My experience here was a positive one. Yen is a very sweet lady. I see some people on here complaining about prices. You get what you pay for especially in a Mall. I had some buttons resown on a very expensive brand new leather coat. She took her time looking at it. Told me how much it would cost. I decided to let her do it because A. I don't know any other seamstress that works with leather and B. I wanted my coat to still look new after the work was done. I trusted Yen because she is professional and experienced in her work. She guaranteed the work and that the buttons would not come off again. You have to realize this coat was brand new and the buttons came off within 4 times wearing it. I also had a shorter leather jacket with fur that I had the hardest time putting it on because of the fur getting stuck in the zipper. This jacket was also brand new and I had to have Yen fix it so that the fur wouldn't keep getting stuck in the zipper. Yen did a professional job of trimming the fur without destroying the look and feel off the fur. She did a beautiful job with it. I can now wear it again without having someone "help me put my jacket on every time I want to wear it." Yen has to charge what she charges because she is renting a place in the Mall. It's not cheap to have a place there. She also has to make money. No one is at work that doesn't want to get paid. After all her expenses at a mall, she still needs to put money in her pocket. She is there all alone and it's her business. No one should be working for free. You wouldn't want to either. She stands by her work, gives you a date and time to pick it up and guarantees her work. What more do you want?.. Great lady, great work, great experience here. Anything that I feel is worth getting "fixed" I would definitely go back to Yen. Thankyou Yen. read more

we went and had a very poor experience, I was trying to have a homecoming dress shortened and immediately when i walk out before she touches the dress she quotes me double what the dress costed me and says it will be $300 to take 2 inches off. we tried to say that was much for just a little off. very bad experience read more

I love Ian! We have used her service for years. Yes she is expensive, but she pays very high rent at the mall. She is also an excellent Seamstress the best I've ever had. You will get what you pay for for sure! read more

In my opinion you get what you pay for when it comes to tailoring. I will say she is not inexpensive but her work on my two suits and dress were impeccable. If you saw how poorly these fit before you'll see she practically took them apart and re sewed them all custom to my body. It was definitely expensive but he work was impeccable. She was also incredibly Sweet and but so much care into making sure everything was perfect. read more

This lady is out of her mind. She wanted 26 dollars for the hem, and ANOTHER 96 DOLLARS to taper the bottom slightly...for a pair of 70 dollar work pants. That's completely insanity. This area is derived of good tailors. It's a shame. Let me put this in perspective: I went to another tailor and got this done for 18 dollars. All of it. Avoid this place if you value your hard earned money. read more

Highly Recommend Brenemans tailoring!! Yen is a sweet lady!!

She is an incredible tailor. She takes her time and pays close attention to every detail. her prices are excellent especially given the high quality of the work. I would not go anywhere else. read more

Went to Mrs. Breneman to get a suit jacket's sleeves shortened. She was very kind and patient. She gave me a good estimate for the pricing and it was less than I expected. She was pleasant to work with throughout this process and I appreciated the attention to detail. The sleeves look amazing, you wouldn't know they had been altered. Will definitely return with any alterations needed! read more

I took my daughter's prom dress (which had four layers of different fabrics) to have it taken up so it wouldn't drag on the floor. The dress looks like it came straight from the manufacturer! You cannot tell it was cut, sewn, etc.!! This is the 2nd item I've taken to her and her work is amazing!! read more

So incredibly blown away by the excellent alterations and customer service! I wish I would have found Yen sooner, I cannot recommend her enough! I purchased a bridesmaids gown that required extensive, difficult alterations (thick velvet material). Yen basically re-made the dress to fit me like a glove, better than I could have imagined or purchased from the rack. The seams were flawless, the length was perfect, and the fit was better than I could have imagined. She had the dress done a week after I arrived in distress as the wedding date was fast approaching. She is an incredibly gifted seamstress, and woman of integrity and character. You will be in great hands! read more

Quick turn around on two custom suits that needed tailored due to quite a bit of weight loss. The job was done on time and exceeded expectation, perfect work. This woman is a treasure and her workmanship is truly second to none. read more

Yen did excellent work on 2 pairs of Rag & Bone jeans that I had ordered. The alterations are hardly noticeable and the jeans now fit perfectly---it is no easy task to alter stretch denim, so I was quite impressed! Many seem to be bothered by the prices, but I have to say, after having had alterations done by other companies and hearing horror stories from friends, I wouldn't trust my clothing with anyone else. Thanks Yen! read more

