I've been going to Cassie for about two years now and I followed her from KA Studio to here! The salon is absolutely GORGEOUS and so spacious! I ended up getting my proposal and engagement party nails by her so I had to come get my wedding nails done by her as well. She did not disappoint! Every time she does a set, they last so long and they look exactly like the picture inspo I showed her. I got a pedicure with my MOH and a full set and they were so kind and patient with us both. Obviously a little pricey but for the quality you're getting, you might as well go to a place that knows what they're doing.

Still messy nails after I came back and asked them to redo it and they insisted I use the same nail tech, wasting more of my time

TLDR: DO NOT COME HERE FOR DAZZLE DRY, spend your money elsewhere! I booked an appointment here for dazzle dry manicure and pedicure, about $15 above the average price in the area. When I arrived, I saw to my dismay they had a much more limited array of dazzle dry colors, so I had to compromise on a toe color that was an off red when I wanted a more classic red. It was hard to tell though how off, as the space was dimly lit with blue white light that made it hard to picture what it would look like in sunlight. I unfortunately do not know the name of my nail technician, as on the reservation it said a female name but he was a man. My pedicure and manicure ended up being much faster than at other places, and as he started my left hand a female technician came up and started chatting and they just continued to talk the rest of my appointment. My manicure was a light color and I was outside I realized the thumb was not only very clearly not even layers, but it also had ripples. I unfortunately did not take a picture, but by the time I was able to come back five hours later I also realized there was multiple pin prick holes on my left hand nails; which means he likely did not know how to apply dazzle dry and put the layers on too thick and without drying, which already did not look great and also meant they were likely to chip further within a couple days. When I came back and asked them to redo the hand, they insisted I be seen by the same man as before despite me asking for someone more experienced with dazzle dry. He redid my thumb but refused to redo the other nails with holes other than to put clear. While the thumb looked better, it still had either a crack or a dark hair or something and still wasn't even. At this point I asked if they could just refund me the $20 for dazzle dry as I was going to need to repaint it soon but respected they had done the rest of the manicure/pedicure and they said absolutely no refunds. They finally gave me someone else who actually did fix it, but this meant my second trip took forty minutes, which was really upsetting because I had paid for dazzle dry as I was busy and wanted something that would dry fast and last a longer time. I have attached photos of fingers after the SECOND ATTEMPT. He also did not file my big toes evenly, they still had bumpy edges.

Was in desperate need of getting my nails done. Never been here and they were open on New Year's Day! It's a beautiful and clean place but I had the worst powder/dip nail experience ever. My guy was very nice but I think he may of been new. After doing the final clear coat there was some type of weird residue or grainy look underneath. He noticed it and started filing all the color off and trying to redo. They still ended up gritty looking and thick, my thumb nails looks like a chicklet candy lol! I'm too nice, I gave him a tip and thanked him . This week I will quickly call my regular shop and hope my person is back from vacation.

This is my second time here and I love it! From the experience to the quality you get, this salon has it all. I get dip manicures and gel pedicures and each lasted me 4+ weeks. I did have to come back to get my mani fixed (I got french and it started to chip a couple days after I initially got it done) but they had no problem fixing it for free and it lasted 3+ weeks after that (: The salon is spacious and clean and plays good music. I highly recommend!

