Pros. Futomaki, katsu, miso soup, honey siracha and pot stickers were good. Will order again Cons. Beef teriyaki and beef ramen were flavorless and salad was drenched. First time ordering the ramen and glad I tried it. Just wouldn't order it again. Totally forgot about the salad being drenched which was my bad but yea too much dressing. I'll also just skip the beef teriyaki. Overall experience good. Will probably just try different things on the menu.

We decided to try a different Japanese spot for dinner on Tuesday. Whenever we try a new Japanese spot I always order the salmon teriyaki. It's my favorite dish to get. I didn't like the salmon teriyaki here, it tasted off. The sauce was light and not a thick glaze and it tasted different. Even the sauce for the tempura tasted different too. My boyfriend enjoyed the chicken teriyaki dish. His only complaint was that the salad had too much dressing. I thought it was fine and I liked that there was a lot of dressing. Overall food here seem ok. Service was friendly and attentive.

This is our second time here. Great food and at a good price just like a few other places in town but their only problem and reason of the two stars is due to their service. The lack of customer interaction and acknowledgment is a major negative in their industry. The amount of time to get just their attention ton order the attempts to ask for anything. Their organization as people walk in to he seated and knowing who came before to make sure no mistake are made is bad. Just wishing they could improve at least with a hi and a smile. Or is there anything else you would like. Serving 101.

love this place! has been our go to for years, never disappoints. food is always good, a pricing is decent as well.

Really good and fresh! I will be back! The restaurant was clean and our waitress was friendly and check on us frequently.

If you come to this establishment, I honestly suggest that you come here not hoping for much. Although the food was good (surprisingly their miso soup is one of the best), coming here on the Fourth of July was probably one of the things I regretted the most and I will probably never come back here until they improve their service and professionalism. We tried the bento sets and one roll, which honestly was pretty good. I was surprised by the teriyaki chicken, and miso soup, both of which were seasoned quite well. I would say that the walnut prawn rolls were a little undercooked in terms of the shrimp, but the looks of it were quite creative. Sashimi, on the other hand, was really fishy and was a big let down. It didn't even taste fresh. It just felt as if someone cut it and just left it there to rot. Also, the 5pc sashimi I got was way too small to be called sashimi. Also, just to put a warning out that Kimono is not run by Japanese people -- they're run by a bunch of rude Chinese people who honestly pretend that they are running an authentic Japanese restaurant. Just own up to it, y'all. I'm not stupid when I can see y'all communicate. I'm giving the service a blatantly honest one star because of how rude they treated me and my partner. The waitress was absolutely passive aggressive, and kept on rushing us in the process. What really ticked me off was the fact that the boss and the boss lady did not say anything about closing early -- neither was there a sign about closing early due to a family function. That was in their turn very unprofessional, and an absolutely uncourteous way to not remind your patrons and assume that we all know. LOL. Also, no soy sauce on tables? Another reason why I can give y'all a one star in terms of hospitality. The atmosphere of this place is DARK. I didn't like it at all. I will not be coming back to this place to support this establishment.

Jalapeño poppers. 2 jalapeños sliced in half. Pricey.

We got our food to-go. 2 appetizers 3 rolls About $70.This was quite expensive tbh and not that great. The bags felt soooo light like air and had zero weight to them I questioned whether they even had anything in them! Now I know why their portions are quite small. Apps: jalapeño popper, agadashi tofu. The popper was 2 jalapeños sliced in half, so 4 pieces. Very small portion. Flavor was okay. Tofu portion was decent. Rolls: -Fuji Mountain looked big in the pictures but it was SO tiny. My goodness. The box was soooo light!! And was like $17. -Heart attack: okay size, fried roll, but the Miso pork belly filling was not good. Tasted like plastic, I had to take it out. -Vampire, okay but not great. Overall expensive for the little food we got.

Cute little sushi spot. Open later than most spots in Tracy so decided to give it a try. The sushi was beautiful decorated! Some shaped like flowers or hearts. The sushi was very cheap compared to a lot of places in Tracy! The menu was super big filled with many options. They offer ramen, udon, sushi, sashimi, chicken teriyaki, and more! The service was attentive and the sushi was delicious. They were super friendly and happy to have the business even though we came in close to closing! The inside is decorated nicely for a cute cozy date spot!

