    K13. Firecracker Chicken Dinner

Upon entering, the staff was kind and quickly sat us to our seat and gave us time to order. They have a pretty big menu from Korean to Japanese to Chinese food. It was definitely a fusion place which surprised me a little but I liked the variety. I got the japchae noodles and my boyfriend got the fire cracker chicken which he heard was good. Both were tasty and the portion was big so that made the price very reasonable! This is a cute family restaurant that I'm glad I was able to check out. Definitely a good place for Asian fusion food :)

Menu front, displaying they offer gluten-free options. Yay for me!

Almost past this spot, from the outside it looks like a big old house rather than a restaurant. *** NOTE: Parking in the back is the best option since the ramp to the main entrance leads to the back parking lot. My party included two adults and three children ages 2-8. Both adults had the Chicken Bibimbap, one gluten-free and one regular, each was superb! Just the right combination of ingredients and sauce. Two children shared the Chicken Stir-Fry Lo Mein and loved it. One child had the Chicken Nuggets kids meal with fries. The fries were so full of oil they were not edible. Like you could literally squeeze the oil from them. I brought this to the attention of the waitress and she advised the manager and they gave us a three dollar discount for the fries. Overall, I really enjoyed the place. Just note I would never order fries there again.

Excellent and filling. Large portions for dinner served up quickly and hot. Friendly staff and good choice for some tasty flavorful eats. Parking in the rear so looks like no one there, but they are inside eating. Yum.

    Seafood Pancake - DELICIOUS

I travel here for work and I looked this place up on Yelp and I did not regret it. The food was amazing not had so much flavor and was cooked so well. The seafood pancake was crunchy on the outside and soft and savory in the inside. There was so much seafood in it. I don't like onions so next time I will ask if they will remove them. It was so rich. The seafood stew was so good. Perfectly spicy for me (I don't like it when it's extra spicy and you can't taste your food). And lots of seafood in it too. Both portions are very big.

What went well? EVERYTHING- this place is tucked into an old house and pretty inconspicuous but absolutely SERVES. Upon entering you're always greeted warmly and if you're my kids then you join the resident child that comes to work with his momma and while waiting for a table you can enjoy some Cocomelon sing a longs I always order the Stir Fry Lo Mein with chicken and share it with my son while my daughter orders the chicken nuggets and french fries because this place knows what it takes to get a whole family to eat here and my husband will usually get the Pad Thai with chicken. They also have sweet tea that is delicious and their Miso Soup is KILLER. Every time we have had family come to visit us, we bring them straight here and enjoy some lovely times together. I've never felt rushed or hushed by staff and the place is always kept nice and tidy. This is our new family restaurant and we're so glad to have found it. Also, they're on DoorDash, you're welcome!

Good service and good food. The hot stone bi bum bap is really good. I would stick with the Korean food. The ramen is only mediocre. Not ramen noodles and soup base needs some stepping up. Spicy cucumber appetizer was missing something too. All vinegar and not enough spice. Milk teas are on the watery side.

A family owned spot that seems to cater its taste for Asian foods in Chinese, Korean and Japanese with a bit of Thai. Very home styled recipes very delicious. Worth a try so far. I really like a place that serves quality tea that's a big plus. The bibimbap was ok the hot pot didn't manage to crisp the bottom enough and the egg wasn't runny enough and the pepper paste (Gochujang) was not to be found However it was quite delusions Service 4 stars polite and very helpful Atmosphere 3 stars quaint, a bit dark but quite intimate with a family or friend group. Price: $$$ a bit high Bathrooms 2 stars

I think my cocktail was called the Tokyo Pop? Not positive but you have to get it. Gin, bubbles, sake, and a hint of lemon in a flute glass. Refreshing, a hint of sweet, a hint of lemon, and extremely drinkable. It would be too easy to throw a ton of these back. But I was demure and had one. I enjoyed the calamari--my go-to here. Crispy, with a bit of heat from pickled peppers, a bit a of sweet form a sweet glaze, and a nice herby zing from mint, herbs, and scallions. They also top the calamari with a a nice portion of greens dressed in a lemon vinaigrette, making this appetizer feel close to a light meal. I am absolutely obsessed with the ponzu mayo that comes on the side. An absolutely delightful touch. I also enjoyed the chocolate cream pot. Talk about decadent. I love that it is served with berries, because you need that tartness to balance out the richness. Fully indulgent. Bonus points: I working fireplace. (And holiday decor still up--this never bothers me.) The ambiance is always lovely, with something iconic on the TV always playing. This spot is one of my fave representation of the Louisville food scene.

I was fortunate to be with a large party and we decided to order several dishes and share. Everything was delicious, and the banana flower salad was memorable and we ordered two. Overall, this is a wonderful place that accommodated all of our needs.
