It doesn't look like much on the outside, but the inside is nicely decorated. I like the layout too! The menu has such a great variety, it took my grandma and I 10minutes to choose something because we couldn't decide (^_^) Even the milkshake menu had us stumped! Most plates are $10-15, milkshakes are $5. Flap jacks are huge (0_0) read more

First time here and I made a bad choice with the Chillaques. I should of stuck with the traditional American breakfast. The portions are huge but not a real Mexican dish. The service was good and no issues. The next time I'm in the area, before closing time of 3, I will try something more traditional read more

Breakfast is great and portions are big. They are definitely shareable portions. My favorites are the Bahama mama skillet and the french toast. When we order both plates for my husband and I we still leave with a small box to take home. There is usually a wait to get seated however, it moves pretty quickly. Also We really enjoy the coffee and their Hershey Chocolate caramel coffee creamer! read more

First of all while u waiting to be seated they have complimentary coffee.. nice touch in my opinion.. wait time was like 15 minutes not bad at all waitress was great as well as the food but beware is a lot me and my husband shared the country fried steak breakfast plate and it was plenty.. my daughter could not finish the late she got country number#1 and my son got French toast of kids menu he left nothing.. only down fall is the have to much crap on the table after all the stuff they had the brought big ole basket jelly. read more

Happened upon Kick Back Jack today for breakfast. The staff: Super friendly, helpful and attentive. The food: Large portions and tried the flap jacks. Very tasty and fluffy. They accommodated egg white substitution which was a plus. Even though there were plenty of creamer options, coffee was strong ( but you might like that). The restaurant itself is pretty large and they accommodate for large parties so it does get loud. Note there is counter seating behind the cashier, so no need to wait for small party. I arrived at 9a and it looked like the restaurant was starting to get full. By the time I left at 10a, there was a line of folks waiting inside And outside so be prepared to wait. Thanks Kick Back Jack for a good meal and atmosphere. Hope to visit again soon. read more

Great food. Not as many choices since pandemic but they are starting to add some back. Friendly service big portions and willing to work with my allergies. I wish they would go back to old hours.. 3pm worked better for me. I've never eaten anything that I didn't love read more

Discovered this place this morning when I did a search in yelp for nearby restaurants in the Upland area. Took my mom and aunt for breakfast. Both my mom and aunt ordered the Carnitas and Eggs. My mom said that the Carnitas were delicious. Carnitas are tricky to make and sometimes come out too dry but my mom said that these were juicy. The only thing missing was some salsa to go along with them. Mind you, they have Pico de Gallo but like true Mexicans, they needed their salsa. I ordered the Chorizo Omelette. It was delish! All dishes came with a side platter. My aunt and I got the pancakes (it was a lot of food in the end) and my mom got a side of wheat toast. Needless to say, I would come back here for breakfast when in the area. Our server and waitress were excellent. I'm only giving it 4 stars because of the missing salsa. read more

Breakfast panjack The pancake is great, but the egg and sausage are not that tasty. This restaurant is not for people who are on diet. I believe the dish that I just ordered is like over 700 calories for sure. It's just too much for one meal. Plus, I think the price is too much. read more

I have not been to this place in YEARS! I would technically give it 2.5 stars because my review is half and half! So, I just added the extra half! The good: Waiting- Holy moly they have a waiting room!! The waiting room serves complementary coffee, which I took full advantage of and had two cups, they have multiple flavors of creamer and sugar. I really like the options! I thought this was a great way to have awesome customer service! We were off to a great start. The food-I ordered a lite meal, one egg and it came with hasbrowns, and a muffin. Super simple but it tasted good and the orange cranberry muffin was quite delicious. The coffee was tasty and the bus boy brought me out some lemons for my water which was very sweet! Even though I got something small I also heard how good the other food was and it looked delicious from Mexican platters to waffles! The bad: Service- you could tell that the waitress was slightly annoyed. We didn't do anything so it could have been the sheer size of our party (10 people) or something that happened earlier. She didn't respond to questions asked until she went in the order of questions that she needed to ask. Example: I ordered the lite one egg meal and asked 'what kind of muffins do you have' she then said 'how do you want your eggs?' I said scrambled then went to ask again assuming she didn't hear me and she ignored me saying home fries or hash browns, I replied hash browns, THEN, she said 'toast or muffin we had xyz types of muffins.' Maybe this is a normal ting for servers but I wasn't expecting to be ignored and she didn't say it politely, I just found it odd. She also forgot some food and mixed up people orders. Not that big of a deal, HOWEVER, when she brought out my food it was cold, not Luke warm, cold. I was afraid to ask her to heat it up for fear she was already annoyed and would do something to it. :/ I would try the restaurant again though since I think it was a result of them being busy, hopefully I just get better service next time!! read more

Not a friendly place for families with special needs kids. We have been here before with no problem and today my daughter was crying because of the noise. We figured we could calm her down like we have before with snacks and her iPad but no sooner had we been seated the manager comes over and says, "We can't have her like this here." Without asking what was going on or even considering that she might have autism. When we explained that he backed off but we already felt that we were not welcome there so we left. Needless to say we will never be back and advise other families with special needs that this establishment is not a friendly place. read more

Food is ok. Large portions but a bit pricey. The menu is too big and has no pictures. The service was so slow too!