We decided to let that go until.. 2) they told us they did could not offer salmon sashimi bc they ran out. It's a sushi restaurant! which should be a basic offering but it happens I guess. She had no idea what the substitute would be and didn't care. 3) I asked for a bowl and 2 forks for my children, twice. Both times forgotten over an hour of waiting. 4) we never received our sashimi plate even after waiting over an hour. The waitress said she "didn't know what the salmon would be substituted for, possibly an extra charge based on what they have". Still never came back and told us what would be substituted ever bc she was too busy seating others. I asked again 3 times and she was STILL defensive saying "it's whatever they have". We asked another server (I think the bartender) but we were still forgotten. Literally still not even prepared after an hour and 15 min of waiting so we just canceled our order. 5) they sat down SO MANY customers more than they could handle. Again, 1 waitress. Probably 20 tables (A FULL restaurant) waiting for their orders. They should just make them wait so they can handle whoever they seat first. I would respect that way more. 6) the tonkatsu ramen was ridiculously salty. We knew it usually is saltier, but this time it was so inedible our kids could only eat the noodles, and none of the soup. 7) worst of all - they charge $17.99 for 5 pieces of shrimp tempura. My kids used to love their tempura, we would be fine with ordering 2 servings when they first opened but they increased their prices like crazy. That is a joke and I hope people do not fall for this! We asked to check out for only the food we received since we knew we'd be waiting forever.. Sure, they offered our food to go, but no, I don't want my oysters on a shell to go. You lost a customer who really tried to be patient after the last few visits, but the price we pay is so not worth this!

Mother's Day dinner was a pure shit show with this place. We…read moreknew it'd be busy so we ordered "to go" from the app. First issue: the app does not take orders over $125. We're a big family so I ended up splitting it into 3 orders. Second issue: because I split the order, an item 3 members wanted kept going out of stock. The prime rib 16oz then the 14oz then the 12oz (only 2 of the 3 went thru on the order). Third issue: I went a few minutes just before the "scheduled" pickup time to pay the orders (app only took Apple Pay, giftcard, or pay at pickup). At this point I haven't gotten a call or text about my order. It's my turn up to the counter ("to go" pickup is outside) and ask about any possible available prime rib and she says they're out. I figure ok at least we got the 2 for the to-go order. I informed her that I have 3 to-go orders from the app. She goes to check on the orders and returns to inform me that they are COMPLETELY out of prime rib and had cancelled them from one of the orders. So basically 2 family members weren't getting dinner. ME being one of them. On mf MOTHER'S DAY! I kept my cool and proceeded to order dinner replacements. At this point we were 20min past the "scheduled" pickup time of 7:45pm and the orders still weren't ready. I asked the gal if I had ordered in the morning for pickup for dinner, would that have guaranteed the prime rib? She flat out said "Nope. We run out whenever we run out." Basically the app does not match up to their inventory and they don't hold anything for online/app orders. It's all first-come-first-served regardless of when you order. In other words the app is useless. Fourth issue: It seemed we had finally gotten the orders straight. All combined orders totaled over $300. I asked if I could get a discount since they cancelled part of my order without letting me know. They gave me my $12 appetizer free. I asked if I could get 10% off since the replacement dinners were more. About another $10 off. I thought whatever $22 off and still paid over $300 combined. Fifth issue: I asked how long for the order with the replacement steaks and she said should be quick about 20-30min. That seemed quick for how busy they were. So I waited. Not that I had a choice. 45 MINUTES LATER... Our food is finally ready and I'm still composed. I am at the counter and get the 3 huge bags. I start looking through them to try and make sure I have everything cause again it was multiple orders and I live 25-30min away. It was 9pm and so I'm trying to quickly go through the bags. Half the containers are soggy and cold. I think these might have been ready when I got there, but they're wanted me to wait until everything was ready. During the chaos the gal behind the counter asks me to move over cause they're backed up so she can help the next person. I tell her "I waited. They can wait." The lighting outside sucks. I can barely make out what's in each container. She again tells me to move to the side. I'm annoyed at this point and say "Ma'am I'll move when I'm ready." She calls over some shift mgr and tells her I won't move. That B of a mgr slams the window shut. At that point I was like F it. There's not enough room or light for me to check everything so I leave. Last issue: of course a bunch of sides are missing and some made incorrectly. By the time we tally up the damage the place was closed and no one is answering the phone. Cold, soggy food. Unhappy family. And a pissed off mom... on Mother's Day. I usually genuinely like Texas Roadhouse. Food is good. Service is ok, but yesterday they were crap through and through. Going today to get a refund of all the missing sides and extras that we never got.
