Cool spot near the water. Very friendly staff! We visited after a long walk down the beach and pier. Hard to get in and a bit pricey but worth checking out.

The stars are for the service. If I graded on food only it would be 4 stars. We had reservations and were seated at our table. It took over 15 minutes for someone to come over and offer us water and ask for our drink order. After ordering our drinks we waited forever for them to be delivered than for someone to show up and take our food order. For an appetizer I had the spicy shrimp. I lived the batter and the spice was on point. For dinner I had the Murghi Bhuna. The chicken was tender and the sauce was flavorful and savory.

It's funny that as specific a type of a restaurant as Pakistani decided to open in the suburbs of Clontarf, but there you go, I suppose. The food in Kinara is very good: if you like Indian food, but the person you are eating out with can't handle spicy, Pakistani cuisine is the way to go. Whenever I get Indian, I usually get lamb, and Kinara do a lovely dish called Palak Gosht: lamb, spinach and coriander. If you enjoy your Lamb Saag, this is the man for you. Kinara isn't terribly cheap: the food is nice, but you'll pay for it. And one other thing: Kinara is handy enough to get to from town (just hop on a 130 on Abbey St), but I live less than two miles from the place and it is maddeningly awkward to get there from where I am. I know that this is Dublin Bus' fault rather than Kinara's, but they could have avoided all of this had they have been considerate enough to open in Raheny instead.

Came here a while back for dinner. Was a fab evening to walk along the Clontarf Road to find the place. I believe you can get tables with a view over the bay but we were sat in a corner towards the back. I had scallops to start which were well cooked and presented. The murgh tikka masala was good. I had a cheesecake cocktail for dessert which was (unfortunately) probably the best bit It is a little pricey. Also it's not in the city centre but easy to get to. There are plenty of other places in town I'd prefer to visit did this type of food. Quite a nice restaurant with decent service.

If you are looking for an amazing Pakistani &Eastern Cuisine Restaurant in Dublin, Ireland. I highly recommend Kinara located on the main Clontarf Road. It is not far from Vernon Avenue. Upon arriving just ring the door bell on the side of the restaurant. I was immediately made feel very welcome and got an amazing seat by the window. I was served water and given a menu once I was seated at my table. I ended up being ordering an Indian beer and had an amazing soup as an appetizer. The soup was absolutely amazing and was delicious. Upon finishing my appetizer I ordered a familiar Indian Curry that I had before at other Indian Restaurant's. I ordered the murgh makhani Curry, rice and Nann Bread. Everything I ordered for my main course was just perfect. Lastly to finish off my night at Kinara I ordered an Cappuccino. The cappuccino was delicious and perfect. The customer service at Kinara was absolutely amazing and the staff were very professional. Everyone that worked at Kinara took so much pride in their Restaurant, Jobs and taking care of their customers. The restaurant was very clean and the restrooms were clean also. It should be noted I am originally from Dublin, Ireland. I have traveled all over the world with the United States Marines. Also have traveled all over the United States. I certainly know a great Pakistani Middle Eastern Cuisine restaurant from all my travels. If you are looking for amazing Indian Cuisine look no further. You will definitely find it at Kinara located in Clontarf, Dublin, Ireland. Kinara rates five stars and more!!!! I definitely will be returning to Kinara upon my return to Ireland. You Definitely won't be disappointed by this amazing restaurant. In closing Kinara was officially opened up by Brian O' Driscoll November 29th 2001. Brian O' Driscoll played for the Irish Ruby team and a long time Clontarf resident.

Bindi fries, daal, spicy potatoes, rice, garlic naan-all without yogurt/butter- they do accommodate for dietary restrictions.

Went back, this time everything went well. The food was delicious (as always). I do appreciate that they are very accommodating to any dietary restrictions. We will definitely be coming back. PS- the bindi fries were very tasty!

Eaten here a few times for both lunch & dinner. Wouldn't be too familiar with Pakistani cuisine but the food is amazing. Lovely comfortable room & staff are very attentive, polite & friendly. The early bird is good value too.

Very friendly staff and great food! The mixed platter starter was the nicest thing so definitely worth going for that!

My husband and I are stumped by these reviews. Our dinner started with the owner not finding our…read morereservation. We spelled our, simple, brief last name numerous times. Finally, my husband leaned over him and pointed to it on the computer screen. Then we were seated in the darkest corner of the restaurant with a horrific speaker thumping undefined "music" above us. The papadum were good, fresh. The condiments were not, one sickly sweet, the other a spicy and sweet attempt at lemon pickle. The beef kabab appetizer was unrecognizable. It reminded us of scrapple--chopped, mushy (you could mush your fork into it like mashed potatoes) ill-spiced shingles of mystery. It bore no resemblance to its description-- it wasn't grilled and it in no way resembled beef tenderloin. Or a kabob. It sat on a sweet sauce that begged the question, why? Entrees were ridiculously small , not seasoned properly or even as described, and do not come with rice -- for $25 each. The Naan was fresh and passable. Overall: This was not good food. The servers most looked confused. The owner/front of house person was not very hospitable. I hope there's some competition for this place, soon. There's a gaping hole in this culinary category.

Good food, albeit pricey, but I guess that's a given considering the Malahide area. Portion sizes…read moreappear small but are quite filling. Service was good & attentive. Check it out if you're in the mood for South Asian cuisine.

I seem to be fierce lucky with midlands Indian restaurants…read more Yaadgar is located in a charming little courtyard off of Tullamore's main street, and what attracted us was big sign that advertised two courses for €15. And this was during the evening, not some sort of early-bird special. We were greeted by a very polite gentleman and shown to a table. The restaurant itself was decorated on the fancier side of the standard Indian decor template. There was only one other table there that evening, who, although they arrived before us, were still there when we were leaving, their plates long since removed. There was a decent variety of dishes on the specials menu. I ordered a Peshwari kebab for my starter, and a chicken rogan josh for my main. The two courses were served almost simultaneously. A Peshwari kebab is in essence a lamb burger - which was grand - and the rogan josh was very tasty. I was pleased to see that the two course deal included naan breads. It's always nice when they don't try to stiff you by not including such essential extras such as naans. I can't remember what the other two lads had, but it's safe to say that we were all thoroughly satisfied. The service was very prompt, almost too attentive - there was a waiter posted over my shoulder almost constantly, and he took up the bill almost the second after I'd paid it. I've mentioned before that I'm a teeny bit uncomfortable with the idea of being waited on, but I suppose i'm nit-picking, and I'd no doubt be giving out if the service was slow. Just as we were leaving, the chef and (I assume) the proprietor himself came out and shook my hand, which was an unexpected and nice touch. One word of warning, though - they bring you out a little saucer of toffees once you've finished the meal. I ate one which was soft and yielding, and when I chomped down on the second one, assuming it to be of a similar consistency, I almost severely damaged the muscles on the left-hand side of my jaw, so watch out for the toffees. Lovely food, excellent service.
