Pleasantly surprised at this place! Huge portions which was great and a large variety of options! Country platter was big enough to be a meal for two for 16.50 so that platter was worth the price! Upgrading home fries to "Super Jacked" home potatoes was $6 which was way too much $ since the home potato's even with this upgrade didn't have much flavor! I don't mind being charged for upgrades but it needs to be worth it and it was not! Took a long time to get the bill and refills which is why the 4 star rating. $102 for 4 people for breakfast a bit steep due to upgrading! read more

Best cheesesteak I've had since I moved from Philly. Hesitant to recommend so highly as they have been inconsistent in the past. Once I sent back a cheeseburger, overcooked and dry with stale bun. When a new one came back, it was fantastic. Still overdone, but juicy with a fresh bun. I'll take a chance again as when they're good, wow. Kudos to the chef who got this Philly Cheesesteak perfecto! read more

First time coming here and food and service is amazing. My husband and I sat at the bar, Ana was our server. She is so beyond sweet, super patient and very very attentive. For being Mother's Day, they didn't rush us to leave. Thank you for the experience Ana, we greatly appreciate it. read more

This place reminds me of Baker's Square before they closed the whole chain down. Service: The service here was great. Our waitress was friendly, timely, and professional. Very good! Food: The food here is just one knot up than Denny's or IHOP. It tasted decent, but I felt like a couple of years were taken off my life. I can taste and see that a lot of oil was used in cooking my dish. Overall: It's a good solid place. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Holey Moley! Be prepared to be faced with a huge plate of food.... OR be prepared to share. Went here for breakfast/brunch the other day.... ordered the Bahama Mama Fritatta.... which came with a side of 2 slices of toast. Shared this with the husband and we had leftovers. The Fritatta was mostly potatoes.... and there wasn't much chicken sausage. Still it was good... not fantastic... but good. What's neat is that you can get a Fritatta and insead of toast... you can get a pancake or tortillas. So.. that's a nice switch up. read more

9.11.11 So I gave it another chance. It was the only breakfast place that people kept raving about it over and over again. So when I saw a Groupon for it, I thought why not try it again? This day must be my lucky day, came and there was no wait. The place was still super pack but we got sat immediately. I had the omelet with only egg whites and they let me add mushrooms and spinach to my dish. The omelet was great; the only thing is that it was smothered with lots and lots of cheese. Oh and I love potatoes. Their potatoes were super duper good. I enjoyed my dish from the beginning to the end. I was super satisfied I finished my whole meal well except for some cheese that I had to scrape away. So this place is a place I will frequent for breakfast. Great prices and big portions. YUMMY! read more

This is a yummy breakfast spot in Rancho Cucamonga. When I came around 11:30AM on a Sunday, there were lines of families outside. This means something right. I came by myself so it was easy to walk in and grab a spot at the counter for a yummy meal. I got the Corned Beef and Hash. It wasn't the best I've ever had but it was worthwhile. I would not order this dish again but I was just in the mood for that type of food. To be honest, while this place is yummy, it's not too far from a regular chain diner such as Blackbear Diner or IHOP. I give it 4 stars because the service was good and I like how it's a mom & pop shop. I'd recommend this spot for breakfast in RC but you're not missing out if you've never been here and can't return to RC for some reason like you're stuck in the Faroe Islands. read more

Portions are HUUUGEE!! Place is very nice and well kept (kind of has that vacation feel decor) had their Ortega fried egg burger and mannn its awesome. Kick back jacks is a great place to have an amazing breakfast or lunch. The portions are moderate and the quality of the meals are decent. I ordered the country fried steak with home fries and toast. They might as well call this item the beast because that's exactly how I felt when I attempted to eat. The lightly breaded steak was cooked perfectly with a nice crust to it. They slather on a delectable and generous amount of gravy. The gravy itself was to die for. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for good home style cooking. read more

Food here is alright. Last time I was here I felt the place was too dark and empty. It didn't seem to be the most welcoming of all places. There can be a more light hearted feel to this place. Eggs benedict, pancakes, and waffles were alright. A place to try, but not a place to return often for me. read more

I'm giving this place 4 stars because the food was great, but the service was mediocre. We came on a sunday, checked in about 1230 and we waited roughly 30 mins to be seated in the waiting area. The waiting area had coffee for you to drink as you waited, which is awesome. The woman's restroom had a changing crib and a chair for those who are breastfeeding. Food: super fries... must get super fries read more

The best breakfast spot in Rancho. I've been here at least ten times and I always order the chicken fried steak with pancakes. 10/10.

