Best cafe in Kihei. Love the original in midtown but the cafe in Maui Coast rocks. Cleaner, less crowded, same wonderful food and staff.
What an amazing find in Maui. We have a friend who lives in this area and she recommended we meet her here for breakfast. When we arrived, we had to order as we walked in the door (so be prepared for that, I recommend reviewing the menu online before going). We ordered, sat ourselves and the food was brought out quickly. Great service by the staff who are friendly and helpful. The ambiance is nice in that you can either sit outdoors with the nice breeze or indoors. Food was delicious, cooked to order and disappeared quickly off our plates. Highly recommend this place if you are in Maui.
If you're wanting breakfast in the wee hours here in Maui, this place is a great pick! Large indoor/outdoor seating area and the menu is pretty extensive. You pay before seated and you pick your own seats which is a plus! The food came pretty fast. Definitely check this place out when you're in Maui.
Good choices were made here going with the viral pancakes everyone talks about!! Everything was so efficient and delicious!! I will recommend this place to anybody
What a nice place for breakfast and good coffee! I am glad we got here at 6:30 in the morning because the line was forming fast soon after! We had orders for a party of 4 and waited about 25 minutes, but in the meantime, the Creamy Ube Halaya was amazing. The So Ono coffee would be great with an extra shot! The Macadamia Banana French toast is a definite must try. The Açaí bowl and Chia bowl are both great in my personal opinion and healthy, filling options! The outside seating makes for a nice place to have a leisurely breakfast, cup of Joe and people watch! The baby chicks are pretty entertaining too!
My family and I loved this location and the food was great. The prices are expensive but what can you expect it's Maui, HI. French toast was 10/10 and the bacon was top tier with the eggs and breakfast potatoes. We will be coming back!
We visited the Kihei Caffe at the Maui Gold Hotel in late September 2025, while the hotel is undergoing renovations (scheduled until December 2025). During this time, they're serving a smaller menu poolside in to-go boxes, but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and portion sizes. My husband ordered the Loco Moco with Spam, which came with rice, a fried egg, brown gravy, and topped with green onions. It was hearty, flavorful, and a classic Hawaiian comfort dish. BIG dish! My mom and I went for the veggie burrito option (served without a tortilla) - essentially a scramble with eggs, spinach, melted cheese, avocado, jalapeños, and a side of fries. It was both filling and a relatively healthy breakfast choice, which we appreciated. We also tried the Keiki French Toast, which was golden, soft, and came with whipped cream. A simple but well-done treat that kids will enjoy. Even with the limited menu and the more casual poolside setup, Kihei Caffe delivered good food with generous portions. The menu leans toward hearty, satisfying breakfasts but still offers some lighter, veggie-forward options. We left full and happy - a nice way to start the morning on Maui. We're looking forward to visiting again once renovations are complete, but in the meantime, this temporary setup is still worth checking out if you're staying nearby.
The actual physical cafe restaurant is under construction right now so they are serving by the pool. Its a very chill and relax type of place to eat. Very casual. Service was pretty fast and our waitress was nice. She got our orders in quickly and got them out very quickly as well. I got the French toast with 2 eggs scrambled. I asked if I could get potatoes instead of the breakfast meat options. It was nice they accommodated me. My friend and I didn't ask for it to go, that is just how they serve their food for the time being I suppose. Breakfast was nonetheless delicious! May have missed it but wanted to try their pineapple French toast. Oh well, maybe next time!
The ordering process was easy and I appreciated the menus to view while in line. The omelette was very good and easy to customize. Home fries/potatoes were good and crispy. The Hawaiian Honey cold brew was so good!!!! So so good!! I wish I could get one every day to start my morning. Nice seating with half indoor/half outdoor options and fully indoor options.
This Kihei Caffe is located in Maui Coast Hotel. When you enter, grab a menu and place your order with the cashier. Grab a seat, and your food should come to you fairly quickly! The location has plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. The vibes are great and the air is fresh! I ordered the corned beef hash with rice and eggs over easy. Note: As of April 2025, there is an additional $2 charge for any and all egg dishes. There is a 3% surcharge if you pay with card. Bring cash to play it safe! The portion was perfect, the hash was crispy and delicious, rice was well-cooked and eggs were delicious. The biscuit was buttery and yummy. Water is available to all, just grab a cup and pour from the dispenser. What a wonderful business, perfect for guests at the beautiful Maui Coast Hotel!
If you're visiting Maui (like me) and looking for a casual place to brunch with family, this is the spot. Located in the Maui Coast Hotel, this restaurant isn't your typical, sit and order restaurant, the service is still welcoming and quick. You place your order at the cashier, grab your utensils from them, pick up your drinks at the bar, and find a seat to dine in while they prepare for your meal. Once your meal is ready, a server will call your name and bring it right to your table. For drinks, the offer the usual breakfast beverages: coffee, juice, mimosas. There is also a self-serve station for water and condiments. As for the food, I ordered the Irish eggs benedict which came with fresh corned beef hash and grilled tomatoes. Now, the usual corned beef hash includes fillers like potatoes and onions, peppers, etc. But during my visit, it was straight corned beef. It was still delicious regardless as it went well with the perfectly runny yolk of the poached egg, the sweet grilled flavor of the tomato, and the English muffin. The fried potatoes on the side also was a great addition to the whole entire dish. The dish itself filled my stomach while my heart was filled with spending quality time with my family. A few things to note are: 1) there is currently a temporary $2 surcharge on any fried of poached eggs, which a sign was posted in front by the cashier, 2) there is a small lot across the restaurant for you park, and 3) this place tend to get busy during peak brunch hours but the process is smooth. As mentioned, you order, find a seat, grab your drinks at the bar, and wait for your name to be called. It's a laid-back vibe for sure but when you're on vacation, it's all good.
Was ok. Kinda like the place you go to since its close by but doesn't really wow you. Real haole kinda place but the food was so so. Pretty bland actually. We got the chilaquiles and steak and both were kinda meh. Not much else to say tbh. The roads were flooded due to the Kona low storms so we were limited in places to go so we went here. Thats it. Wouldn't go back tbh. Place was nice enough, but just real basic and the food was just basic.
Maui Wowee?? My friends and I came here this purely out of covenience reasons. This restaurant is located on the same property as our hotel (Maui Coast). NOTES 1. Revised hours are 6:00am to 2:00pm. There is actually a sign at the entrance notating their 2:00pm closure. 2. Per signage near the entrance: take a menu, order at the register, pick up your drinks, and have a seat. 3. There's another sign near the cashier notating to please order your food before finding a seat; essentially discouraging savings seats. 4. Indoor and outdoor seating available; though most seating is in their outdoor patio/lanai. 5. Provide your name to the cashier. Your name will be called when your food and drinks are ready. FOOD / DRINK The menu is very extensive. Per the menu, they serve breakfast all day. To note, the flip side of the menu is lunch and dinner. I was with 2 friends, and one was the other person in our group that also chose the Chorizo scramble. Our other friend ordered the Banana bread French toast. The food was ok, and slightly overpriced, but I guess that's what expected at a place that caters to tourists. There are many breakfast choices on the menu, so I feel confident one would fine something to satisfy their breakfast appetite. SERVICE Like the food, it was ok. The cashier was friendly enough, and the guy who dropped off our food was polite. We all thought they should adopt a better system when informing customers their order is ready. I think using a number system or providing small devices that vibrate or light up would be more efficient. Sometimes it seemed difficult to hear names, and while we were eating we observed a worker unable to find a customer when calling their name. Also, some customers will have the same name which may cause some confusion. BOTTOM LINE The entire experience was just ok. Unsure if I would recommend.

