Wow, I am surprised to see the low rating on one my favorite nail salons in the Chicagoland area…read more Overall, I have only had a good experience at Evanston Nails. I am regular customer and come every 2-3 weeks. I now schedule an appointment, verus being a walk in due to wanting a popular nail tech. There has only being one time in my 1 year of being a regular that they could not serve me on a Saturday, but I had a time issue and should have scheduled. I tried this salon one day due to in being closer to my home than my prior nail salon and allowing walk-ins on Saturdays. They also do gel nails, dip (my fav) and acrylic, which I love. I will not say the nail tech that I schedule, but this person (they have both male and female nail techs) is amazing. My nails do not break or the paint does not peel. They take their time every time I book them, regardless if there is a appointment in back of me. I've never had to wait on my appointments as I try to schedule them a few days before and for a early time - like 10am. I now visit on the weekdays to ensure I can be seen by my preferred nail tech. I love it here. I've tried another place in nearby and I was not happy with my nails, nor did they last. I'm pretty hard on my nails, but do know a really good nail tech application can survive my treatment of the nails I get.

The services are price comparatively to other nail salons in the area (of which I have tried many!). I've gotten gel nails, acrylics, and a dip manicure done at this salon and had a good experience each time. My husband has had an equally positive experience (and I'm personally happy that the staff is supportive and kind towards a guy wanting his nails done). I will definitely be going back.

I usually don't leave reviews but this honestly bothered me…read more I walked in because the door says they accept walk-ins. When I got there, there were like 3 or 4 workers just sitting and only one client, so it didn't look busy at all. But the moment I walked in, the way they looked at me already felt kind of off. I asked for a simple manicure, nothing crazy, just my natural nails. And they straight up told me "we don't do that." Which... confused me because it's literally a nail salon. I even showed them my nails and explained again, like no acrylics, nothing extra. Then they switched it to "we don't have time." That didn't make sense at all. They weren't busy and it was still early, they close later. The whole thing just felt weird and honestly rude. I don't like throwing this word around, but it really felt like I was being treated differently for no reason. I left feeling uncomfortable and kind of offended. I ended up going to Sofia Nail Salon right next door and they took me right away and were super nice, so I would definitely recommend going there instead. Just didn't feel welcoming at all here.

When you're a mom and never know when you'll have a minute to step away to get your nails done, any business that is open either super early or welcome walk-ins is highly approved and amazing in my book. Thank you so much for the flexibility Dasha. I walked in and was automatically welcomed by Lisa who asked me what services I would like. I told her no chip manicure and regular pedicure. I really loved that she asked me if I had no chip on already because I know that if I did, she would have soaked my fingers while I got my pedicure but since I didn't, she just went straight to my pedicure. However, I appreciate her asking because that shows me she is respectful and mindful of my time and hers. She did an amazing job with my pedicure- I love pedicures but I hate seeing down for a long time to get one so when Dasha cleaned my cuticles, shaped my nails and scrubbed the dead skin off the bottom of my feed within like 20 minutes, I was sold! She was thorough but quick. She also did an amazing job painting my toenails, I was very pleased. My pedicure in total didn't take more than 40 minutes and then she did my no-chip manicure. I've had a lot of no chip manicures in the last six months but none of them have lasted me more than 5 days without them chipping. It's been almost 10 days since I got my nails done by Lisa and they haven't chipped!! Lisa did a great job- I cannot get over how beautifully shaped my nails are and how beautiful the manicure looks. I am so happy with her work! I highly recommend you check this business out- you won't regret it especially if you're a mom and have limited time on your hands!
