Who knew wontons and salsa were so delicious? Hopping Saturday night at Khans, staff kept the food bins full, cooks kept lines moving, servers were great, female bartender not so much. Still one of our favorite places.

It was just okay for me. As a first-timer, I found the buffet-style setup a bit confusing. When I got to the sauce section, I really wasn't sure what to do. Despite adding what felt like a lot of sauce, I was surprised by how bland my food tasted. What stood out most, though, was that the restaurant felt dirty. I understand that with a buffet-style setup, spills happen--but the overall unclean environment definitely took away from the experience and made it a 3-star visit for me. They share a parking lot with a few other restaurants and a hotel, but even though it looked full, I had no trouble finding a spot.

Khan's is fine, as all-you-can-eat Asian food goes. It's Mongolian BBQ, which is basically where you choose from a variety of raw meats, veggies, and noodles, and you take it up to the grill where they cook it for you. The ingredients have always been fresh whenever I've gone, but the thing that keeps this from being really good for me is that no matter how much sauce from the sauce bar I put on, it never feels flavorful enough? They have just the one standard mongolian sauce up there, plus some additions like vinegars, oils, garlic, etc., but their sauce base is just not flavorful enough to me so it's basically impossible to get a really flavorful plate without it being completely soggy. That being said, I am a big fan of the mongolian chips and salsa that come free with your meal if you're doing the BYO bowl! The salsa is sweet in a way that I love and the chips are wonton chips. I think if they could offer some more sauce options or bring the price down, I could see it being more worth it, but you can do BYO bowls with comparable or slightly better sauce options at several Chinese buffets in the area for cheaper and with more added variety included in their AYCE.

Food quality is okay, a little bland even with the sources, service is average, but do check on your, ambiance is a typical diner

This place was recommended to myself and a few co-workers by a couple of the sheriff deputies at the jail we were working at in downtown Minneapolis. We went there doing the lunch hour and this place was busy. But it is a buffet style restaurant but you could also order a few items off the menu. Which is what we ended up doing. I ended up getting the spicy wings and plane wings. They also provided us with some wonton chips with a sweet and spicy chili sauce. Those were absolutely delicious. The young man who served us was awesome. He didn't hover but he was attentive enough to make sure that we had what we needed. The ambiance of the place is definitely lively and quite colorful.

I usually like Mongolian BBQ but don't see myself going back to this place. It was about $25 per person for unlimited plates which I think was kind of pricey compared to other similar buffets. The places is definitely a bit rundown or outdated and the tables were sticky. Although there was a wide selection of protein and veggies, I found the sauce selection to be limited and confusing/mislabeled. Our waiter was very nice though and kept a good eye on drinks and getting our finished plates. Overall 1.5/5

Walking into this place it's decor igas lots of red colors and art and gongs. I never been to mongolia so I can't tell you if the decor is correct. The place smells great due to the food getting cooked in the open near the giant gong. The food bar was surprisingly clean and well organized. There was anything from beef to shrimp.. they even had vegetables and diffrent types of noodles. Overall a good selection you can do an all you can eat for like 23$ but you can't take the left overs home or a bowl for 21$ it was not a big difference but you can take the leftover home. If you layer your bowl properly you can fit more than enough to feed a hungry tribe in it. The food cooks within 5 to 10 minutes depending on how much meat you get. Pro tip. Open the meat up so it layers easier.. fill bowl at least about 1/4 way with sauces to avoid it being too dry. Also use the thinner noodles because they hold the sauce better than the thick bigger ones. The food is nothing spectacular but I'm not a big fan of the frozen beef and products that are paler thin. If you find meats that are not rock hard and thawed out because they don't turn out as rubbery when cooked. The staff was all very nice and professional. They were willing to help where they can and made sure everything was as we wanted.. while there we did not feel rushed and our server made us feel at home. I forgot to take a photo so I had already eaten a good 1/4 before taking the photo. Thats an example of how much food fits in that tiny bowl.