Great breakfast place! I love that you order at the register and don't have a server. Drinks were extremely quick and the food came out timely. To find breakfast on Maui for under $100 bucks for four people feels like you're robbing the place. If you're looking for a view of the ocean this isn't it but the dining is outdoors and covered and just on the other side of the road from the beach. Pancakes (the size of your face), bacon and eggs, and my personal favorite ...the LOCO MOCO- rice, hamburger patty, beef gravy, and eggs. Hawaiian classic! I wish they would have put the crispy onion straws on top, it could have been an add on that I missed but regardless it was excellent. Traditionally you should get runny eggs but I don't like them, scrambled works. Could easily feed 2 to 132 people. read more
The beat became better?! OK they don't have the funk that the old place has. Instead, you've got a significant amount of nice seating, and a lovely view of the ocean. The best part is that it wasn't crowded. We arrived when they opened at 7 AM. There were a handful of people in front of us, but we were served practically immediately. Everything came out super quick. If it looks like it's going to rain, choose a table towards the center because it can blow through there a bit even though it's covered. Although my husband said the rice on his loco moco was a little bit undercooked, I can tell you that my meal was absolute perfection. As expected from Kihei Café!, service was spot on. We will be back. And then we will probably be back again. And maybe once more before we leave. Highly recommend! read more

