I am a creature of habit and this place has my heart. My dad has also been going here for years to get his business clothes dry-cleaned and pressed. They have wonderful customer service (truly, everyone here is very kind) and very fair prices. I won't risk trying a different place for alterations because because every time I've gone here, the work was wonderful, exactly what I asked for, and done in a timely manner. I've had linen pants, work pants, jeans, etc. all altered here and they've all been perfect. I have gone to Kim's for over 20 years and had a good relationship with them. They recently altered my daughter's party dress. It just needed to be shortened in the hem and straps. Somehow their tailor had a mixed message and completely deconstructed then reconstructed the dress in an odd way. The tag is now under the arm instead of the back and there is a seam running up the front. The dress no longer fits and is now worthless. It was brand new and still had the price tag. I took it back to show them and Mrs. Kim became combative insisting that the dress was like that when I brought it to them. I have photos before of the dress and it clearly was different. There is no question that it was mistakenly altered at their shop. She refused to listen and accused me of upsetting them. After 20 plus years of frequenting their shop, I'm shocked at her reaction. I've now also seen similar negative reviews. Extremely disappointing. I am now out $250 for the ruined dress and alterations which they refused to reimburse. I will never go there again. read more

I took in 3pairs of pants that needed to be hemmed. They measured me and gave me my ticket. Each pair of pants was $22.00 to hem. When I went to pick them up, she said that they were not ready because she did not know if I wanted them to be ironed. I said of course thinking that it was included in the $22.00. I was told that there is a charge of $6.00 to iron each pair of pants. I am seventy years old and throughout my years I never had to pay extra for ironing. Also, the most I ever paid was $15.00 to hem and the articles were always ironed. I just took the pants and paid the $66.00 for the hemming and I steamed them when I got home. I went to this cleaners to have cushions dry cleaned from a glider rocking chair. This was really special to me because I was passing it down to my son and his expecting wife to make breast feeding more comfortable for mom and baby. I'm SEVERLY angry and disappointed that ALL THE CUSHIONS SHRUNK, (a back cushion, a bottom cushion, and two arm rests with side pockets). AND THE INSIDES ARE SO BEADED UP, AND LUMPY!!!! The establishment should have said they weren't experts in this type of service!!! But instead, RUINED ALL THE CUSHIONS AND CHARGED ME $80.00!!!!! I didn't go back to complain, because all THEY would've done was point to a 7x11 sign barely visible to the public stating "NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OR DAMAGES". And this would've taken OVER the top in anger, so I decided to SAVE MYSELF!!!!! DONT GO HERE!!!!!! EVER!!!!! read more

This is a Lancaster institution. We've been using Kim's since I was a kid and that's while back :) They can come across a little rushed sometimes but are actually very nice and friendly. I used to use them a lot more but between finances changing and they upped the minimum spend to pay with a card I haven't been able to go lately. read more

This dry cleaner is the worst! The lady there is so mean and her prices are ridiculous! She makes up her own hours so when you need a dress altered and you have to pick it up at a certain time, she will be closed! And will still charge you full price! And make excuses! DO NOT GO TO HER! Used mostly for laundering shirts. They were good until they ruined one shirt (front total ripped, starched and then hung in the middle of the other shirts). Another had a similar rip on the cuff. When I went back with the first ripped shirt, the woman owner wouldn't take responsibility. It is unfortunate as otherwise they are good. Just hope nothing happens to your clothes when they are cleaning them. read more

Highway robbery and ridiculously expensive. We were charged $ 4.95 per shirt! The shirts were wash and wear and nothing special. When I protested in a professional manner, and kept my cool, the owner told me "I had to hand-iron them," and then he had the audacity to not even thank me after I paid the fortune.