I booked here because the salon's aesthetic is absolutely gorgeous -- elegant, modern, and upscale. They also do waxing in addition to nails and I'm having a big ceremony for my ten year marriage anniversary in a few days so I needed a full face waxing. The receptionist, Rebecca, is the highlight of this establishment - she was warm and welcoming, but no one else really was. My French ombré acrylic set turned out beautiful for my vow renewal ceremony in Hawaii. The nail tech was quick and clearly talented. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn't live up to the price tag or the atmosphere. My pedicure felt rushed, my brow wax left me disappointed with uneven results (professional photography and uneven brows? Can't tell you how disappointed I am even after having her fix them twice, they're crazy uneven). The overall vibe from my nail tech was polite but not genuinely friendly -- just 'nice enough' to secure a tip. When you're paying $80 for nails alone (acrylic full set with French ombré), plus parking, plus a 3% fee to use your debit or credit card, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I'd expect some hole in the wall that was holding on by a thread to charge this type of fee, but a place like this? Super cheap and shady. I'd rather go to a less upscale place with friendly, genuine service than be surrounded by luxury furniture and cold attitudes. The space has so much potential, but the service needs to match the setting. I have to go to a second place now to fix my eyebrows which means more money is to be spent. For a full face wax, acrylic full set, and non chip pedicure I paid $200 (including a $30 tip - $10 for each service. I usually tip much more but when the services are so pricey and $6 goes to a "conversion fee" for using a card, you can't tip as much as usual). Maybe if my eyebrows didn't look like I did them myself and I received more sincere interactions I wouldn't feel so dissatisfied but that wasn't the case. The space has so much potential, but service and sincerity need to match the setting. For these reasons, I cannot recommend this salon.

Saw them many times on the Gram and FB. I finally booked an appointment. The location is on Chicago Ave. in downtown Evanston it is across the street from Whole Foods (east side of Chicago Ave.). I was surprised at how large the salon is. Has an open space of ample manicurist stations. Has like 5 pedicure rooms with 12 chairs per room. So large enough for a wedding party to get nails glammed up. The price difference between a regular pedicure and no chip is $25. The prices are a bit pricey compared to my regular shop prices. But if you like or are looking for a large newer shop I recommend.

Cassie is amazing! I followed her from her previous salon and have been a fan ever since. Her attention to detail is unmatched. She's always so kind with her time and helps me decide on fun designs when I have questions. Everyone here at the salon is always so nice and cheerful. The salon is CLEAN. can't emphasize that enough.

Cassie does an incredible job every time! My favorite nail salon! So worth the drive from Logan!

What you want is what you get. For quality, price, and service-- this is the best nail salon i've been to ever. Great location in evanston near the campus and surrounded by great restaurants. Perfect idea for galentine's day. I was very nervous as this is my first time getting nail art and wanting to preserve the length and quality of my nails, and this place did not disappoint! Truthfully i was a little late for my appointment, but they had no issues at all and were very kind and understanding. They offer you drinks and snacks upon entry which is always a plus! The salon is sooo gorgeous, neat, and clean. Seeing the long wall of all the polishes they have felt reassuring that whatever my reference photos is-- i will get. Their techs are so talented and precise. The layout is so wonderful for a group or if you want to get your nails done with someone. I saw friends, couples, sisters, and mother-daughters getting their nails done together. All the nail techs were super kind and helping each other out, and all the other customers were very happy. My nail tech was Miguel and I am very satisfied with my nails and the care he provided. I got pink cat-eye on my natural nails, and mentioned that i want to preserve my natural nails. Miguel then did builder gel to support my natural nails from breaking or snapping. One of my nails was previously broken from manual labor, and so he put a gel tip on top of it to protect it while still giving me the length that I want. He was very thorough and kept checking his work, ensuring good quality. He was very vocal in making sure that every step from filing, to curing, to shaping, to painting, and even post-manicure lotion was to my liking, and i had no issues at all! Great nail tech! will be coming back again for sure and i so look forward to my next nail appointment because i feel so good about myself!! thank you kiara nail spa and miguel!

The interior is nice and the people are nice. It is Really expensive though. I went to another salon that was basically half the price for more intricate designs. Also started chipping a day into having them. Taking them off they left my nails really weak and dry. Would not come here again

Best nail salon I've ever been to! Recommended to all of my friends. Beautiful interior, excellent service (they even offered snacks and drinks)! And a list of specialty pedicure options for reasonable prices. They have great options for colors and designs. My nails came out perfectly, they weren't too thick and the nail art was precise! Love it here.

My daughter's first time here after getting many recommendations from friends. Very friendly staff, nice space, and the manicure turned out beautifully!

Ridges and peeling from the electronic drill used on a regular manicure
    Diana G.