We tried Khan's Mongolian Barbeque in hopes it would match our favorite Genghis Kahn Mongolian BBQ back in Concord CA. It came close. This was more of a 3.5. First, the single bowl price of $22.95 is much higher than the $18.95 on this site's menu photo. The all you can eat was like $3-$4 more. Considering the size of the bowl you get to put your protein (freeze dried meats), there's not much room for your veggies and noodles. But in the end, it was a decent oval plate of food. You have your choice of beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, tofu, lamb, imitation crab, tilapia, but there was no calamari. The veggie choices were plentiful and good. I especially liked the snow peas pods. You have three choices of noodles: lo mein, thin rice noodles, and pad Thai rice noodles. I have to say I was suspicious of the lo mein noodles; they were white. What Asian eats white lo mein noodles. They were not the yellow egg noodles I'm used to and taste. But when cooked, they weren't bad. The sauces from mild to extra hot were not bad plus the selection of optional sauces (extra garlic, curry, teriyaki, lobster sauce, black bean and peanut sauce) but they were all very watery. I put a lot of spice, garlic and teriyaki sauce on my bowl because you'll need it for taste. A glass of soda is $3 each but free refills. We got a plate of fried won ton and a dipping sauce of their signature Mongolian sauce (ok taste) along with a scoop of white rice. Would we go back? Maybe, if we have the big urge for Mongolian bbq. The single price for such a small bowl is my apprehension; it's $8 more than what we paid at Genghis Kahn in CA. Eating out is just so expensive here.

The complimentary chips and sweet salsa. Their wings are good as well.

Been coming to this spot since high school. It's always a fun experience and you will never leave hungry. You make your own stir fry so you pick the meat, seafood, and tofu. It is vegetarian friendly and they have all the veggies you could want. If your unsure about which sauces you want in your stir fry you may follow the guide or the friendly staff is more than happy to help you. The ambiance is nice and if you tip the chefs you bring your bowl to you can bang the gong. It's a fun place and the ingredients are quality.

So Khan's Mongolian BBQ is buffet style, but they do have appetizers that you can order aside from the buffet. You pick your cold items, your meat, noodles, veggie, spices, sauce and take it to the back and have the guys in the back cook it stirfry style for you. The place gets SUPER packed around dinner time, standing room only, and ppl come ready to eat. Customer Service: The host was pleasant and so was my server. Actually, my server was very pleasant and hospitable. The guys who cook the food seemed stand-offish and not as pleasant. Ambiance: It's pretty worn down there. Gives hole in the wall type vibe. The seats are worn out and have seen a lot of butts apparently lol. It's basically a lot of booths and the buffet in the center of the restaurant. Food: I definitely enjoyed my food. My ONLY problem was as I drank my drink, I found someone else was getting drunk of my beverage too. LOL There was a HUGE fruit fly inside of my drink. LMBOO I didn't tell my server and my date didn't mention it to him either. I of course didn't finish it and we didn't make any problems, but it was pretty traumatizing. LOL I'm not sure that I would return, but I did honestly enjoy my food.

Came here at the recommendation of a lot of people. Not knowing Roseville I thought it would be fun to meet one of our partners here for lunch. For those who haven't grown up with Mongolian BBQ it's pretty simple. For 13.99 you get one bowl or four 17.99 unlimited trips. It's essentially a meat and veggie lovers paradise in which you pick what you want, put in the bowl and watch guys cook it on an Asian wok. They have sauces and flavors you add and they even have gluten free so I could eat here while on whole 30 I just couldn't have the fun add one like chips or noodles. It's definitely a dated place, decorated with an Asian flair and has a full bar for folks who want to drink. It was a fun lunch and I would come back with a group when I can eat noodles

Still steaming hot off the grill.

We came for an anniversary dinner and chose to be seated at the bar that overlooked the kitchen. I know I've said before, but I love this look into the kitchen, watching everything being cooked, seeing all the orders, it's just so fun. We started with cocktails and the Silesian dumplings. Both were excellent. Hubs got the duck two ways and I got the duck burger for our meals. I told him we couldn't go to a place that specializes in duck and not get duck. Both dishes were perfect. The duck confit sauce was delicious and the burger was out of this world. We couldn't turn down a couple of paczeks for dessert too. Service was great and sitting next to the kitchen, got to talk to some of the cooks as well. Overall, great experience at Black Duck.

