H5. Salt and Pepper Shrimp that needs to be deveined.
    Rich M.

This place COULD be good, but they need to focus on the details. Specifically, I ordered Salt & Pepper shrimp, and it arrived with the shrimp not deveined. This is lazy and a lack of detail. The sesame chicken was advertised as crispy, but arrived soggy and chewy. The sweet and sour chicken and pork fried rice were meh, but not enough to pull a 3 star review. Sadly, the salt and pepper shrimp went straight into the trash.

Hot and sour soup, shrimp egg foo young, egg roll
    Jennie M.

I was looking for Chinese food to celebrate my late grandma's birthday as it was something we frequently ate together. I didn't have the buffet but placed an order online for shrimp egg foo young, shrimp egg rolls, hot and sour soup and a veggie/rice dish. It was easy to order online, and my order was done in about 10 minutes. The woman at the cash register was friendly, asking if I needed chopsticks and giving me lots of extra sauce packets. Everything was still quite hot by the time I got home. Sauces for dishes were packaged separately so nothing got soggy. Portions are large and everything was good. I will go back again for takeout to try some other dishes.

How was there only one vegan review for this amazing cheesecake?…read more I have to admit, I was a little skeptical when my husband read me that lone vegan review, but we walked out the hotel door anyway. Then I was skeptical again when I saw that all the vegan options were also gluten free. That's me throwing shade at gluten free folks. Kidding. I probably should be GF too. Anyway, YES. Fantastic cheesecake. Please give it a try. The peanut butter cup did not disappoint. We also had a drink next door, so no rush back to feast on the cheesecake. (I would post a picture, but the only one I took was for my vegan friends and taken from the bathtub. I also highly recommend eating it in a very hot bathtub, since it comes nearly frozen!)

I am impatient so I waited about 10 and it was a bit firm but definitely full of flavor! Personally this feels like an every once in a while treat because of the price. Definitely worth trying at least once!

As I write this review I see that it is coming up as an updated review as opposed to a new one…read more Back in 2017 for this entry this review was for Immersion Brewing but now my update is for UPP Liquids. I am not sure if it was a name change this brewery went through or but I suspect so. Because if this was a brand new brewery I imagine it would have it's own Yelp entry. But who can say for sure... maybe it was transitional activity that reached to what my review currently pertains to which is UPP Liquids. This is still a brewery and it's a good one. So I am bumping up a star here as I really enjoyed the beer I had by UPP Liquids. The name of the beer was called Pinball Wizard which is an Oatmeal Stout. I do like these kinds of stouts very much as I like the oatmeal that is at play here and what it contributes to the flavor profile. For Pinball izard flavor features in this beer is roastiness, maltiness, a hint of smokiness and a coffee flavor. This hit the spot in every way and it was a joy to drink. Even though these beers are great to have on cold, rainy day the day we had it was a bit more pleasant and still. But despite that it didn't ruin the atmosphere as to when to have this beer at all. It was such an enjoyable beer I rated it quite highly on Untappd which is my beer rater app for each individual beer that I try. So yes, trying out UPP for the first time was quite a positive impression.

It's a walk in sit down spot - you place your order at the counter and they give you a number - decent size for busy food times - so usually plenty of seating. Over the phone ordering was a snap and the dude was super polite and helpful - not rushed. My wife got the traditional breakfast - she loved the local links and flaky biscuit - I think it was peach marmalade - not sure, but it was LEGIT. I got the pozole roja (I think that's the menu name) and - yo, it was the best pozole I've had. The ingredients were plenty, the chicken was tender and flavorful, they put the radishes, cilantro and cabbage on the side for you to add so it's not soggy. Sourdough was so good to dip - mouth is watering writing this. Service th morning we were headed out at 7amish was great also - wife got coffee cake (warmed in their brick oven) and I got two citrus muffins and a sourdough cinnamon roll for later - all were scrumptious and delightful. I would got a half dozen muffins if I knew they were that good before. People were kind and the service is quick. We ate there these two time on $52 dollars - both to-go orders. We will absolutely be back - every time we are near bend, I'll be stopping for pozole for sure! Well done, Jacksons Corner, well done!

Set in an old home, this establishment has become one of Bend's favorite restaurants. The menus have range with breakfast by far being my favorite. The staff is always extremely friendly and I have frequently positive interactions with them when I stop by. Prices are reasonable, and the food is very high-quality while also being consistently fresh. Parking can be a challenge at times, but it's always worth the effort. Not to mention a chance for a nice stroll around downtown Bend after my meal... just the perfect end to complement a perfect day here in this lovely place. Awesome that you can do many different sides including regular fries, Cajun fries, salad, chips, and more options... do wish they had onion rings however. I got the hummus plate which was good but not the best I've had. It came with a baguette which was more like garlic bread so I would have, personally, liked pita more. It also had a few olives on the side with a red pepper type sauce. I got it with no pickled onions. They had a great beer selection and even a few tasty non-alcoholic beers. Also had kombucha on tap which was delicious (from Humm). Everyone working was super sweet and the vibes were relaxed and casual. Our food came out quick and exactly how we ordered it. They also seemed to have spaces for larger parties, too. They also have a little gift shop if you wanted to pick anything from shirts, to bottle openers, to beer candles and more!
