The food is great, and the prices are reasonable for what you order. However, the store manager treats the cooks and staff very poorly. When dining in, you can clearly hear how he speaks to his employees. New staff members are often brought in for two or three days of work, but he does not pay them for the hours they've completed. Several young Indian students, in particular, are left unpaid, and it appears he takes advantage of their student status to exploit their labour. It's extremely disappointing to see someone treat members of their own community this way. I am 100% sure Mr. Kapoor is not aware of this type of behavior. We wanted to visit here since this is Sanjeev Kapoor's restaurant!! Some of the reviews are a little too harsh. I am going to go with a 5, to improve this places ratings. This place was packed with two large group parties at the same time and that tells you a lot of people like it. The ambiance was good and service was too. We only had Paneer handi and Naan and both were good. The only suggestions I would give them would be to pay attention to the bathrooms and keep the place a little bit more professional with such large parties at the same time. read more

I thought they might've improved as they have almost doubled their prices. My wife had always liked their Fish Curry. So we ordered via Uber. We got meal for 2. We got Fish curry, daal, it came with chicken biryani, naan, gulab jamun and yogurt. Everything was below par. Fish curry was the WORST. Before it used to be coconut cream based, yellow in colour and very flavourful. But this was nothing compared to before. Extremely spicy and full of oil. It was not edible at all. They spoiled our evening. I will NOT recommend this place to anyone. You can much better food from other restaurants and at a much lower price. Craving some fine dining experience we decided to give Khazana a try. It may seem expensive at first but I feel it's totally worth every penny. We ordered the Reshmi Seekh Kebab for starters. The chicken was tender and juicy and the flavor of the dish was just amazing. Can vouch for the Kebabs they were gooood! For the main course we ordered the Reshmi Paneer. Either we were hungry or the dish was so good that we left the bowl, in which it was served, spotless. To spice things up we ate it with Onion Spice Roti. That combination just worked for us. For desserts we were a little disappointed because they'd run out of the Gulab Jamun Tiramisu but then we were glad we ordered the Gulab Jamun Gulkand which was equally very very good. Did the express lunch, tikka trio, truffle masala fries and the gulab Jamin. Paneer sooooooo fresh and delightful. Butter chicken had a great twist. The chicken tikka was a fantastic execution but the flavor profile for me didn't do it. I see they went for a heavy mint flavor; I kind of missed the original tikka flavor. However, will try it again without 'expecting' the tikka flavor. I may appreciate it more cause the execution was terrific. Lastly, the sweet old gulab Jamun. Oh...sorry, let me introduce the restaurant - especially the peculiar name of it. As described by Shailesh Gangwani (owner of this location and the Milton one), Chef Kapoor is India's Gordon Ramsay. The celebrity chef has 175+ published cookbooks, 81 restaurants around the world, and 500Million+ viewers of his Khana Khazana TV Show. Shailesh's two restaurants are what I assume is Chef Kapoor's first North American ventures. Khazana means treasure. A treasure of spices, aromatics, and creativity awaits you at this fine restaurant. I for one do not understand the poor ratings. Those who know me, knows I do love great Indian food... and this is one of those spots. As we all know, it's tough out there. This large restaurant that can hold 200+ patrons and has a well appointed private dining room is empty. BUT that does not mean we can't get take out. Until we can once again sit inside, let's take the food outside. My first takeout was their Dinner for Two. Choice of one Curry + their signature 24K Dal (24 hour simmered curry), Naan, Rice, and Gulab Jamun. Who can say no to that? At $30, it's a steal! They do have an equally amazing Dinner for 4 at $50. If I wasn't single, that would be my bring home dinner - then again, I could probably make that into a whole week of meals! Challenge accepted! Er.. maybe not. I'll just get the dinner for twos and invite a friend! :D On the second trip, I wanted something different. They have an 8 piece Tandoori Meat Melange - $24. It's supposed to be an appetizer but when you are dining for two, it can be a meal. Just added some Naan, and got some Gulab Jamun - can't forget those! We were visiting from California and wanted to try out this place. We went out for Dine-in. This place did not live up to the hype and expectation. This was one of the worst experience we had. Can you expect that your food was served with roaches ? This happened at this place. This was shocking in the times of COVID-19. If you can see roaches in your plate then what would have been happening in the kitchen. This place is seriously INFESTED. The Brampton health department should look into this and investigate. Sanjeev Kapoor needs to pay ATTENTION here with utmost importance. People don't visit the restaurants for these kind of experiences. Here is an advice to the owners - Don't take people for granted and avoid being "HABITUAL OFFENDERS". At least, don't play with health of people. This place can deliver SERIOUS HEALTH RISK and should be considered HAZARDOUS if you are concerned about your health. Simply throwing an apology won't work. After landing in Canada as a PR, this was the second restaurant we visited. The food was good that you may get at any other local restaurant. However, the service was horrible, as mentioned below: Did they have cutlery on the table before the table was given to us? - No Did they serve on time? - No Did they have all the items available on their QR (online) menu? - No Did they serve appetizers after the main course? - Yes Did they clean the table and take plates after serving appetizers - No Did they provide enough bowls and dishes? - No Did they give an excuse for staff shortage because of a big party they're prioritizing over other customers? - Yes Did they answer with attitude? - Yes Whenever we highlighted the same thing to the servers, they apologized. Still, they were ruining their apologies with an excuse of managing a big birthday party and a staff shortage. They continued with the same horrible service. The best apology is changed behavior. *Despite this horrible experience, they added a tip to the bill without our knowledge. When we reached out to them the following day, they pointed to their terms and condition and mentioned it is mandatory. I actually found out about this restaurant while I was on uber one day. I asked the driver which one is his favourite Indian cuisine. And he told me about this restaurant. Reshmi seekh chicken kebab. It's hallow and very flavourful. The butter chicken, I find it a little too sweet. Wasn't a huge fan of it. Magalorian Fish coconut, it is quite spicy, but very flavourful. It goes well with the basmati rice. Service was great and very attentive. After dinner, you get a hot towel to wipe your hand. Will come back when I am in the area! read more