Ms. Breneman did fantastic work in tailoring my suits. I was very impressed with her quality of work and attention to detail. I brought in a suit with functioning sleeve buttons. She took great care in lining up the sleeves when they were hemmed. She noticed the slim fit pants were a bit tight for me and let them out in the back. I ended up bringing the other pants in the same style for the same fix. And, she hemmed the pant leg for a single break, explaining the pros/cons between single break and no break. I thought her prices were fair, but a general reminder for men buying suits...buy the suit cheap because tailoring may be costly, depending on what you have done. She does accept check for partial payment when dropping off, but I would just remember that cash is king with her - no credit/debit. If I need more tailoring I'll be paying her a visit again! read more

We highly recommend Breneman's! Yen was quick and efficient. She tailored my fiance's pants perfectly and we're very happy with the work. Everything was even and was tapered very well! read more

Did an excellent job repairing my designer jeans at a reasonable price! My pants had a hole in the crotch of the pants that was, to put it mildly, very compromising. Ms. Breneman did a superb job fixing it. Thoroughly impressed. read more

I don't usually leave reviews for service or products. However, I was truly impressed with the services of Breneman's Tailoring. First, Mrs Breneman is a wonderful and sweet women. She is the seamstress and owner. As always I leave things to the last moment and getting my pants cuffs shortened was no exception. I had a wedding to go to the Saturday after the 4th of July and walked into her shop the Tuesday before. No way did I expect her to be able to get my pants done by Saturday. To my amazement not only did she get my pants done by Saturday, they were ready on Friday morning. The pants looked great and the price was very very reasonable. I highly recommend them. Thanks Mrs. Breneman. See you soon. read more

I needed a slight hem done quickly on a simple bridesmaid dress. The lady was very sweet but took advantage of my situation. I spent $140 to get an inch hem which was more than the dress. Work was good, but not worth $140. I would not go back or ever recommend this place. read more

Excellent! I came into the shop with a bridesmaid dress that wouldn't zip 10 days before the wedding. Hopeless, and desperate. She took on the challenge, and expanded the bodice for me. You cannot even tell that the dress was altered, unless you inspect very, very closely. And even then, the craftsmanship is impeccable and matches the rest of the dress perfectly. This woman is a lifesaver! She genuinely loves what she does, and will bend over backwards to please her customer. I am so relieved to have a dress that fits perfectly for the wedding of a very close friend! Thank you Brenneman's Tailoring! read more

Outrageously expensive! Workmanship ok.but not excellent. Four pairs of pants were $195.00 to shorten! I needed them to go away but will NEVER return. read more

I had a designer pant suit shortened and it turned out excellent. The material is very delicate, making it more difficult to alter, and the pattern intricate - but the owner did a great job! High quality work, you would never know it was altered. Good price, seemed fair for the level of detail needed. Will be using again in the future! read more

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Yen and am so impressed by her workmanship. I dropped of a Badgley Mischka dress (it is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE dress) because I needed it taken in for an event. A lot of these comments reference suits and pants, so I was going in a little blind about what Yen could do with a dress. But she did a flawless job. Yes, her prices are a bit steep, but when I have clothes I love, I want them to be treated with care and fixed properly. If you looked at the dress, you would never be able to tell that it was ever altered. I will certainly bring anything that I need altered or fixed back to Yen. read more

Thank you for the excellent work on my daughters' three bridesmaid dresses. You are very talented! The attention to detail was amazing. We still can't believe you accomplished that in one week. On top of that, you had my children smiling the entire time. Thank you Yen. read more

Very grateful to Yen for pointing out small moth holes that I hadn't noticed, even though this meant Loss of income from not having the alterations done. I really appreciated her honesty and will definitely come again next time I need work done. read more

Yen did a fantastic job tailoring my suit. She made knowledgeable and thorough recommendations for the suit, including advice on modern trends and detailed explanations of her pricing. The suit was ready in a week and it looks great! She was so kind and professional that I will definitely be going back to her for all my future tailoring needs. read more