The exterior is a little unassuming with the patio kind of looks like a family style restaurant but inside it's upscale dark and gold modern chic. THE FOOD Pierogis - 5/5 so pillowy Doused in a butter sauce, delicious potato goodness. A little steep for $19 for 4 pieces, but definitely a highlight of the night. Silesian pierogis - 5/5 the Parmesan leek sauce was a great compliment to the almost mochi, textured potato dumplings. Definitely different than the normal pierogies, but in my opinion, the sauce really stood out for this dish and was well balanced with the pickled cabbage. Pork dish 4/5 - the pork was cooked PERFECTLY, nice char on the outside with a juicy inside, not dry by any means. The sauerkraut plus the mustard sauce was a perfect bite. However, I do feel the mustard sauce is quite overpowering at times so if you don't like mustard do not get this. It does look like a large portion, but I did eat all of it with a little bit of help. I do wish there was some sort of starch on the plate, but better portioning the most pork chops restaurants that I have had. Flat iron steak 3/5 - I was most looking forward to this one after seeing it on Instagram however, the dish somewhat fell short for $40. The steak was cooked beautifully, and the potato pavee was exciting since this is quite rare where to find in the Twin Cities restaurant scene. There was not much sauce on this dish. The small bit of sauce provided, being quite buttery and did not add much to the flavor. The potato pavees were very crispy and a nice inside texture but for me a little bit oversalted, but there was just nowhere to go in the dish for sauce/punchy flavor. I wish there was an aioli/chimichurri to go with the potato pavee and some other type of seasoning like a Mexican seasoning on the potatoes. It's seems the entrees were not very vegetable forward however I feel like for $40 the pork and the steak could have used maybe a few pieces of brussels sprouts or asparagus to balance out their richness. Overall, a very lovely experience. I feel like anything on their menu is worth a try. The waitress mentioned that they do have rotating seasonal items. You won't be disappointed!

But, we were able to order and drink one drink during the ~45 minutes we had. They closed up shop promptly at 10pm. They had a classics and a "rumors" section of the menu. I didn't think the signature drinks were overly unique, with classics like Paper Plane making that menu side. I had a pomegranate mojito which was good! Consensus was that the cocktails were good not exceptional, especially for the $16-17 price point. We ordered churros for the table which were a table favorite! Centro is in a nice location that's near the Rosedale Mall but not all the traffic. I haven't been to this restaurant since it's been remodeled (previously Good Earth) and it's very trendy, IG worthy. Bright colors, murals on the inside/outside. It was seat yourself dining. And "scan the QR code to order". However, we did have the waiter take everyone's order because it was going to be ONE BIG BILL. Drinks came out, then we ordered food (apps for some, entrees for the rest). Great happy hour deals on drinks, and chips w/ dips. I ordered a Guava Margarita. It came in a lowball glass, garnished with a lime and spicy tajin rim. It was strong enough for me. Tattersall.... say no more! Tasted like a normal Marg, guava didn't stand out. Apps were shared. Chips were warm and salty. Guac was above average. Salsa and queso stood out more. Cool Ranch wings with ranch dip. Others loved them. I didn't taste much "Cool Ranch". Dirty Yuka fries. I got to try 1 but grabbed lots of its toppings and sauce. Don't know what a YUKA is but that was good. I would have had another if there were some left. Now my entree.. the Elote Carnitas Crunch wrap. Didn't come with any sides (rice, beans) or dipping sauce. Although I did steal some leftover Ranch from the wings. I cut it in half for easier eating and it looked beautiful. Due to the Carnitas, it was very drippy/messy/wet. I rolled up my sleeves, and made sure I had it over the plate vs my lap. It really didn't need a dipping sauce. It had some heat to it, and it built with each bite. But it was a good heat; tingly lips. Nothing on fire that made you pant or required milk. My coworker got the Cool Ranch Crunch wrap and hers was dry... and needed a dipping sauce for moisture. She used leftover queso and it was much better. Food came out in waves. Many staff helping out at the table with both bringing food out and clearing used dishes, empty glasses/ bottles. And no errors in the order. Great to see teamwork. To-go boxes were given to those in need and they looked like recycled paper/cardboard vs Styrofoam. And paper bags were given to the people with more than 1 to-go box. I would definitely return to try more items on the menu.

The music here will change day to day, but on this Friday evening ours was beautiful. It included piano, trumpet, bongos, drums and bass. Staff were all attentive without being overbearing and allowed us to enjoy the music, and the food ended up being fantastic. We got deviled eggs (some of the best I've ever had) and Okonomiyaki which in this case was a variation of fried sweet potato and was delicious. Drink variety ranges from fruity cocktails to wine to N.A. beer and they had something for everyone. My only complaint of the evening was the booth we sat in was not very comfortable and it required a lot of fidgeting. Other than this 5/5 experience.

I went on a night where the Berlin donated all proceeds to the Immigrant Defense Network, and I appreciated seeing them stand with their community. The staff explained the cause, and why they participated in the no buy day. This place was worth the hype, I put off going for months, but will be going back! Next time I go, I'll need to try a snack or get a drink! I think it would really elevate the experience.