I truly wanted to love this new nail salon however I'm extremely upset finding ridges on my nailbeds after my technician used an E file (electric file) on my nails last week supposedly to remove my cuticles. Starting in July I decided to heal my natural nails by avoiding all artificial nail services like hard gel, acrylic and even no chip. After painstakingly allowing my nails to grow out this particular nail technician used a drill even after I told her I just wanted a normal manicure for the health of my nails. She assured me she was only going to use the drill to remove my cuticles but instead she used her drill EVERYWHERE on my nails creating these ridges that I found last night when most of my nail polish chipped off. Yesterday morning my thumbnail was heavily cracking on the side which never happens and it's because she was careless and the drill went over every single nail not just my cuticles! Now as far as this shop itself; it's extremely clean, beautiful and the shape of my nails were good. But after months of me not using harsh ingredients and not using a drill I'm very upset with the current condition of my nails. They look very dry and there are ridges like my nails are peeling from the rough way she used the drill over all my nails not just my cuticles. She rushed right through with the machine not caring about the health of my nails. In the future when I request a natural and regular manicure at any salon I will walk out on anyone who insists on using an electronic nail file because the damage is very hard to grow out. Please let the owner of this nail salon know that it's very unprofessional to have a nail technician force her customers into a service they don't want. I avoided the drill since summer and because she used it so carelessly my nails are in bad shape again. Please don't force the e file on customers requesting a natural manicure. My nails definitely look damaged now and the electric file should never have been used for a natural manicure if I'm not getting hard gel or acrylics.

(We were lucky to get in last minute with a major football game falling at the same time as our appointment). The interior of the nail salon is so calming, love the soft lighting, the pleasant background music on, TV with close captioned Golden Girls going and bohemian interior with its crystal chandeliers, Moroccan stencils on one window, subway tile on a wall, and French chic pieces throughout. You don't feel like you're in a nail salon. Estella and Michelle did our honey and milk spa pedicures (the upgrade was worth it) and regular manicures. Both were great and our paws and hands feel so much better as a result. I wish this salon existed back home... I love the little touches as well on how this salon supports good causes and takes the longer route to remove gel versus electric filing which always feels like it damages the top of my nail. Really great business and looking forward to return visits!

Please note, because of this timing, and that no one in my life gets this done, I have no basis of comparison other than a few previous manicures. After needing some TLC, I booked an appointment with Gingerslam Nail Bar for a standard Mani-Pedi. Nothing fancy, no colors or shapes, just enough to bring them up to factory spec. The experience was alright. While I wouldn't go as far as to say it was painful, the discomfort in my cuticles being pushed back and trimmed was greater than I'd encountered in the past. Also, while it felt nice at the time, the oil used on my feet was less thrilling when it met sock and shoe. Finally, one other thing I wasn't thrilled about: In going from the pedi-chair to the mani-chair, I was given a pair of disposable flip-flops. These things were so hilariously flimsy and ill-fitting, my freshly cleaned feet kissed the floor more times than once. Thus, while not a negative experience, I can't say it was an extremely positive one. Though my nails, hands, and feet felt good after, this is counterbalanced by the discomfort of the procedure itself, and feet-on-bare-floor. While a rare luxury, it shouldn't include this level of discomfort, in my opinion. As such, I believe my next nail-care appointment will be somewhere else.

I went in for a pedicure and a no-chip French tip. I didn't say anything at the time because I'm pretty shy, and I didn't want to come off bratty. After showing my nails to a friend, she encouraged me to call and get them fixed. I was hesitant because I didn't want to come off as someone who complains, but I'm really glad I did. The receptionist was incredibly sweet, super apologetic, understanding, and accommodating,. She encouraged me to come back in and insisted they could fix them . When I returned, another nail tech gladly fixed my nails exactly how I wanted them. During the manicure, they painted my nails all streaky instead of solid color and I had to tell them that was wrong and then they swapped out who was doing the manicure but I don't know why I needed to say this. They claim my last gel/drilling was done wrong and that was the problem, but I haven't gotten gel in years nor had this drilling process before so the only way that could have been it is if they damaged them during the drilling.