This meal was amazing! So filling definitely can feed more than two people everything in the picture is included in the meal except the paneer trio which is extra. The daal (lentils) were so flavourful it was my first time trying that dish and I absolutely loved it! Very rich and creamy with so much flavour. The butter chicken had nice chunks of chicken and the sauce was delicious. The chicken biryani was filled with large pieces of chicken as well and the caramelized onions gave it such a great flavour. The meal came with so many pieces of naan and was amazing. The paneer trio was really flavourful I loved each of the different marinades on the paneer. You can tell the quality of the ingredients used here and it was all delicious and rich. The whole meal minus the paneer is only 39$!! Such a great deal. read more

Short version: One of the rudest servers I've ever encountered yanked a bill out of my hands and has ensured that we will never return to this restaurant. * My family and I were so disappointed with our visit. We were celebrating two birthdays and wanted to try a new Indian restaurant. We were looking for delicious Indian food and decent service. Some of my dad's friends had recommended Khazana, and the reviews seemed decent so we made a reservation. As soon as we arrived, we were treated in a surly manner by our server. He did not greet us, ask if we wanted drinks, or engage us in any of the ways that servers generally do. It wasn't busy at this point. He asked questions about ingredients in dishes when we gently requested that he do so. Once we ordered our (copious amounts of) food, we asked him to take our drink order as well. We were given several bottles of Evian and Perrier, with no offer of tap water and I realized that each bottle cost $5. I think they should either inform groups that they charge for water, or do as most restaurants do and offer a choice between bottled or tap. Later, we finished the two that we opened and let them know that we wouldn't be opening the other three. What's the point when we each ordered other beverages? The rest of dinner was uneventful, with some minor mishaps not worth mentioning. The general ambiance was chaotic and loud, as they placed large parties (25+) in spaces that were far too small to accommodate them. There were other servers who brought out our food who were definitely more polite, prompt, and kind. I got the distinct sense that our server was rude and careless because an automatic gratuity applies to groups larger than six people. Lastly, when the bill arrived there was an error with the aforementioned water - they charged us for a bottle we didn't drink. I politely pointed this out and the server argued back that we were wrong and did drink it. How embarrassing - we wouldn't make this up to save $5 when the bill is already several hundred dollars! The icing on the cake was when the server abruptly YANKED the receipt out of my hands. Some of the dishes were decent, but I've never had a server - or anyone in customer service - yank something from my hands. This restaurant is famous because of Sanjeev Kapoor. We ordered delivery of around 35 veg and non-veg thalis for a lunch at work. The thali included channa masala, butter chicken, briyani rice, rita (yougurt), Lettuce (not salad), one gulab jamun and a nice big naan. I wish it was as good as its name (chef Sanjeev kapoor's khazana) . Slowest service i have ever experienced. It took 2.30 hours to get out of this place. We went with family of 6 menu and ordered Tomato soup as they were out of chicken soup. Paneer tikka and Angaar tikka in the appetisers which was the only thing we loved there. Chicken tikka masala , malai kofta and shahi paneer were the mains. Malai kofta and Shahi paneer were having the same tomato soup gravy. Koftas were so bad i cant even explain in words. Overall we had a very bad experience at this place. If you are going at 5Pm then think of having a dinner because they won't let you go out before 8pm. read more

I've never heard of Chef Sanjeev Kapoor before, but since he's apparently some hotshot chef from India, I was excited to try this place out. I had the chicken biryani and stole some butter chicken/roti from my friends who were dining alongside me. None of us were big fans of spicy food, and the restaurant really toned down on the spices at our request. Big points for that. The chicken was amazingly tender and flavourful, as was the butter chicken. Now that I know this place is quality, I'll be sure to be a little more experimental with my menu picks next time I'm in the area. read more

