My favorite spot this whole trip!…read more My boyfriend and I are on our first weekend getaway together. We decided our last dinner in town would be here. Our friend Bubba highly recommended it, saying "square grouper slaps." If you know him, you know that is extremely high praise. Let me tell you, square grouper does indeed slap. We were seated on the patio, facing the marina. We got to watch a magical sunset as we literally stuffed ourselves stupid with a variety of insanely yummo seafood. We got the coconut shrimp, portobello fries, scallops, and the tile fish, all per the amazing Ari's recommendations. Did I take any pictures NO I was enjoying a wonderful evening with my yummy man. They were all absolute wins. I've never had coconut shrimp before, and these were absolutely delightful- tender and tropical, which is not a flavor I thought I would enjoy but was happy at that uno reverse. The portobello fries were crisp and juicy?? And meaty from the mushroom?? Idk man a bitch was into it I ate them all. My scallops were divine- they came with this pork belly and sweet potato hash and just pleasured every tastebud with every bite. His tile fish was good, it was crispy and gorg. He ate the whole thing so fast, while commenting in between bites how much he was enjoying it. We also got the key lime pie (mine) and the brownie (his). It was literally my favorite key lime pie of the whole trip, it was so good. We couldn't finish the desserts and took them home, I'm really excited to have them as the best midnight snack of my life. Amazing Ari- you are a gem. Her service was unmatched. She was so happy, informative, and attentive. Her recommendations did not miss. She took phenomenal pictures for us in front of the water that I can one day show our kids and say "look how hot mom and dad were before you guys!" She needs a 200% raise. Thank you for making our last night here so wonderful!

I got sooo many recommendations to go here, I had to with my wife for our 24th Wedding Anniversary…read more I'm giving this place 5 stars overall even though I had 1 major disappointment-the miserable young woman hostess who made us feel like we were bothering her by wanting to go into the restaurant. No smile, No congeniality, Little eye contact, Did Not listen and I had to repeat myself. The reception we received would have made us turn around and go somewhere else, if I hadn't had so many recommendations. OK, now the reasons why I have given them 5 stars. We were quoted a 45 minute wait (about 7:30pm on Tuesday night) but luckily some bar stools opened up AS SOON as we walked in and so we sat at the bar (they offered their full menu), and Fernando, who was EXTREMELY busy, greeted us with a smile and very pleasant demeanor. He prepared our drinks, which were delicious. Right next to him and working the 'Service Bar' was the Manager on Duty: Lauren. She was very pleasant and engaged with us whenever she had the opportunity. She even helped us with menu suggestions, unfortunately, we spoke about one of their nightly specials, the Shrimp Piccata with Gnocchi, but they were sold out when we tried to order it with Fern. So we had a great experience at the bar, and here's the food review; -Fried Whole Yellowtail. Delicious! Presented like a picture and cooked perfectly! Loved the sauce, Pico, Jasmine Rice & Fried tostones. -Citrus/Beet Salad with Whipped Goat Cheese, Quinoa, Nuts, Arugula tossed in a light vinaigrette. All I can say: "Empty Plate Club"...DELICIOUS!! -Now the BEST plate: PEI Mussels. THIS WAS THE BEST PREPARATION OF MUSSELS-I HAVE EVER HAD! The mussels were fresh but the sauce was a "Mic Drop"!!! I split the mussel shell in half, and scooped the mussel shell into the AMAZING sauce and ate it like I was slurping a fresh oyster! After the mussels were finished I ate the rest of the sauce WITH A FORK!!! The sauce was delicious, thick, with garlic and hot spice. I attacked the plate and forgot to take a picture...sorry! We ended our meal with a tasty piece of delicious Key Lime Pie. GREAT EXPERIENCE AND RECOMMEND AND WILL COME BACK!!! Lauren, great job, the place ran clean, efficient and professional!

The Paloma cocktail was excellent and so was the Calamari appetizer. I also ordered the featured fish taco and it was disappointing. The fish was excellent, however the soft taco shell was unable to hold up and I had to use a knife and fork. Other than the fish, it was so so. My husband had the burger which he has always loved here. The burger itself is still good, but the bun is not. I guess everyone is scaling back on quality but not prices. I

We then moved upstairs and grabbed seats at the bar. We ordered the peel and eat shrimp, calamari, and conch fritters. Everything was perfect and came out quickly despite the whole place buzzing. After two more mojitos, we moved to our table upstairs on the balcony. The views were amazing, and the live music on the beach made the whole experience even better. My wife ordered her go-to yellowtail "Lazy Way," which is a must. I had the stuffed whole yellowtail. Everything was excellent, and the portions were abundant. Oh, and did I mention the bread basket, complete with a mini loaf of banana bread! If you haven't been here yet, you need to add it to your list!

Wowwwww!!!!…read more Apparently this is under new management now, and wow... you can absolutely tell! I've been back four times in the past week because the food is just that good. Honestly, it's a 10/10 every single time. My current favorites are the fritters, the homemade soups (always amazing), and the Shack Fried FishI'm completely obsessed! The fish dip is also incredible, and what makes it even better is that the fish is fresh, locally caught, and never frozen. You can truly taste the difference. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts. There's a great bar area if you're coming to relax, but there's also a separate family-friendly section, so it's perfect whether I'm dining alone or bringing my kids!!!! . I've already brought five different people here, and every single one of them has loved it. The service has been outstanding every visit. Everyone is genuinely kind and welcoming, and the owner is right there working alongside the staff, making sure guests are taken care of. It's refreshing to see someone so hands-on and passionate about their restaurant. As someone who absolutely loves food, I can honestly say there hasn't been a single thing I've tried that I didn't enjoy. Great food, fresh local seafood, wonderful people, and an awesome atmosphere. This is exactly what we needed, and I'm so happy they're here. Highly recommend! I'm truly obsessed can you tell

She did let us know that the table was small for us 2, but honestly we were hungry and they were busy and we didn't want to wait. Drew was our server. This guy, for being new to the restaurant, knew everything we asked. He was outstanding. Attentive, suggestive in some cases, and made sure we were taken care of. The wife and I had their (hands down one of the best I've ever had) homemade crab cake. Out. Of. This. World. Very very generous portion. This was highly recommended by Drew. Home run! Then we split their Ribeye Center Cut with some Truffled Pom fries. Excellent choice. They do however charge a $15 fee for sharing. Which is fine. We also sucked down a couple of martinis. Highly recommend. It's a great place to also learn about Henry Flagler and how the railroad system went through The Keys.

The special of the day was a stuffed whole fried fish with stir fry steak and steak ($64... ) I love to order a platter of mixed fried seafood when I go to these places, and they didnt have that. It was either fried shrimp or fried fish alone as options.. i ended up ordering the Fried calamari as my meal. (I really wasnt in the mood for anything else and i tend to always order the fish tacos everywhere i go, so Alex told me to try something else). It was nothing special. The portion was on the smaller side. No tentacles. And I asked for the same sauce that came with the fritters cuz i dont like marinara. The hubby ordered Miso marinated Tuna steak.. he said it was good but it really wasn't what the menu said. The sauce was not an aoili.. it was a teriyaki sauce and there was no crispy onion flakes. He said if he knew the sauce was going to be like that he would have asked for something different. The best part of the whole meal was the homemade Key lime pie.. we both enjoyed it. It was our first key lime pie in the area so we didnt have anything to compare it to.. We will probably pass on this place the next time we come down. But thats all part of our adventures!
