Upon entering, the staff was kind and quickly sat us to our seat and gave us time to order. They have a pretty big menu from Korean to Japanese to Chinese food. It was definitely a fusion place which surprised me a little but I liked the variety. I got the japchae noodles and my boyfriend got the fire cracker chicken which he heard was good. Both were tasty and the portion was big so that made the price very reasonable! This is a cute family restaurant that I'm glad I was able to check out. My party included two adults and three children ages 2-8. Both adults had the Chicken Bibimbap, one gluten-free and one regular, each was superb! Just the right combination of ingredients and sauce. Two children shared the Chicken Stir-Fry Lo Mein and loved it. One child had the Chicken Nuggets kids meal with fries. The fries were so full of oil they were not edible. Like you could literally squeeze the oil from them. I brought this to the attention of the waitress and she advised the manager and they gave us a three dollar discount for the fries. We've eaten here twice and the food is amazing!!! The Korean bibimbap is delicious! I've had the beef, and my daughter has had the fried tofu. My husband ordered some kind of chicken lo mein stir fry that he called "amazing". That is high praise coming from him. The house spicy beef Ramen is very good, as is the miso Ramen. The egg rolls and mochi ice cream are really good. The crab Rangoon is savory instead of sweet, which was a pleasant surprise. The service was excellent both times! Being fairly new to traditional Asian food, we had lots of questions. Our wait staff gladly answered everything. It's nothing fancy, and it's on the small side, but I love that about it! I travel here for work and I looked this place up on Yelp and I did not regret it. The food was amazing not had so much flavor and was cooked so well. The seafood pancake was crunchy on the outside and soft and savory in the inside. There was so much seafood in it. I don't like onions so next time I will ask if they will remove them. It was so rich. The seafood stew was so good. Perfectly spicy for me (I don't like it when it's extra spicy and you can't taste your food). And lots of seafood in it too. This is in my top five favorite restaurants in the area. Rice Bowl is tucked back off the road in an unassuming little building. Parking is in the rear. I've never had a bad meal here. While there are a few standouts on the menu, every single dish that I've tried was delicious and plentiful. My current favorite is (K12) the Rice Bowl Chef Special. Tender, white meat chicken accompanied by a heaping mound of vegetables and mushrooms in a flavorful, spicy sauce and served with a side of steamed rice. It's delicious and filling. Always get a side of kimchi. The Beast and Spawn B are fans of the General Tso's Chicken. The sauce is the star of this dish. It's sweet, spicy, complex. Also served with a side of rice. I try to go during the lull between lunch and dinner because this place stays pretty busy and I don't like crowds. The staff is friendly and attentive. read more

What went well? EVERYTHING- this place is tucked into an old house and pretty inconspicuous but absolutely SERVES. Upon entering you're always greeted warmly and if you're my kids then you join the resident child that comes to work with his momma and while waiting for a table you can enjoy some Cocomelon sing a longs I always order the Stir Fry Lo Mein with chicken and share it with my son while my daughter orders the chicken nuggets and french fries because this place knows what it takes to get a whole family to eat here and my husband will usually get the Pad Thai with chicken. They also have sweet tea that is delicious and their Miso Soup is KILLER. Every time we have had family come to visit us, we bring them straight here and enjoy some lovely times together. I've never felt rushed or hushed by staff and the place is always kept nice and tidy. This is our new family restaurant and we're so glad to have found it. Oh. My. Gosh. This food was delicious. We picked up carry out last week and even after driving over 30 minutes back to our home, the food was still incredible. We ordered the Bulgogi, Tonkatsu, and the shrimp shumai as an appetizer. The Bulgogi was amazing- no complaints at all. The tonkatsu was a bit tough and chewy but the sauce with it was really good. The dumplings were also super good! Our order was ready quickly. Rice Bowl is a Korean restaurant specializing in ramen and rice bowls, BUT.... They have some Chinese dishes that are amazing also. Their General Tso chicken is one of them! The sauce isn't that thick gel like substance you get a lot of places and it actually has onions, carrots, and green pepper in the dish also. The chicken is fried to crispy perfection and I just cant tell you enough about the sauce and how delicious it is.... Hands down the best in southern indiana! Must try! read more

I'm so glad I finally got to try Rice Bowl. My daughter is so picky, but she loved it as did I. I had the spicy beef noodle bowl and I was nervous ordering it because I don't like a lot of spice so I asked if they could make it the least spicy as possible and it wasn't too spicy at all. It was perfect. The meat in both of our dishes (she had Miso Ramen) was so tender and juicy and the vegetables had that perfect crisp when you bit into it. We also tried the pork on a stick just because even though I knew our entrees would be plenty and it was really cool as it came out on a lit little oven that cooked it as it sat there and the pork also had a teriyaki sauce on it. I hate to give a rating this low for a local restaurant, but I honestly feel as though I wasted my money by eating here. Let me be frank- the food, in my opinion, was not very good. I am not a picky eater by any means, but I maybe liked one (or two, if you count the bubble tea) of the three things I got. My coworkers did not like their food either. I got the kimchi fried rice, spicy cucumbers, pork dumplings, and honeydew bubble tea. The only things I actually liked were the bubble tea (which I presume comes powdered) and the spicy cucumbers. The fried rice was bland and the filling of the pork dumplings tasted like breakfast sausage- yuck. The spicy cucumbers were easily the best thing I got. They were vinegary and spicy and super refreshing. Additionally, I feel that the prices are a bit high. I paid almost $10 for my rice, $7 for my dumplings, and $4.50 for my cucumbers. I'm a little sad to have paid that much for food I didn't even enjoy. I would also like to mention that on the menu (and the piece of paper on the glass inside the restaurant) that they have lemonade- there was no mention of pink lemonade at all. However, when I ordered lemonade, I received pink lemonade? I was a little confused and glad I happened to look down into the drink bag before I left. I had to change the drink to a soft drink because the person I ordered the lemonade for did not like pink lemonade. With that being said, I am not going to be back, even for the spicy cucumbers. This is a Chinese run restaurant offering Korean, Japanese and Chinese dishes. The ambiance is basic, the prices are reasonable and the flavor is great. I got the spicy beef ramen and my wife got the bibimbap. Both were delicious. The ramen was probably spicier than typical Japanese and more like Chinese hot beef noodle soup but I love that. The inside of this restaurant is interesting. It looks as though it would be much smaller than it actually is. The interior is decorated well and is a nice enough place. The tea I ordered was absolutely fantastic and the best part of my meal. I ordered the kimchi bibimbop with pork. It was rather lackluster. I have eaten this meal at a lot of different Korean restaurants and I have cooked it as well. The rice bowl was fine but the meal itself was rather bland. I used a LOT of sauce on it in an attempt to add spice or flavor of any sort to it and it just fell short. The egg was also disappointing. It was very overcooked on all of our meals (mine, my husbands, his mother and his sister) We couldnt mix the egg in at all.
