I've enjoyed the food and atmosphere the few times I have been there, but their social media and calendar is lacking, as in it's non-existent. What little is posted offers hardly any info on entertainment and is challenging to navigate. Hope they fix this. read more

My bestie and I were walking around Downtown Riverside and came across this place. What looked to be the manager was outside and apparently was pulling in people cause that's how he got us. Security was in full force and it was nice to feel safe. There was a DJ and a Saxophone player playing along. I didn't realize how much I actually appreciate the saxophone, He did an amazing job keeping up with the DJ. I must compliment the DJ on his music choices, although I would maybe ask him to play each track just a little longer. All the girls in their Halloween costumes was so cute. The servers were attentive even when it got busy. There was a Birthday Girl getting bottles delivered to her table and it was fun to watch. Late night menu has a great discount on pizzas, definitely be back to try some other ones. We also ordered a wedge salad and Chef was kind enough to chop it up. First off, I went in early. Just after they had opened. I had never been there before and I chose Killer Queens because it had a cool name and it was close. But I was very happy that I did. The place had the most eclectic atmosphere, it was bohemian in the best way. The staff, every single one that we dealt with, was friendly and welcoming. Special shout out to the bartender, not only were the cocktails amazing but he jumped in and took our food order so we wouldn't have to wait. Now let's talk about the food. It was absolutely delicious. I had the lobster flatbread, and my friend had the mushroom sage flatbread. We both shared back and forth it was all wonderful. Our other two friends loved their food as well. I like everything about this place. I can't wait to go back when it's busier so I can see the crowd it draws. Popped in to check out the newly remodeled new space called Killer Queens. Very nice what they did with the place. Very lounge like, clean and some sophistication. Tried a bunch of the food with friends and they didn't disappoint, neither did the drinks. Their Killer Queens Social House Pilsner by Brewery X is pretty sweet. The place has comfortable seating where you can sit and lounge and have nice conversation with company or just take a load off. I never feel I have to chase anyone down to get service and the food selection they have is wonderful as well. I was excited for this place but on our first impression we were extremely disappointed. My friend and I came for their soft opening and the bouncer would not let us in because he said they were at capacity. They opened at 8pm and we got there at 9pm and it was pouring rain out. So we were about to walk away when two other girls came up to the bouncer and he let the other girls in but not us?! He let 4 other girls in before he let my friend and I in and it wasn't like we weren't dressed for the occasion or anything like that. They don't have a dress code either. When we got inside we noticed that the women were dressed to impress but the men were dressed way too casual. Once we got inside we noticed a huge crowd around the bar so we go to the bar and it took 30 mins to get to the bar front. Then we waited another 30 mins at the front of the bar and the bartenders wouldn't even acknowledge us or look our way. We were straight ignored. Service was so slow people behind us were leaving after 20 mins of waiting. We were bummed because the drink menu looked good but service was nonexistent. I felt bad for the bartenders because it was obvious that they had no idea where anything was behind the bar and they kept looking back on a recipe sheet on how to make each drink because they hadn't memorized the menu yet. On top of that the music was blaring so loud you couldn't hear the person next to you. You'll definitely need ear plugs to avoid hearing loss. I will say though the space is really nice and it looks like it has a lot of potential. Hopefully the second time around we'll have a better experience. read more

My wife & I walked in here last week assuming it's a cigar lounge. To our surprise, the manager pleasantly and gently told us it's now a dance club but he would gladly set us up outside on the patio. We did have drinks and smoked our cigars. It turned out to be much enjoyable than a traditional cigar lounge. We enjoyed the place so much that we came back at night to dance. Well, Mike the manager let us have the same patio to enjoy while taking a break from dancing. I must say this club offers very safe environment, so well organized, has superb customer service, staff is well trained. Last but not least, the cheese cake? Out of this world. This was my first time here. I was greeted by Victoria and Natalie and Victoria got us a table close to the stage. My wife ordered her Guinness beer and I opted for the Layla, which was a rum-based cocktail that was seriously one of the top 10 drinks I have ever had. Really flavorful and delicious! I only had a Liquid Death, and one cocktail, I think it was the Heart of something. A really good drink, but our servers confused our bills, and ended up overcharging us. I didn't wanna make a deal about it while there because it was getting crowded, and hard to talk over the loud music. Ultimately, I was charged $60 for one liquid death water ($5), and one cocktail ($15). I wouldn't return again due to the lack of clarity when they charge, and also the spot just wasn't my vibe. Great addition to the Downtown Riverside scene. There are so many cool things about Killer Queens its hard to find a place to start. I love that they have the license to sell actual bottles to go like a store. Very convenient if you're planning something for after hours. The mural on the wall looks awesome. Definitely a cool back drop for any picture. It's very loungey and welcoming. The seating is comfortable. I love that they have intimate sections for a dat as well as large sections for a party. There are so many cool nuggets through the place. The piano room, the upstairs back bar, the balcony area on the second floor, and so much more. Definitely ask for a tour of the place if they are doing them. The staff was amazing as well. From the welcoming door guy, to the awesome bar and wait staff, me the cook, and one of the owners as well. The place is an absolute vibe! Might have to throw my 40th birthday here in May. Very fun bar with great vibes. Decided to come here randomly with a friend to end our night. Both DJs were great and kept everyone on the dance floor. A good amount of bouncers to make sure the place is secure. Thank you for that. This place is located next to Lake Alice Bar and has a variety of vibes which I loved. The crowd is a mix so there's not really a way of categorizing the type of bar it is which is definitely nice if you don't have issues with different gender identities and/or sexual preferences. I think it's always great to have a mix because the energy is always great. There is no dress code and for this particular night we did not have to pay an entry fee.
