We're from CT, and were in NC for a family event; when we found ourselves in search of some West Indian Fare. Khrissy Kitchen came to the rescue. We ordered various items to feed a family of six and weren't disappointed. We got a little buzzer to carry while we waited, which gave us time to visit the brewery where they were parked. I can't recommend one dish, because they were all soooooo delicious! Listen, it was so good I took a picture with the owners to mark the occasion. If you're in the area you have to find these ladies and tell 'em Joe sent you!

A Randleman-based food truck, Khrissy's Kitchen serves up Jamaican cuisine at locations across the Triad. Follow the business's Facebook page for appearances and updates. I had a craving for Jamaican but didn't feel like driving to Greensboro for Da Reggae, so it was fortuitous that Khrissy's Kitchen hit up Brown Truck Brewery a few weeks back. The truck's menu offered the expected jerks and curries in sandwich, taco, and entrée form albeit with a few surprises: you won't find beef patties here, but you will find lumpia. Khrissy, the proprietor, helpfully offered to answer any questions. I opted for a shrimp curry entrée for myself and a "surf and turf" (jerk chicken and fried saltfish tacos) for my wife to enjoy later. Given the components involved, both the wait (10-15 minutes) and the prices (teens) were reasonable. The food was, without qualification, excellent. The shrimp featured a rich and savory sauce, and a side of plantains was cooked to a perfect golden brown. Even simple white rice tasted better here. Khrissy's Kitchen is relatively new, and so word may not have gotten around yet, but if you see this truck appearing at your closest brewery, it's a must-try.

Stopped by on a cool, rainy evening at a local brewery. After some consideration decided on ordering jerk chicken tacos. Those things were tasty! Tender chicken, spice that warmed you from the inside, heat wasn't overwhelming but built gradually. Cole slaw added some nice crunch and cooling effect. Plantains were perfectly cooked and tasted great as well. The whole thing was served on a nifty taco plate for keeping it all together. Service was prompt and super-friendly. Will be happy to see this truck again.

Just delicious! so much flavor in this food. and wonderful people as well! Shrimp tacos may be the best in Winston!

Idk I've eaten at this food truck a couple times and it's really bad. Never again. The fish bites have zero fish in them.

(4.5 stars) I'd been curious about this food truck since I…read moreheard about them last year, and I'm glad that I got a chance to finally try them. Bao Yeah offers not only bao but bowls and fried chicken as well. Their ordering (via tablet) is convenient, and they turn around orders quickly. I went with a three-piece bao, which allowed me to sample the two fried chicken varieties (K*Bomb with gochujang and Garlic Gang with soy black garlic) as well as the bulgogi. All of the bao were amply stuffed with meat and pickled vegetables and slathered with tasty sauce. The thick buns held everything in place, so eating was not too sloppy an endeavor. Everything delivered the expected flavors - sweet heat from the K*Bomb, a tangier note from the bulgogi - and the fried chicken boasted a thick, crunchy batter. It was quite tasty though the chicken was definitely a bit dry. At least the bulgogi was nice and tender. All told, Bao Yeah is a promising newish addition to the Triad food truck scene. It may not be the best Korean street food you've ever had, but you're in for a flavorful meal without a long wait.

AMAZING food and GREAT service! My go to is the Holy Kow bowl and the Korean Fried Chicken with the K bomb sauce. I tried the Holy Kow Bao today- so good! We got a bowl, 2 orders of the fried chicken and extra sides of the Kimchi, bulgogi and sauces to go (so I could attempt to make bowls at home for lunches this week). The leftovers reheat perfectly and do no disappoint. You cannot go wrong with anything on their menu! Now that I know how to locate them through their social media posts, I can find where they will be next and it's definitely worth a drive to get some of the best Korean food in the area!

First off, this isn't just a random food truck. There is such an incredible story behind it. It's run by Gary and his best friend Alex, who have been friends since grade school back in Mexico City, Mexico!! You can feel that deep history in the way they run their business. There's a level of trust, energy, and authenticity that you don't usually see, and it trickles down to the entire team!!!Every employee I interacted with was genuinely happy, welcoming, and proud to be there (which says a lot) especially during these times. They've also set themselves up in some of the best spots around. I visited : 1) Summerfield Farms. 2) Oden Brewing Company. At both locations, you're not just grabbing food, you're getting a whole experience! Plenty of parking, plenty of seating, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Live music, dog friendly. The menu is simple, affordable, and done right. We got to try 4 different tacos, their queso dip, and their churros, and everything delicious! The meat was seasoned to perfection, super juicy, and full of flavor without being overcomplicated. But what really made this experience unforgettable? I got invited onto the truck to make my own churros!! let me tell you, that is not something you get to do every day. It was hands-on, fun, and honestly one of the most unique experiences I've had, collaborating with another business. By the end of it, it didn't even feel like a transaction anymore, we became friends! Taco Bros isn't just serving food, they're building up thier community. And that's something you don't come across often.

Overall the truck seemed very clean and hygienic for a food truck. The staff was incredibly friendly and organized. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. The prices are a bit high which is common for food trucks. Guac and chips was $10 and the chicken quesadilla was $14. One thing that would have been a nice touch was Jarritos. The chicken quesadilla was good but could have used a bit more seasoning. It was good sized and stuffed full of chicken, onions, peppers, and cheese. Overall we enjoyed Taco Bros and would definitely try them again at another event.

I paired it with an NZ Pils from Joymongers and it was heaven. The beef empanadas were just as good. Inside, the seasoned beef was 100% flavorful. I called in and spoke with the owner herself who was very courteous, soft spoken, and informative as well as very very detailed ( just what I wanted ). She made some great suggestions we went with 4 dozen cupcakes as well as three dozen cookies. The red velvet and strawberry cupcakes were delicious on every level. They were moist and had just the right amount of icing and the icing was of course melt in your mouth good not overwhelmingly sweet. The chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal cookies were huge well I actually think every cookie should be this big . They too were moist and delicious. Okay all my oatmeal cookie lovers I'm not so sure what she puts in these but I'm convinced it's magic . I saved one for my husband ( but I ate it on the way home ... I had good intentions and figured he really didn't know what he was missing. ) Now let's talk price she had amazing prices on these fresh baked goods and she offers a discount to all first responders ( in honor of her son who was a firefighter). Let's be honest during these tough times these guys and girls definitely deserve a sugar rush and what a "sweet way" to say thank you . She also had special offers for large orders for events such as mine. Make sure to place your order early with her as she stays busy and will need to put you on the schedule. The inside of this bakery is exactly what a bakery should be everything is displayed beautifully. It's decor is so cute and cozy and the smell well it's just delicious! The service was still wonderful and the food was really good. The sweet potato cornbread is one of my favs and the chicken wings and catfish bites were fried to perfection. I love collard greens but do understand, everyone makes them differently. My family is from eastern NC so we make ours savory, theirs have a little sweetness to it.
