Check out this beautiful dress that Cherry altered - it is a very expensive dress so I was stressed, all beads, sequins and lace. For a very reasonable price, Cherry shortened it to perfection in the front, suggested we remove the liner in the back of the train since it was not attractive (she was definitely right!) and as a bonus attached a bustle hook so my daughter could dance without worrying about stepping on the train. I needed a suit tailored in two days and found Thorndale Cleaners after doing a quick search online. Not only were they able to tailor my suit within the timeline, they did a great job and the customer service was amazing. I was going to Parkway Cleaners closest to my house for the longest time. The customer service was nonexistent and if I wanted any alterations done, I would have to wait at least a week. The staff at Thorndale Cleaners remembered that I needed the suit for an interview and when I went back she asked how it went. She also remembered that I had a 10-year-old and gave me a really cute mask that they had made. Now that is service! I used to go to the chain cleaners in the area and have not always been happy with the quality of services. I happened upon Thorndale cleaners and was greeted by Cherry who was extremely warm & friendly. I was also very happy with the cleaning of my delicate items and prices are reasonable. My mother had passed in November and wanted a favorite jacket of hers made into a pillow. She was a tiny woman so I could not wear it myself. I went to pick it up and Cherry not only handed me the pillow but also was able to save the body of the jacket which was made into a vest. Cherry knew the jacket meant so much to me and took it upon herself to make two incredibly items to cherish, pillow & vest. This place is awesome! Cherry is so talented: she did the alterations for my wedding gown, my mom's mother-of-the-bride gown, my dad's tux jacket, and my husband rented his tuxedo here. We all had wonderful experiences and were so happy with the finished results. Cherry was extremely helpful in providing suggestions throughout the alternations process, and we all thought the prices were very reasonable. As for the tux rental, it was easy and the tux looked great. When my husband dropped off the tux the day after our wedding, Cherry even gave him a beautiful orchid as a wedding gift, which was so sweet and kind. we had a funeral to attend so I brought one of my husband's s suits and a shirt to this establishment. it was $22. I don't drive because I'm lega blind, so I took an Uber. When I took it there the Uber (round trip) was $23. when I picked it up the Uber was $24. as we prepared to go to the funeral, my husband took the pants off the hanger and realized that they were not his (not even the same color) Looking at the Tab we realized that this person was "29" and my husband's suit was "28". I called to straighten it out and was told by the woman that I probably had the wrong cleaners because she couldn't find my phone number . After explaining exactly where they were, she told me to call back with the receipt. I did exactly that and she said that I gave HER the wrong phone number (seriously?) she then told me (without an apology) to bring them in and exchange (adding to come the next morning). I took another Uber ($24) to bring the pants back to them, and she took them, handed me my husband's pants (I checked this time and turned and walked away (Again , not so much as "I'm sorry about that) So to summarize, the cost of getting the suit (and one shirt ) dry cleaned here was $93 for An establishment that made A mistake at which point the service provided no longer necessary, and couldn't even take a minute to apologize for that mistake , or take 5 minutes to try and find a way to correct it, instead put the onus for that mistake on me. I understand mistakes happen, and my time reflected that understanding and the goal of getting it resolve. An apology would have went a long way. We won't be using them again. read more

i found a gorgeous gown for my wedding at a thrift store. this was a $2000.00 dress and I got it for $25.00. of course, it was stained, yellowed, crushed, had a broken zipper, annd smelled like a bowling alley. cherry took it and when I came back for it I didn't recognize it. it was breathtaking, beautiful beyond anything I had hoped. then she had me put it on and she told me to give it back and pick it up next week, after taking some measurements. when i picked it up, not only was it looking like new, it fit me perfectly. very happy. read more

We have not had the positive experiences others have had with Thornale Cleaners. Three bad experiences actually... 1. She lost a pair of my wife's pants from Loft, and then suggested we might have them at home. Wrong. We were able to get her to pay for a new pair, but it took some trying. 2. Melted all the buttons on a shirt I wear once a year to Oktoberfest. Destroyed it. Other dry cleaners never did damage to it. 3. Didn't have dress shirts cleaned and pressed when I went to pick up Sat. am. (supposed to be ready by 5 pm Fri.). Asked when they would be ready and was promised 3:30pm. Stopped back at 3:40, and 3 were still not done. I said I would take them as is (I need them for work). She charged me for all the shirts. Her excuse was my shirts are too small for her machine. I'm a medium. That makes nooo sense. My guess is she does not like pressing shirts, but is much better with alterations and more sophisticated tailoring. She is very friendly but likes to make excuses. If your mainly interested in getting shirts pressed do NOT go here. read more

They have a technique with the sleeves that makes a difference. They pull them together and clip in the front which keeps them from wrinkling. I give them my highest recommendation possible. This is by far the cleanest and well run cleaners I have ever been to. Right from the beginning of my experience, I was made to feel important. The owner was not afraid to point out the 20% discount information to me where most would hope you were not aware. We talked about each piece and made sue there were no stains and all had buttons.
