Never again. They should at least give you something if you're not deemed "worthy" like a $5 store credit to keep their customers happy. Those clothes cost me a fortune. read more

I've shopped at this store a few times and haven't really had any issues but I will no longer be coming to this location. A few days ago they posted on Instagram about how an employee didn't show up for their last day of work so they had to close early. The post was so unprofessionally done, they have lost my business. I understand it may have been wrong for the employee to do what they did, but to go on social media and act like a two year old was not the right thing to do. Maybe saying you know something like "due to some unforeseen circumstances...." would have been more appropriate. They have since taken the post down which leads me to believe I'm not the only one who felt like that post was inappropriate. Hopefully this location can grow up. And as far as growing up goes, I've also read some of the responses from the owner on reviews written on google and they don't seem very appropriate either. Good luck. read more

I felt like I was robbed by the Kid to Kid resale store in Gilbert on July 14, 2016. I wanted to sell lots of brand new baby stuff and slightly used baby swing so I can save half of the money for my baby's piggy bank and half for donation for the very poor kids in Asia. So I told my husband to go to Kid to Kid store while I was at my appointment for 1 hour. I wanted him to take the stuff to the store to give me the list of prices first of the items that I wanted to sell to them, then he can just come back to pick me up and we will go back to that store together to finalize the business if I will agree to their price or not. But, my husband came back to pick me up with $65 cost of credit instead. I was upset because those stuff that we brought, if priced in half compared to original price could cost for almost $300! We went back to the store because the transaction was done just few minutes later. I would just wanted to get the items back and sell them individually through garage sale or internet, but then when we got there, the people won't give our items back anymore because they said, it has been posted. I really wanted to cry a lot while in there. Because I felt like we were fooled right in front of our face. Eventually, I just decided to just check their items so I can get my baby some decent clothes from their store and use the credits they're giving us, but I was surprised how expensive their used items were! The 12 month onesie that was almost faded cost $2.99! While you can find a very nice clothes for $1 at the Clearance section of Walmart & Ross. The Kid's resale that closed by Hunt Highway has prices on items for sale way better than them! So I just asked them to give us cash. But they only gave us $50. That's all we got. I regret taking the stuff to that store. Wish I just donated the items to the the poor kids in Asia or sell it individually myself.. I will never fo back to this place and will not recommend this place to my friends and the people I know. read more

This is a great consignment store. They have a large selection of new and gently used clothes. I have sold clothes to them and received a fair price. The only negative is you don't know why they reject an item. I try to make sure I bring clothes that are name brands and in good condition. It would be helpful if you could know how much you get for each item and why an item is rejected. That said it is a clean organized store and the staff is friendly. read more

We visit this location today for a doll but came out even better. Captain America and Elsa were in the store. To a 4 year old girl, they are the best things since sliced bread! Although we walked out with nothing, my little girl enjoyed looking around at all the things the offer and can say, we will be back. One of the staff members truly stood out to me, she checked on us through out the time we looked around and even offered us water. I wish I got her name being I would add her name to this review. Know what you are going into and you wont be disappointed. The store sell gently used clothes and toys. They don't offer super high buy rates because they are a business trying to resell the clothes at affordable prices. IF you don't like it have a yard sale or something! They girls are friendly and always seem busy. No one is just lolly-gagging around. They don't mind kids being kids while mom is shopping even allowing the little ones to explore the toys while mommy shops! When you have a question they are alway willing to help. read more

I have been to many kids resale stores and this is by far my favorite! The place is always clean and the clothes are always color coordinated and it is so easy to find what i need. Other places I have been to there is no order or the aisles are so cramped. The resell aspect is so easy, and the employees are so friendly! Best experience ever! I will always come to this store. I brought in about 100 pieces of clothing. Most only worn once and complete matching outfits and current styles. They only wanted may be 10 pieces. Not sure why they didn't want the others but that's their decision. Why I am giving them only 1 star is because they only wanted to give me $1 and item. The most they were offering was $3 on a $50+ outfit from Gymborree that was worn once. For that price I would rather donate. And while shopping around their store the clothes on the racks was much more worn, outdated, not as stylish as what I had and priced about $6 on average so it seems they only give you 15% of what they will sell it for. Once upon a child takes more, gives you more, and sells cuter and nicer things for less. read more

The cashier was very helpful even though I took a lot of her time, because I realized after she rung up the whole transaction that I had a 20% off discount through the app, so she graciously voided the transaction and rung everything up again so that I could get the discount, which saved me quite a lot of money. What a shame, I had a bad experience with Once Upon a Child and was really hoping this place would be better. Nope. The staff were friendlier here, but I found the clothes/toys to be kind of expensive. They turned their nose up to the limited items I bought (they told me they were not in fashion, which can't be true since I just bought them the year before) but found plenty of dirty shoes, clothes, and toys in their store which they should have turned their nose up to. The whole store is way too small for the amount of items they sell. Everything is so crammed , it was way too hard to look at anything without being pushed and shoved by other customers trying to get down the very narrow aisles. Like I said on my OUAC post, I have had much better luck with Social Media and Yard sales. Not going to waste my time or money here again. read more