OMG. Be hungry. Bring a few friends. Order the Family Breakfast Platter. Not only the best deal on the menu, but plenty of real Breakfast food. Crispy bacon, biscuits with a good gravy, herbed scrambled eggs, and great service. The reason I'm giving this place a 1 star is that I walked in to put an order to and there was three women behind the counter talking amongst each other and not one of them greeted me! I was there for about 5 min waiting to put an order in!There taco and mulita conversation must have been more important! It took another waiter to ask us if we have been helped! And then a young gentlemen came around and took our order! I work customer service so for no one to greet us or even say how can I help says a lot about the employees! read more

Great food (spicy bayou omelet and dirty gravy biscuit was awesome!) and although there were a lot of people in front of us... the wait line moves extremely fast. The service was 100% perfect! Waitress, busboy, and hostess were all great! read more

Worst service. We went in on Sunday Fathers day. And got seated right away. The bus boy came up and provided us with drinks. After that we waited 15 minutes and no one came up to take our order. We flagged down another waiter and told him that we haven't been helped yet. Finally some rude waitress came up and took our order. She had no personality at all. Never said hello, good morning, happy Father's day, nothing. Food took forever and wasn't good at all. What a waste of time and money. She obviously didn't get a tip. Wont be going back either. read more

This place is great for breakfast/brunch. All servings are very large, so come hungry. You can never go wrong with the super flap jacks-chocolate chip, that is a must! Their biscuits and gravy are interesting but good. The one thing I did not like is their sizing on the orange juice. They aren't very clear with their sample size vs a small size. One of the meals came with a sample size orange juice so I ordered it, yet I was charged and given a small size. read more

Wasn't really impressed , the Biscuits was amazing the gravy was the Worse I've ever had !!! And the worse "hash browns ever" ! My egg was suppose to be over easy and it was straight up fried. Best bacon ever ! Great OJ, with an awesome cranberry orange muffin! I most likely won't ever come back. My son didn't even Finish his food and he was starving when arrived and when we left. Waitress was nice. Booths are small not easy for pregnant woman lol. read more

Had very low expectations coming in, but was quite surprised. Service was good and quick. Had the turkey, avocado, and bacon sandwich which was very good. Came with "small" order of onion rings. So I was visiting my dear friend who happens to live in Rancho Cucamonga and upon leaving her house, I mentioned to her that I wanted to get breakfast and if she had any recommendations. Without hesitation, she said you have to try Kick Back Jack. She went on and on about their dirty waffles and fries... I was sold! Now as a true Yelp reviewer, you know I'm going to tell you the truth. I arrived there and was met with a very busy hostess station. I was put on a waitlist after I explained that I would not like to sit at the counter. They really tried to sell me on it but no means no. Sorry lady. 5 minutes later a booth became available. So the decor of the restaurant is more like Denny's. It's like a diner. It's not fancy. It's family style. My server greeted me with a smile and I immediately asked for iced water. I then ordered a banana pecan waffle with fried chicken breasts, hot tea and dirty fries. All of which came to $32.00. The waffle was absolutely scrumptious and the friend chicken was alright. I prefer chicken wings and the chicken could have been seasoned more. It was bland for fried chicken. My server brought out a tea kettle filled with piping hot water and a basket filled with tea choices. I love that! My dirty fries came out 5 minutes after I ordered them and let me tell you they hit a home run with those fries. I was already full off of the chicken and waffles but there I was trying eat fries on top of that! Did I tell you that the portion sizes are humongous??! Needless to say I had to pack the rest up to eat later on. I will definitely be back to Kick Back Jack's whenever I'm in the Rancho Cucamonga area again. If only I could convince the owner to open a location in Orange County! read more

Wait was not that bad. They do have a waiting room that you can get complimentary coffee. Drinks took awhile to get and came back wrong twice. I asked for a chocolate vanilla milkshake and they said they didn't know how to make that. It took a long time and I had no straw for the milkshake for awhile. By the time the waitress came by my milkshake was warm. Whoever is doing the drinks is really bad. Waiter finally came to take our order. Food was really good. Kitchen did a great good. Just wish the service was a little better. read more

Looking for a breakfast joint? Look no further, their menu is extensive. Huge portions! I've had their Santa Fe skillet (comes with home fries and a choice of corn bread/biscuit/toast), chocolate chip and banana flapjacks, and Berry French toast! The portion of flapjacks you get can literally feed 4-5 people. The skillet was really tasty, a bit on the heavy side because you are eating potatoes, eggs, pot roast, and cheese, but it was so good! I was super full when we were done, I had to take the cornbread to go...didn't even touch that thing, that was a big portion too! But it was good when I had the chance to eat it later that night. I went on Sunday around 11am, waited for 20 minutes (complimentary coffee while you wait). Good place! Try it! read more

Great breakfast, great service. Very busy place but they have a waiting area with coffee and danishes

This is the BEST breakfast joint around. I'm not a huge breakfast AT ALL but I love this place and so does everyone I bring here. Their flapjacks are huge and so good, right now my favorite meal to order is the stuffed flapjacks with mixed berries. So, so good. I also really like the home fries, their servings are so big you can really get away with sharing it. Their lattes are pretty sweet, but I like that about them. If any complaints I would say nay to any of the orange juice drinks, they're sorta of just OK but not worth $4-5 a glass. I have also tried one the "dirty flapjacks" and the chocolate can get overwhelming on them but they're okay. read more

New menus! On my second visit the first thing I noticed was nice, new, clean menus! Thank you!

Kickback Jacks is a great place for breakfast. We've been here several times for breakfast and the food and service has been great. They also serve lunch but we have not tried that yet but the menu items sound good. The pancakes are tender and fluffy and one order is huge! Three large pancakes that two of us sharing could not finish. My husband and son really like the biscuits and gravy. My only complaint is I wish they served better coffee. Coffee here is really weak but they keep my cup filled so that is a plus. We've also tried a few of their juices which are pretty good. Prices are a bit high for breakfast but the portions are pretty large. read more