Great place for breakfast or lunch! This is their new location and you must stop by. Wonderful selection of brekkie dishes and lunch looks just as onolicious! Nice open air dinning too! Service was fast and they have a smooth ordering system so your food comes out not only quickly but hot off the grille. No dishes sit in the warming area at all. I had traditional eggs Benedict and muesli. My friend had a yummy big cinnamon roll and 2 fried eggs and an iced latte. Everything was perfect! We will be back soon and if you haven't tried it yet make sure you do. The line to the ordering server is sometimes long but don't let that stop you. Line goes quickly and their ordering methodology and internal controls work beautifully. Happy eating and bring your entire ohana or friends. They have specialty drinks too! Service: We ordered at the counter after standing in a long line. And then we can sit anywhere in the restaurant. The food was served to the table. The outdoor seating was nice. The breakfast burrito was very basic. Lacked seasoning. The bagel and cream were definitely store bought. Very basic. The cream cheese was not even smeared. It was served on the side. The Ube macadamia nut cold brew was delicious though. Also, they kinda hurry you up to leave while you are still finishing up your food. Overall, below average food and experience. read more

Food: the food was delicious. The eggs Benedict had a great poached egg and the ham and biscuit was also very delicious. The potatoes were cooked just the way I like it crunchy on the outside. Nice and soft on the inside. The French toast was eaten by my niece, and she loved it, she scarfed it down so quick. The kids rice, Vienna, sausage and scrambled egg was a fairly big portion so it was worth the money to purchase. My daughter loved it and we also got to take some home for eating later. Service: right when you walk in the service is great the cashier is very friendly and has a kind smile as you order. The servers are also very nice. Ambiance: the café is very casual. We went during breakfast time and was lucky enough to come in with only a few people in line we didn't really wait too long on our order so that was also a plus. Overall, this place is great we booked the hotel that's right next to the café so it's just a one minute walk over. I would definitely recommend if you're staying in Maui coast hotel to visit this restaurant. read more

Choose your own table and servers bring your food to you by calling your name. Beverage orders are picked up at beverage counter. Classic breakfast & brunch food and also daily specials. Stopped in for breakfast around 830 am on a Sunday. The line was out the door but the line moved quickly. There is a menu posted outside the door but once you get in, you'll see a board with daily specials. We planned on ordering the Fresh Corned Beef Hash and Eggs, then changed to the Oyster Rockyfeller Benedict special. Also ordered the traditional Eggs Benedict, Pancakes and Loco Moco. The Oyster in the Rockyfeller Benedict was crunchy and not overdone. The Pancakes were fluffy. The Loco Moco was big. We were all very happy with our entrees. You order at the door, find your table, pickup your drinks, then servers come through the dining area calling your name to drop off your food. At the register there are baked goods to choose from. The restaurant offers indoor, outdoor, and air conditioned seating. Looking forward to our next visit. read more

Stayed at the Maui Coastal Hotel and walked to this spot for breakfast. It's a practically self serviced spot so don't expect to be waited on. Order your food, pay, and tip before finding a spot to sit and eat. There is a water station where you can get your own cup of water. Tried the eggs Benedict with fresh corned beef and it was delicious! They didn't skimp out on the corned beef either. Most places would have more potato than meat but not here. Would come back to try the kalua pig Benedict for sure and maybe even their cinnamon rolls they have on display at the register. read more
Came here to just pick up some morning drinks! However, I need to come back because the food looks amazing here! We were told that the Ube coffee cold brew here is a must and it is very sweet, but it's very tasty! The ambience is amazing. Apparently this used to be a bar so they still have the bar set up but they have outdoor seating which is very lovely on a nice day! The restaurant itself is very large and spacious! The service is amazing. They do have two people at the front to get your order. The Italian soda is what I got and it was super tasty. read more

Dined here for breakfast. Conveniently located right next to the hotel I was staying at. The menu is just like the other location down the street and I enjoy the ambiance here as you don't have to be rushed to eat your food as people await to be seated. The times I've been here there is ample seating. You choose what you want to eat, pay, ( they take credit cards here) sit down at any open table and enjoy your meal! read more
Kihei Cafe has their restaurant dialed in! Walking in you first see a beautiful bakery display filled with a bunch of yummy treats. Next to the display is a friendly face waiting to take your order. Once ordered, you choose where you'd like to sit. We chose to sit out back, which felt like we were in a jungle! The atmosphere was amazing. After a short wait our food arrived, which was good; not great, just good. Everything we ordered was your basic breakfast food. Overall our visit to Kihei Cafe was great and we all left with full bellies. read more