Fastest decision I've ever made choosing a restaurant as I was very hungry after a hike at North Etiwanda, and I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised. We got the French toast and the Bahama Mama omelette. We were surprised that the French toast came with fruits and everything else that goes on top, most places I've been too, all that is usually extra. And the same goes to to the Bahama Mama, came with toast and other sides. Although the price is reasonable enough for all those things to be included. The French toast was excellent, was not too sweet even with the Nutella and everything on top. The Bahama Mama was excellent as well, the omelette had an excellent taste with the onions and sausage fillings among other things, and the hash brows were perfectly brown and crisp. The service was fast and excellent as well. I only wished they had mimosas or margaritas, that would've been perfect after the long morning. Nonetheless, I was happy with my decision, perhaps because some of the other "hip and happening" breakfast places I've been to lately, with top reviews, haven't been up to par. This one will be one I'll be coming back to. read more

I've been going here for years and got the craving for this food yesterday. I ordered a skillet and it was so amazing. I ate as much as I could but after stuffing myself it still looked like I hadn't eaten any! So delicious too. My date ordered the stuffed French toast and he ate the whole thing but was still hungry afterward. He did say it was delicious. The service was fast and friendly but it wasn't a busy day. I have to say this has been my favorite breakfast place in Rancho Cucamonga, even before it was Kickback Jack's & was BC Cafe. For the price, you get a lot of food but it can be really crowded if you go on a Sunday morning. read more

Allow yourself plenty of time to decide on their extensive menu. Absolutely insane amounts of food. I don't think it's possible to leave here hungry. The servers are some of the happiest and friendliest servers that I've ever encountered, including fine dining establishments. Too often quantity does not equal quality, that is not the case here. The food is fantastic. +1 star for having flavored creamers at the table read more

I was disappointed in the service I received. I'm gluten intolerant and when I ordered breakfast I told the waitress I couldn't eat toast or muffins. Her suggestion was I could substitute it for fruit but I would be charged an additional $4.99...was that okay? I told her it wasn't okay and ordered toast, which I gave away. It seems to me that there could have been a better option to substitute bread for other than charging me more money. Other than that, the food was good. I got an over-medium egg which was done perfectly and home fries which were tasty. read more

First off, the big part of this review goes to the waitress. Arlene. She was beyond amazing. She saw that we had been waiting quite a while for our order to be taken when our actual server apparently disappeared, and stepped in. One of us ordered from the appetizer menu and one a sandwich, so she arranged to have them brought out together. She refilled our drinks promptly, and brought us to-go drinks without us even having to ask. I will definitely request her section when we go back! The food was good. Not great, but definitely worth the price, and good. The wings were slightly tough, but the buffalo sauce was delicious and more than made up for any toughness. The curly fries are really good. My husband enjoyed his grilled cheese. We'll definitely be back! read more

In this day and age, mom n pop places are far and few between. Let alone one that's lasted over 20 years. KBJ is a staple in Rancho Cucamonga. When you think of good breakfast in the area, you think of KBJ! The food is great! Although they have the occasional misstep (hence the 4 star), for the most part they're pretty consistent. We love getting the eggs benedict and pancakes. One of the few places I found where the pancakes don't taste mass produced or pre-made. Service is great! They have a couple waitresses that have been there for years. You'll know who they are as they smile more than the other wait staff, and they interact more with the customers. Overall, I recommend KBJ. It's not trendy or pretentious. Just simple, hearty breakfast! That's all for now...until next time, happy yelping! P.S. They usually have a groupon available for some savings. read more

Great food, large portions. The staff is great always nice and friendly. It does get crowded on weekends, but it's worth the wait.