We brought my BF's mom and his family here for her birthday celebration. The food was very very good, no complaints there. We ordered a bunch of different items to share - my faves dishes were the veggie tandoor platter, the pistachio naan (so so good!!) and the chili coconut fish curry. Downside : Our waiter however seemed possibly inebriated, and even more so as the night wore on. We ended up waiting 15 awkward minutes to pay the bill as he wandered away while we were trying to use the debit machine and it stopped working. Not a great way to end what was mostly a fun night. This surely represents that how careless the staff is in Brampton branch of Khazana! We reached the Restaurant at 9:15 pm because of Holika Dahan we got late and the manager said that they'll close the Restaurant by 10 pm but we can eat our meal upto 10:15 pm(which is good!!) and we have to place our order until 9:40 pm. We placed our order around 9:30 pm because by heart I know every items which I love but still we got our food at 10 pm. And yes we were strictly told that they will serve our starters and main course at the same time. So I felt like a cow or something that we have to eat all at once. They were so desperate for closing the restaurant that they didn't had the courtesy to ask for a dessert (which we ordered while placing our order) before presenting the bill. I'm a big fan of Sanjeev Kapoor and I've tried almost every restaurant and this one is the worst one! Didn't had such experience until now. Why you guys are doing this to Sanjeev Kapoor's Wonderchef and degrading his reputation. I was so happy by my experience in Milton's Sanjeev Kapoor's Khazana but now I'm thinking to avoid such experience which we had in Brampton yesterday night and hence we'll not recommend this place to anyone! I had come to visit GTA for three days and I had two meals here. It is probably the best fine dining India establishment in GTA. Amazing food, every dish was bursting with flavor and texture. Naan was soft fluffy with lots of garlic topping. Appetizers were very well marinated, tender and served with great chutneys, the one with pickle flavor is like fireworks in your mouth. If you haven't tried it you need to put Khazana on your list of must visits. read more

Some of the recipes are unique which you will not find anywhere else which is great. They currently have a special price for lunch from Mon-Fri till 5pm that is for $20 you can have 3 dishes, 1 appetizer, 1 dessert and 2 garlic or butter nan bread. Definitely worth trying!! This restaurant is spacious so it's perfect for big group/family dinners. The ambience is nice. The food is good- but nothing to rave home about. When we order curries, we always order family style(you gotta share the curries with the group- is there any other way?) but we order a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. For my family of four we were ready to order 3 dishes and the waiter stopped us at two curries, stating that the quantity was huge. We still ordered three curries and I'm sure glad we did! The sizes were average, barely any for leftovers. The naans were a tad overpriced. If I'm paying more than 4.00-4.50 for a special bread you're pushing it. The food was good. It's a different atmosphere, it kind of reminds me of the style of fancier restaurants I've been to in India, but with mediocre food. One of the worst experience in Brampton. The ambiance and location is good, but the quality of food and service is below average. At least you should keep the goodwill of chef Sanjeev Kapoor. Went for buffet lunch with family and friends, almost all dishes are empty and they are not willing to fill the trays. Asked for butter Naan, they served after 20-25 minutes. I have been Khazana's very regular customer since 3 years i.r.t to dinning, take out or hosting parties at Khazana Milton and Brampton. I hosted a party today and was very disappointed with the inaccuracy and unprofessional attitude of the owners to make money and not trusting their regular client. I was charged for a total number of guests which was more than my actual guest list to whom I sent the invite. In spite of showing my guest list, they didn't trust me. I was charged for an amount per person which was more than the agreed price. I was being charged $100 extra for being 30 mins late than planned end time , in spite of me giving heads up and receiving an Okay from their senior staff. I was charged 18% gratitude which was not agreed upon , as I always pay gratuity to the head staff on duty for the party directly. At the end of the day, I ended up paying $400 extra than planned/actual amount. I had to pay them as I am not someone who would argue and spoil my party. I referred many friends to host parties in Khazana and helped them arrange a number of them. Also, for party take outs I recommended Khazana to my friend. Sadly, I have to say, I am done with Khazana now. Also, lately , for all my friends and my online orders, the quality and quality has degraded significantly. I brought this to their management and owner's notice multiple times, but no improvement till date. So , thanks , but no thanks Khazana. Very disappointed , upset and frustrated. Ordered small party combo for take out only cause it was the one place I found while I was quickly searching that would offer such a deal for my large crew visiting from out of town. Had very low expectations since I basically picked the first place I found, but was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food that we got and the quality. The combo came with 6 dishes, 10 naan, rice and dessert for $75 and that was plenty to comfortably feed 8 adults with leftovers. Food is North Indian, so not on the spicy side, but very tasty! If I ever come back to the area again I will strongly consider paying this place another visit. Also props to the staff who were handling orders coming via phone and counter, and packing up food like pros during the dinner rush. read more

Everything is relative, compared to other restaurants the food is just not good, irrespective of the elevated price. The ambience and service really doesn't help if the food is not up to par with fine dining. It doesn't do justice to good Indian food. My expectations were high given that they have a famous chef backing them but with due respect it's like most other Indian joints pre made gravies spiced up very generic, but not for the discerning palate. read more