I ordered the egg breakfast. The food was brought out 5 min after ordering and it was cold. So l don't know when they cooked it but it was before I ordered it. My husband ordered the Hawaiian Twilight coffee. It is purple and tasted like milk. read more

2259 S. Kihei Rd at the Maui Coast Hotel location At this cafe you can order a kalua pork loco Moco or a kalua pork Benedict, and a kid's pancake shaped like a whale or a turtle! We've eaten Kihei Caffe before in its original ocation further down the road, but I noticed they opened one at the Maui Coast Hotel just around the corner from our residence. At this location you stand in line to place your order at the register and then grab a table, either enjoying the outdoor veranda area, or also a cooler more air conditioned room. By the time we've grabbed a table and our own drinks/silverware, they are calling our name with dishes in hand. We ate here twice, and how fast the food comes out utterly amazes me. I feel like it's faster to eat here than spending time my own breakfast at our timeshare, and much more delicious. The special coffee drinks are good (ube iced lattes and coconut macadamia coffee), and they had these giant cinnamon rolls shaped like huge volcanoes that I regret not trying because we decided to get their also delicious malasadas instead. I definitely recommend Kihei Caffe as a convenient and delicious way to fuel up before you head out for the day. read more

Went here for breakfast. Food was excellent. I had a spinach, onion, mushroom omelette. The omelette was done perfectly except the onions were still raw and strong. The potatoes weee perfect with a crusty outside and a soft centers. My wife had the amazing French Toast. The topping was bananas and chopped Mac nuts. The thick slices of Portuguese sweet bread were dipped and fried so they were a little crusty on the outside and flavorful but not mushy on the inside. Perfectly done. Coffee was good and hot. The place was full. If you want a coffee refill you need to go ask for it. The food was delivered quickly and hot. Seating was a bit confusing. We had to find the pre-line at the left then invited to the ordering line. Then we ordered and paid, given a number and afterward, a host seated us. Worked well but confusing four first time. read more
Easy walk in breakfast spot for locals and tourists in Kihei! We stayed walking distance from here and it was the perfect spot to hit up in the morning for a quick coffee and breakfast. It's also right off the ocean and has plenty of open-air deck space to take in the ocean breeze. The line can be a little long when you first walk in to order at the counter, but once we sat down the food came out super quick. I definitely recommend trying their staple Cinnamon French Toast! Seems like you need to eat here if staying near Kihei so my husband and I came for breakfast on our last day in Maui. It was 8am so the line wasn't super long yet. You stand in line to order and pay and the host will tell you where to sit. You can't grab a table until you have placed your order or at least that's how it was when we went. (I've read differing opinions) We ordered a breakfast burrito and the 2-2-2 special which comes with 2 eggs, 2 bacon and choice of 2 pancakes or French toast, I opted for the french toast. Something to note is they don't serve plain tap water here, only bottled water. Burrito was very tasty, eggs cooked perfectly. My breakfast was delicious as well although I regret not adding fruit to my French toast. Servers are all friendly. Food is moderately priced and serving size is average. This is a must try when in the area! read more
As always, my starts are based on the food. And it was good! The coffee was very good and hot. The omelet was solid (good amount of cheese, and the onions were not overcooked, which was welcome since the onions were sweet). The papaya, granola and yogurt was of course delicious. I didn't love the French toast, but it wasn't bad, and the fake maple syrup wasn't half bad either. Not reflected in the stars, but the service was good and friendly, and the tables were pretty abundant and were also clean. There was a wait from pretty early, but the line was to order and not to sit. Best to get there when they open at 7 am if you want to beat the morning rush. Prices at not low but not crazy given that we're in Kihei. read more

The food was decent, portions are super small for the price. My hubby got the egg breakfast plate and only got 3 sausages lol I had the chia bowl, it was good, not better than the one I make myself at home, but I wasn't upset about it. This was an amazing breakfast ! 2:2:1 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 bacon ... best banana and Mac nut pancakes ever with best bacon we have had. Cute location. Great coffee and love the order, sit down, bring food to you process many of the local restaurants have adopted - which this was the model in the mainlands. With coffee x 2, 2 breakfast, 2 upgraded banana and nut topping total was $51 which is good for Maui. Well done ! read more
