two of the things I highly value in a restaurant are good portion sizes and good taste - this place meets both and is the best local Asian spot I've tried read more

I went to Do on Valentine's Day for the first time and was shocked that I had never been there before. The place itself was smaller and had neon lights, trendy Korean posters, and K-pop playing, all creating a very modern vibe that I loved. The servers were incredibly friendly and the service was amazing. Now... the food. Their kimchi was one of the best that I've had. Their Korean fried chicken (KFC) was like nothing I've ever had before (and it's 20% off right now!). The chicken was incredibly juicy and the sauce was spicy, sticky, and overall just a flavor explosion. Chasing with a sip of Milkis after a massive bite of KFC was the best culinary experience I've had in Bloomington. The bulgogi was one of the better ones that I've had; it was a match made in heaven when combined with their kimchi. For V-day, they had a special for a free honey bread dessert that was very light and mildly sweet. Overall, this place blew my mind and I will be returning very often. This restaurant may be my new BTown favorite and I'll bring anyone that visits to Do. read more

After looking at the pictures on their picture menu I decided that I'd have the JapChe Rice with beef and stir-fry vegetables. My guest had the chicken fried rice. Once we'd given the waitress our order, the took the picture menu away. There's a reason for this. They don't want you to see that picture and do any kind of comparison. Because it's going to be very different from what you get in the dining room. The photo of the dish had a nice portion of beef next to the noodles and the rice. However, what was brought to me had about a tablespoon of beef in it. And the vegetables were buried under the noodles, probably 3 pieces of red pepper, a few pieces of scallion and a few mushrooms and exactly 4 pieces of carrot. That was it. Most of the dish was noodles and rice. The flavor was good and the waitress was nice and efficient, she did a great job. But when a guy wants a beef dish and pays over 12 bucks for it, he would really like to get what was in the picture: BEEF. read more

My favorite place to visit when returning to Bloomington. Robust menu, great offerings, darling inside, best kimchi pancake of my life!

So normally, I really enjoy this place. It's got a nice atmosphere, is open late, has a unique menu, and is one of the few places where you can get soju and umeshu. The -2 stars is because they don't let you eat outside during the pandemic, even though they have a few tables outside and the restaurant is narrow and crowded. I don't know the business reasons for doing so, but it seems like a socially responsible and easy fix! read more

WOWZA!!! Best ramen I've had outside of NYC! If you are in Bloomington this is a must. The service, food and atmosphere is 10/10. I was running late after placing a to-go order and ended up changing to dine-in. The staff were more than accommodating and reheated my food and plates it. They insisted on replacing the Nagasaki Ramen with fresh, but that was way to much to allow. The broth was incredible and you could tell the work and craftsmanship that went into it. The spices were evident. On top of the food the service was exquisite. What started as casual conversation turned into a wonderful discussion with the server. She was so nice and friendly. She won my business every time I end up on 3rd street! read more

This restaurant has some amazing food. I highly recommend getting the Koroke as an appetizer because it is just amazing. The service is a bit slow at times but I think the food and atmosphere makes up for this. The kitchen sends out food when it is done which might be a bit difficult for people used to food arriving all at once but this restaurant prioritizes food being served fresh and hot. They also have a korean beer, Terra, which is amazing and green grape soju! For your first time I recommend trying these foods: Koroke, Korean Fried Chicken, Korean pork belly (Samgyupsal) and the steamed eggs! read more

Terrible service and never put out order in, not a good place. Go somewhere else. Too may other great restaurants that are better.