We came here for the first time & had breakfast after hiking the 5 mile loop at the Claremont Wilderness Park last Sunday. The food was delicious & service was excellent. The portions are huge. The prices are a little higher than expected but based on the portion size it was well worth it. Will definitely be returning. read more

When we got there I made the reservation for 10 people, and the server said if all the people were there. I said no. So the server said that they don't accept reservation if not all the people were there. So when the people were complete we went in and the server said that we can't be together in one table. So we talk to the manager, and still she didn't give us one table. So what we did was we did we walk out and leave the restaurant. read more

This was a great choice for breakfast this morning! I ordered 2 eggs and fruit that also came with the largest English muffins I've ever seen. Hubby ordered a frypan dish with eggs, ham, and thinly sliced potatoes (they were yummy!) and he also got a super big English muffin and orange juice. All of the food taste fresh, but the fruit was delicious and so ripe and sweet. The fruit consisted of bananas, strawberries, honeydew, and cantaloupe. The service was the fastest service I've ever experienced and friendly. It was a little pricey, but I'd pay it for the freshness we got! Check out the pic to see the huge English muffins (I'm on a no bread meal plan so that's why they are all stacked on my Hubby's plate ;-)) and see how yummy the fruit is!!! read more

Large dishes, service is great. They open 7 days a week from 6-3! So they only serve breakfast and lunch. Their cocky leeky soup is yum-o! There is a amazon local deal going on for $11 for a $22 meal so worth it. There is 2 locations, one in Rancho Cucamonga and the other in Claremont. Big portions! The outside of the building is deceiving. I thought it was going to be a not so good restaurant but it was actually really good. Has rabbits painted everywhere. We ordered chicken fried steak skillet and Turkey and squaw bread sandwiche with beef barley soup. They even gave me a cute side of tapioca pudding. The skillet came with a muffin choice which is big enough for a meal itself. Definitely can order one plate and have enough to feed two. Will be back read more

Met my girlfriend at Kickback Jack's for brunch today. We chose this restaurant because of the great Yelp recommendations. And you should too! Super pretty art deco designed restaurant that's been around for over twenty years! Who knew! Evidently only me and my girlfriend that's who. Customers flowed steady throughout our time there. We did have to wait to be seated perhaps 25 minutes or so. The wait was pleasant because we sat in the spacious wait room that had tables and chairs. No standing around for us! We both ordered breakfast skillets. So tasty and very generous portions. One could easily be shared by two people. Huge kudos to the wait team also. Our server's name is Stafine. She was completely knowledgeable about the menu options and had great recommendations, which we took and ordered one of the breakfast skillets. Thank you Ms. Stefanie! The menu is full of delicious sounding chooses. You'll easily find something you can enjoy. I absolutely will be back! I enjoyed a very pleasant meal with one of my dearest friends on a beautiful, beautiful Sunday. It doesn't get any better than that! read more

I stopped by this place while I was traveling on business. At 8am, there was no wait as there were very few people here. First thing I notice, there were 4 tables occupied in the back along the windows, which seems to be where everyone was being seated. I was seated in an empty section near the door, right behind the reception booth area. Of note, there was a management or employee meeting of some type going on and they were loud, clapping and cheering; and then suddenly broke out into constant loud conversations. Please, tell me why you would seat me here? When I was seated, I was offered a beverage. Customary, average, and in most cases good service. I ordered the small orange juice. Now, when I place my meal order, I'm told, it come with a small drink too. I'm fine with the orange juice, thinking it would be part of my meal....oh no, no no...silly customer. She brings me another orange juice with my meal. I tell the waitress, I'm fine with one orange juice and ask her to take the second one away. Bill comes and no doubt I'm charged for the orange juice. That's cool. Now I know. But that's kind of a shady sales/customer service practice. The food itself, I had no complaints. It was average. Came out hot and quick. Still, likely not visiting again soon. I travel often on business as I'm a doctor and manage two hospital programs down here in So Cal. read more

Sorry but no! Slop on a plate, chicken fried steak was basically ground meat shaped like steak and heavily breaded. Not worth it for the price. Pancakes were dense and salty. First and last time here! read more

The wait was very long when tables were available. They did have a large waiting area with coffee for customers while they waited, but even then the coffee was cold and ran out, we had to inform staff to get them refilled. The restrooms were not clean. When we finally got a table it took about 5-10 minutes for our waitress come. Our order was wrong and the food was cold. The price was too high did not reflect the quality of food. The waitress was very nice though and that's why I'm giving 2 stars. read more