Worst experience ever!!! Reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. If I could give a zero star I would. They are sneaky thieves and will steal from you. That is not how you run a business. ***Do not bring items in for trade***or you will walk away with little too nothing and they will also take items from you. They took our items including brand new Nike Jordan's still in the box never worn and gave us $2. After we asked for our items back. Do not shop or sell here. They know what they are doing so it's useless to talk to them about it but if you confront them the store sure gets quiet because they know they are wrong for treating customers this way. In a way I feel sorry for the employees because they are just following their owners policies but none the less WRONG. read more

I give them stars for having cute clothes in good condition for cheap. Some of the staff are very nice. I recommend this place to friends looking for 2nd hand baby clothes. The gear seems a bit overpriced but it's all in good condition. Selling here is another story. It's incredibly difficult to get your stuff to the buying area, and there is nowhere to put anything so there are piles of stuff everywhere. You find a space where hopefully no one will trip over your items and they won't end up in someone else's pile. Then you wait. Today it was over an hour and a half before they gave me an offer. Others came in after me and were seen and given an offer within 20 minutes. Not sure if they are really that disorganized or just forgot me. If you're lucky they'll take a few things. If not you just wasted your afternoon to be offered $5. Which, let's be honest, you end up spending and more when you've been walking around the store while you wait. You can leave your items there, but you have to sign off that you will accept whatever they offer you. No thanks. Bringing your kids with you is not a good idea, there is a very small play area but the rest of the store is full of things they can't touch. Navigating an infant seat or stroller through the store is close to impossible. After today, I won't be selling here again until they come up with a more organized process. read more

My pregnant daughter wanted to buy a baby wrap. I told her to check out what they had here. I even called ahead. She went and bought one that was in its box. That night when she got home she took it out only to find it had glue looking like stuff on it. She ended up going into labor that night. Today she attempted to go back and return/exchange it. They told her no as it was a final sale. In my opinion, they should have thoroughly checked the item before buying it from someone and putting it on the shelf. Granted my daughter could have checked it too but trusted that they did since it was out for sale. This is poor customer service and unfortunately they have not only lost my daughter as a customer but myself as well. I often buy items for my grandkids and shopped often as my kids grew. Kid to kid should take situations like this into consideration when enforcing their policies. She can't even sell it on her own now as it is not in good condition. We went to target and bought a new one for just a few dollars more than what she paid new. So much for buying used :( read more

The thing I find funny about these resale places is yes they do offer you pennies for your items to resale them at a higher price that's the business folks! It's basically the exact same concept as goodwill only they actually give you something for your stuff! ALSO every one claims they go in there with all this brand name stuff that is practically new I just find that super hard to believe because browsing their selection you rarely stumble upon a brand name piece....old navy, circo, geranimals, children's place aren't brand name so yes you will basically get pennies for the shirt you paid 5 bucks for brand new then your kid wore it a few times and now they can maybe sell it for 2 bucks so you will probably get 50 cents for it... Everyone complains about how little they give you for your stuff, and follow it up with I should just donate it to goodwill....well goodwill ' s concept is the same only they get you to give it to them for nothing! I guess if you don't want the few bucks you can get atleast drop your stuff off to a real charity or shelter but don't complain about how little they give (goodwill gives 0), they are running a business they have an overhead, and employees to pay as well i.e. business, no different then target or walmart, who buys their inventory for pennies from China (child labor) them turns around and sell it to you for 5. In this case your the supplier rather then china. read more

The toy section is where I've spent most of my time and I've found it to be very organized and stocked with toys that are in really good shape! Every once in awhile you find awesome clothes here. The other day I found two jackets and two dress shirts for my one year old. They were from old Navy and H&M. Most of the store was filled with stuff I wouldn't buy but like I said you can be suprised what you find at times. Glad I came here. The staff is friendly and they have a kids play area in the store. I must say they should clean the play area a lot mire. They kinda let the kids destroy it and probably on clean it at the end of the day. read more

Bad customer service. I went there to sell clothes and the manager copped an attitude with me because they rang me up wrong. The manager knew I needed my clothes to be scanned again. And purposely ignored us as if we didn't exist. I finally said something to the manager asking why I had to wait. And she said she was too busy. I've never sold anything there, but I go often to look for things like Duplo's, wooden toys, and used books. Sometimes you can score something great. Today, they had a Halloween Costume sell, i'd been waiting weeks for this sale. I showed up early, and was able to score a $49 Pottery Barn Kids costume for only $6.99! I never want to pay full price for costumes again. I don't buy clothes for my daughter there, because we like to buy things such as Tea Collection, Janie and Jack, Hanna Andersson and it's rare that I stumble upon that there. But they are great for picking up pj's at a reasonable price and again, wooden toys. I have and will continue to recommend them to my friends! read more