We got the Nagasaki seafood ramen and the chicken udon noodles. It was quite good! Definitely recommend ordering sides of the spicy sauce as the broth was not spicy at all. If you like heat you definitely need the sauce to kick it up a notch. Wifey got the seafood ramen and she said it was above average to great. I got the udon and it wasn't the best I've ever had but definitely above average and totally satisfactory. Overall 4/5 stars well done dAsian! Will be getting noodles there again for sure. read more

I tried this restaurant for the first time at dinner before Lotus Festival. The appetizers are great and the food looked good, but I didn't like my entree. For appetizers, we had koroke and vegetable tempura. Both were good. The nice server then brought us miso soup and corn salad. The latter was especially good. i ordered Nagasaki ramen and was not impressed. It was essentially a bowl of broth and noodles with precious little of anything that could be called seafood. The mussels were the tough and tasteless type that belong in cheap Chinese buffets floating in water. The squid (that's what i think it was) was like chewing rubber. The service was good. I might try this place again and order something else. read more

Came here with friends for dinner one night. Would be a good place to chill and relax after a lot of studying. Nice low-lighting lounge-like ambience. Out of all the Korean restaurants in town, I would say that Do is among the topic my "to go" places. There's always a lively atmosphere and the feel is cozy. Although, it's hard to get seating during dinner service because the space is small and it's usually packed. The great thing about this place is that it's open late too so coming here to eat and drink is always fun for socials. The kimchi pork belly and Korean fried chicken was amazing - so full of flavor and they did justice on the portion size. Although it's a little bit pricier than other Korean places, I would say it is worth the money! read more

Beef Bulgogi and Fried Rice with Spicy Mayo . This place really opened my eyes to the world of Asian street food. Had the Japchae, which came with white rice and Kimchee pancake. Expensive but big portions. Food was just ok. Japchae noodles were over cooked, white rice was mushy and Kimchee pancake was oily. Maybe my expectations were high but disappointed. Maybe I should have ordered something less authentic like chicken wings or bulgogi which is a little easier to make. read more

The food was ok. I had fried rice that was super mushy and the shrimp weren't very well cleaned. I wouldn't eat from here again.

BAD service and NASTY food, do not go there, if u do not want a fucking ROACH add to your meal. I called their boss(the angry looking women) to talk to me again. the first sentence she said is " What do you want?, I already said sorry(nobody heard her apologize)". Awesome because its open late, and service is always good, but the food quality has never been great. The Nagasaki Ramen here is the best in town, unfortunately, in Bloomington that doesn't really mean much. At that 15$+ it puts itself into the price range of legendary shops like Totto and Orenchi, but in the end it doesn't really match up to the 6$ ramen you get at the food court of a Mitsuwa. On the other hand, their Kimchi jigae is pretty good, as is their soondubu. They call themselves Asian Fusion, but Korean is definitely their forte. I was pretty dissapointed by their korean cold noodles though, the ingredients were stingy, and their sauce wasn't very spicy, but worst of all instead of the noodles you'd typically expect, they used the Chinese style ones you could get a bag of for 1.99$ at a Chinese supermarket. I seem to keep coming back and comparing Do to supermarkets, and sad to say it doesn't really do better. Now that I think about it, the food courts in front of H-Mart have better soondubu than Do does. Ramen: 0/5 Kimchi Jigae: 1/5 Soondubu: 1/5 Cold Noodles: 0/5 Shumai: 0/5 Mentaiko Fries: 2/5 Service:3/5 Diversity: 5/5 Price: $$/$$$$ Satisfaction:Price- 1/5 (+1 because open late, +1 for being in Bloomington) read more

First time trying this place recently and the food and customer service is outstanding! My boys attend school here and my eldest told me about Do. I am very picky about where I eat due to my dietary restrictions. My son who shares the same concern told me there were items in the menu that could be adjusted (no meat/ no dairy). We ordered the sautéed vegetables, rice, pot stickers (tofu), and potatoes cakes! If I'm saying the items correctly. The lady was VERY helpful and understanding about our concerns and made great suggestions. The pricing was more than fair and we had large servings. I was sad to learn business decreased due to Covid, so I'm making sure to tell everyone about this delicious place in Bloomington. In fact, we are driving down today from Indy to order again. read more

I am so glad that I wasted $23 on a dish listed for $12... the manager is not a nice person. She actually called one of my friends an "a**hole" under her breath. On top of the almost 95% price increase on my meal, she also yelled the prices of the menu items that we ordered at us...customers.
