TLDR: Worth a visit if you're in the area?…read more Wow! Hidden gem? Forgotten favorite? I don't know, but after tasting the food, we have to get the word out about this spot. Arriving around lunchtime on a weekday, I had the place to myself which allowed me a unique opportunity to take the place in. That being said, this spot is not overly French cafe themed, but instead a classic suburban strip mall spot with nods to the French peppered throughout the menu and decor. The booth area is well-designed, the spot was clean and the table touched by light so after a great experience chatting with the cashier I was crossing my fingers, hoping the food matched the vibe. I had a crepe Mexicana (because who has ever heard of that?!), a croque monsieur with tomato soup, and a dessert crepe because y'all know I always save room for dessert. It took a minute to be prepared, but I'm willing to wait for a fresh made meal. Everything, was delicious. Crepe texture was on point, and each crepe was stuffed to the Gods. Positive experience all around. My tip: Order the tomato soup and finish your meal with the following combo- a dessert Crepe Almonds with strawberries. Trust me on that one!

While French fries, French Toast, and French bread, have crossed into American cuisine without incident, not so for the street food of Paris. Why? Well, like everything, it's the $$$. For one ham and cheese crepe, I could eat a Delicious Bacon, Egg, and Cheese McGriddle every day for a week. True, I'd have no silverware, but honestly I don't care.

My husband and I stopped by First Watch today for a late brunch. We actually ended up here because…read moreanother brunch spot in the area had a 45-minute to one hour wait. When we arrived, First Watch looked pretty busy, but we were pleasantly surprised that we were seated right away. The hostess was very kind and welcoming, and our waiter was just as nice... cordial, helpful, and attentive throughout our visit. The service was definitely one of the highlights. For food, we both ordered the Trifecta. I chose the waffle with potatoes instead of eggs, along with their chicken sausage patty, and I added a side salad with mixed greens and a lemon herb dressing. I also added a side of chicken. Initially, I thought the chicken breast would be about $2.50, but before placing the order our waiter came back and clarified that it would be about $5 and would come as strips instead of a full chicken breast. I appreciated him coming back to correct that. When the chicken came out, it was sliced into very thin pieces and was a little lukewarm. I mentioned it to the waiter, and he apologized and handled it professionally by removing it from the bill, which I appreciated. Overall, the food was okay, about a 3.5 out of 5 for me. The waffle was tasty, just as I remembered, and the potatoes were good as well. However, the chicken sausage patty wasn't very good. I personally didn't enjoy it and ended up leaving it on the plate. My husband ordered the pancake with pecans, scrambled eggs, and a side of grits with butter, and he enjoyed his meal. One thing I did like was that you can now pay your bill directly from your phone, which makes it really convenient when you're ready to go without waiting. Overall, the big win here was the service and hospitality. The staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient, and we appreciated being seated quickly even when it seemed busy. The food was decent, though I've had better, but the service made the experience pleasant.

I had the salmon eggs benedict, as I always do... It did not taste good at all. The Salmon didn't taste like real fish. Tags were bland and the only thing I really liked were the fresh red onions. Bummer. Now, I always like to wash it down with a purple haze... Thankfully it was still really tasty. Maybe the cooks were tired. *Shrugs* Lol. They close at 2:30 and I came in at 2:00 The inside was pretty empty with only maybe four tables in use. It was relaxing atmosphere... so maybe if I go another day during peak hours, it will taste better. We shall see. I haven't given up on you yet!

Theres a large seating area with a warm fire pit, which was a great surprise. I ordered the de La Rosa Mazapan Latte, which I asked to be made "less sweet." The employee perfected the sweetness for me and although I knew it has a peanut butter base, I wasn't expecting to find an actual chopped peanut towards the end of my drink. They stamp their cups with the verde, "walk by Faith," which was a nice surprise.

This little place is the cutest freaking spot on Aldine Westfield. You pull up and it's like a Hawaiian Tiki hit, it's covered but open air so you get all the sounds and smells of the neighborhood. You walk-in and there's a barber/salon container shape to the left, available containers spaces to the right and you dead into a coffee shop and bus of deliciousness! In celebration of National Coffee Day, they had a buy one get a small free drink, which is the best thing for me on account of I really wanted a flight of all their Hispanic inspired flavors!! BTW a flight of your coffees is actually a great idea woman!! Anywho I knew I wanted the Mazapán, it taste just like the La Rosa, even had chopped peanuts on top I was torn between the Guadalupe or yhe Abuelia, the woman of the house suggested Abuelita and so I listened to mama! They were both cool and yummy and decadent! There's a a giant fire pit waiting for the fall and patio seating with jenga or a roof top covered patio if you have time to sit and enjoy your coffee. Wherever you're in the East Aldine area, pop in say high, grab a cup of coffee or something from their menu and take in the vibes and scenery!