Have had (2) items tailored here. Decided it was important to do a full review of the quality before deciding to switch. First, the woman who tends shop is very sweet and funny. However, she will not listen to a word you say. I believe she is a very good seamstress, unfortunately she does not have the tact for modern styles. Despite numerous requests on my part to make specific alterations, they were not done, resulting in both articles fitting poorly and not matching my requirements. They do have a service to "repair" items if you are unsatisfied. That is reactionary. I have been to multiple tailors who are respectful of your wishes and TAILOR to your preference. Second, the price. Vastly overpriced. Absurdly overpriced for what you get. Please, as a warning, if the woman tells you she is "the only one who can do this", that is an absolute lie. There are plenty of qualified tailors willing to do the same things she is for substantially less. As a matter of economics, probably best to stay away from any custom shop in a mall. Rents are very high and that is passed on to the consumer. For general repairs and alterations, I would say this establishment seems fine for quality, if you want to pay through the nose. For specific and luxury alterations, I would look elsewhere. read more

Quick turnaround and a very friendly owner. She did solid work on a pair of pants that needed to be altered and even taught me the correct way to fold them! read more

OMG! Do not use this lady! I looked up reviews before sending my daughter in to get a bridesmaid dress altered and sent her here based on the positive reviews. I should have told my daughter to turn and walk out when she quoted her $175-$180 for just taking in the chest area! That is only thing she needed altered. But I figured it must've been because of the chiffon material ....needless to say I took my dress to my tailor (different town) and she is altering my entire bodice area, adding the straps and hemming it all for $72!! Huge difference price. I called the lady down at Breneman's and she had no explanation other than to say she was under no obligation which she is right that was true. Sadly, I figured it must just be the going rate for that material ....Wrong! She is just outrageously priced and rude to boot! Well I learned my lesson for sure don't assume based on reviews. read more

I needed to have suit altered and based on a neighbor's recommendation, I tried to take it to her. I got to her shop a little after 11 AM (on Saturday) and it was closed. I waited a few minutes but she didn't show up. read more

Beware of Brenneman's Tailoring and Alterations at Park City... I dropped off a suit jacket i paid $30 for to have sleeves shortened. i have never had alterations before so this place was the first to come up on a 411.com search. she was very nice when i walked in. took 2 minutes to measure my sleeves, mark them and then advised me it would cost 85.00! not knowing any better i went along with it. she then advised me it is only check or cash and i needed to put down 50%. thank goodness a friend was with me as i don't carry cash nor a checkbook. less than 24 hours later and after asking around, i decide she is way overpriced and found someone who would do it for $30 including putting the holes back in which she would not do. she was only willing to put the buttons back. i go in to cancel order. she goes off on me saying it will cost me $60 to cancel per a policy she never made me aware of but conveniently had a sign up that she refers me to after the fact... this lady is a crook! i left upset and will be going back to finish the cancellation as principle! she could have been more considerate of me as a first time customer and at the very least made sure i was aware of her policy during the "consultation!" read more

Took an item in to be tailored and was charged double the amount I was charged a month ago(for the same work). Basically there is no set pricing rate so you'll be charged what she deems satisfactory. Any and every other place in the city is cheaper. Take my word. Was charged $28 to hem ONE pair of pants. read more

I was very satisfied with the work, I had a suit jacket hemmed in on the sides for a better fit. I'm new to the area so I had no idea what tailors actually are good. After reading reviews I settled on Breneman's despite being warned about the prices. I took one suit jacket to her and another suit jacket to another competitor in Lancaster downtown. I am equally satisfied with both suit jackets. They fit great! However the pricing between these two tailors is crazy! I paid 195 at Brenemans to have the same work done at the competitor for under 50. Needless to say I know where I will be taking my simple tailoring needs from now on. read more

I called to make an appointment to have professional measurements taken for a dress I'm having custom made from overseas. I barely had the question out of my mouth before Yen laughed at me and then rudely said she wouldn't do it and hung up on me!!! I was looking for a seamstress to get my measurements done who could ALSO do my alterations once the dress finally came in. I certainly WILL NOT try going here again. I cannot believe how rude she was! read more

I've been to Yen a few times, and have never had a bad experience. Her prices seem a little high, but her work is superb. She will also negotiate with you and explains why she is charging what she is. Turnaround time is usually a week, which is good. She is very friendly as well. Will definitely go there if I need more work done. For the quality of service, I'm willing to pay a bit more. read more

Ms. Breneman does great work in a timely manner. I had several modifications to a suit done in one week (compared to 3 weeks elsewhere). I was very satisfied with the work. Pricing is more expensive than a suit store, but well worth it. read more
